We have no chance against a team that can run the football because of our sloppy game against Indy…or something

All-22 Grades for Bills/Falcons (The Athletic)

Edmunds is about to hit his 5th year option we haven’t re-signed him yet. Plus I’m sure happy McDermott hung on to harrison Phillips for too long 😂 -
Week 18: Jets at Bills - a W wins the AFC East!

Still though…no team just steamrolls their way to the superbowl and wins it. You want the easiest path possible there’s no bonuses for style points lol -
Who you guys pulling for in the NFC

Man that would really rewrite the book on staffords whole career. Seems like people see him as a guy that piles up tons of stats but can’t win big games. Cardinals getting their first superbowl win before us? No thank you lol -
Not that it was an easy play but diggs had a shot at essentially the game winner in that first pats matchup on a perfectly thrown ball and it hit him right in the arm…haven’t seen too many wow plays out of the wrs this year and you’re rarely gonna get someone comically open on a deep ball so it’s usually gonna be a 50/50 situation. It seems like only Davis is making the contested catches.

Yea pretty sure the issue is gonna be in the pile when dudes are trying to rip his foot off lol a guy with one leg could’ve done that warmup 😂

Idk why people are more scared of the colts than the titans when the titans swept the colts lol

Phil rivers was absolutely masterful in reading our defense’s coverages that game…credit to josh Allen for carrying us to a huge win…and gabe Davis as well. Wentz might be ahead of what rivers was physical talent wise but he is nowhere close in diagnosing a defense. also…colts had 3 wins by the time they hit 5 losses. Their schedule was front loaded with a lot of good teams and they lost a lot of those games…no surprise there that’s what happens with mediocre teams. A lot of times this whole ‘a team got hot’ narrative is exaggerated wildly by scheduling. that’s kind of why our season has been so interesting…we have always shown up against great teams and the few stinkers we have had have been against bad/decent teams. -

Assuming edmunds plays I think we will be a lot more successful at slowing the colts down. Despite looking clueless at times he is pretty stout against the run when compared to Milano and aj Klein had a really rough game filling in for him at mlb in that colts game. We also played nickel pretty much the whole game…gotta think that’s due to the edmunds injury too. I don’t think so…titans with a healthy-ish Derrick Henry would be worse. Also people that think our pass rush has underperformed which seems to be the majority around these parts should not feel great about a road game with the chiefs. Colts stomped us in the first matchup no doubt…but they are a bit of a poor man’s titans. And the patriots are a bit of a poor man’s colts lol -
I think we are just awful offensive execution in the first pats game away from thinking we have a great home field advantage lol I can see why people feel that way though. I don’t think tannehill/wentz/Mac jones really have the arm strength to do anything in a bad weather game so assuming we’re not missing some front 7 guys like we were in the colts game we could sit in something that isn’t nickel all game long against those teams while josh will still have success through the air. I think that first pats game goes differently if AJ Klein doesn’t hit the Covid list at the last possible second…we were missing edmunds against the colts also. Star was missing as well but not sure that counts because he’s been missing a lot 🤣

He drew a holding call for the first time in his career this season that’s pretty big news 😂 -
I think that thread got closed for not having a title lol. He looks like he’s running about 75% with zero cuts or contact…don’t think we can tell much from that. Also it’s really more about how he feels after. If he’s not 100% and he’s playing he’s really not helping the team much
-
I feel like case keenum improves the browns…I don’t mean too much disrespect towards baker because he was playing hurt pretty much all year but a little bit of disrespect was intended 😂
-
Bengals look like they’re likely gonna lose…no burrow or Mixon and there’s a pretty big chunk of guys on the Covid list. I doubt the chiefs are gonna roll over and just give us the two seed though so we’d need a pretty big upset from the broncos
-
Long shot scenario I would love is pats lose to Miami and the raiders win and bengals win…NE would have to go to KC and we end up with a home game against the raiders. Cincy would likely knock off the colts for us then we’d get a hopefully Derrick Henry-less titans in round 2 after beating the raiders and kc would get a rematch with Cincy
-
Very much looking like it won’t be New England based on what’s going on with the bengals….burrow not playing and a bunch of guys on the Covid list. And a healthy case keenum starting for the browns is gonna be more effective than injury riddled baker has been. My money is on us seeing the colts or raiders because we’re gonna jump up to the 3 seed. A lot riding on that chargers raiders game for everyone. If the bengals lose the pats will most likely see them in the playoffs as they’re pretty much locked in to the 5 seed and playing whoever the 4 seed ends up being…unless we blow it against the jets but at that point who cares who we play in the playoffs 😂

Joe Mixon to Covid list OUT Sunday
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Baker is not playing which honestly might improve the team 😂 browns could win that one cincy is gonna pull starters at some point -
yea the odds of someone getting upset between the bengals and pats seems 50/50 to me though. assuming that the bengals will rest some starters probably after halftime. I think that game is nearly meaningless for them. joe burrow had a minor knee injury last week too so im sure theyll be extra cautious. i think mixon is on the covid list also as well as some other guys
-
I think josh was pressing for the big play that game because he didn’t trust we could put a long drive together with the bad blocking/consistent penalties we were taking. I don’t think we’ll see a game like that from him again…he might have had a worse passer rating this week technically but he was real bad in that Jacksonville game. Gotta trust those guys up front
-
I was very much not talking about our team…that was in reference to these ground and pound heavy teams with average passing games. Josh is our whole team that is obvious and literally my point…we have a chance to win it all the answer isn’t to limit him because other teams run the football better with rbs. You do what it takes to win the game in the playoffs no matter what. But if I was saying what you thought…I would provide the chiefs losing an offensive linemen against us in the playoffs and getting absolutely obliterated by the bucs as evidence 😂
-
What is unsustainable about it…he can get injured? I guess that’s the part I struggle with understanding. You can remove one offensive linemen from a strong running team and the whole running game falls apart…anyone can get injured. If we struggle running the football why would you want to remove successful running plays. The main focal point for a defensive coordinator every week is to try to limit the rushing lanes for josh so if you’re gonna start limiting that facet of his game defensive coordinators are gonna take notice and it is going to bring the whole offense down. Despite nobody liking our rbs we are still a huge threat on the ground and that is opening up avenues in the passing game. I’m not saying throw him to the wolves every season but I’m all for designed qb runs with the prospect of the superbowl on the line
-
I mean a lot of these qb runs you guys are talking about are improvisations where no one is open so those two types of running kind of go hand in hand. I think a lot of defensive coordinators around the league are wishing some of you guys ran our team 😂 so much of the defenses resources goes into trying to keep josh in the pocket that it opens up all kinds of other plays Ok so we’ve got a common ground here lol long term I don’t think that is the plan. Cap reduced year though and it was not really feasible to try to rebuild the offensive and defensive lines in this same offseason. We went after dline and I doubt we expected the offensive line to regress this badly when we had so much continuity. I think the current setup we have has performed much better so I have some confidence going forward. We ran well when the opposing defense knew it was coming to close out the last 3 or 4 games that is usually a good sign. You’re paying a guy a quarter billion dollars to mask some of the deficiencies in the roster and he has done that for sure

I just asked the same question in another thread lol it just puts too much pressure on a defense to remove those kind of plays especially in the short term.
