  1. Chiefs still get away with holding with their dbs every single play I think we wised up and did it too last night though 🤣 we had a few absolutely terrible holds/ dpis that had to get called but other than that they let those guys play. They'd probably give up 100 ppg otherwise lol
  2. Haha that is criminal...he's probably the most important defensive player on either team last night
  3. against average teams maybe....the colts and chiefs did absolutely whatever they wanted to us in the playoffs...if Josh didnt carry us we wouldve gotten bounced in the first round. gotta tip my cap to the gameplan against lamar though our defense gave him fits both times.
  4. Why is everyone sleeping on heinicke lol...is it because he's not some 22 year old rookie? He's honestly been good to great his whole career and they might look at him as the long term option. He's much better than Roethlisberger is at this point in his career. The chiefs defense isn't inside Allen's head...no one could get open last year because our receivers were all horrifically injured 🤣...not to mention they got away with a boatload of holds. I think if we were a little healthier we wouldve lost that game in a close shootout. And this year with our defense playing better we've got a good chance Also he is much more likely to play well though because they have one of the least talented defenses we'll see all year. Frank Clark is their whole defense and he is banged up
  5. Yea id say we're being quite complimentary of the chiefs haha I think theyre borderline unstoppable up until the redzone where being able to stretch the field vertically isn't as important and that's where we'll have to make some stops...which is why you see teams defending them the way we tried in the afccg. Letting tyreek Hill beat you deep is just gift wrapping them points
  6. I do think a lot of this had to do with having 0 trust in his defense...kc did absolutely whatever they wanted both games whether it was rushing or passing. To be fair to Josh he won the Colts game single handedly playing that way lol so it's not always all bad. I have a feeling he's gonna have more faith in the defense this year and we can play a little more field position provided we get some red zone stops. Not to mention our receivers are much healthier this year compared to the playoff game ...beasley had a broken leg diggs had a torn oblique and Davis had an ankle injury I think
  7. Happened to the cardinals after the hail Mary too lol Yea thankfully we don't have to play ALL the good teams in the playoffs lol a bye would be enormous and we have a lot of near layup division games so I'd say we have the inside track if we can get the w this week
  8. I would still argue allen came into the league firing on all cylinders relative to the talent around him. Herbert and mahomes got dropped into fantastic situations because the chargers couldn't win a single close game and the chiefs were already a solid team drafting a qb that they could groom. Allen made Robert foster look like an all pro lol I can't think of anyone else that could do that. This whole narrative of he was bad and then worked hard to improve is pretty exaggerated in my opinion...he won like half his starts with an all time awful roster with receivers that led the league in drops and were last in the league in separation
  9. Oh yea I just mean comparing qbs on completely different teams is tough...like if you plopped mahomes onto the bills roster who knows what you'd get. It's scary to think of what josh could do if we had someone like Travis kelce
  10. I was gonna say the same thing... a lot of these teams that have beaten supposedly great teams have also barely held on against pretty mediocre teams as well. We have absolutely annihilated three teams in a row and the game we lost we controlled most of the game.
  11. I dont see how brissett or heinicke count as backup qbs... they are likely both better than the guy they replaced. Davis mills sure that's a backup. Heinicke has been somewhere between solid and great every game in his career except for when we played them
  12. Mahomes played one game in his career in a josh allen like situation where a 4 man rush was crushing his offensive line and he did not look confident nor calm lol
  13. Our defense was a sieve last season outside of one nice performance against Baltimore and Josh allen carried the whole team lol
  14. I'm still very suspicious of the chiefs defensive performance in the afc championship game lol they got away with a ton of holds not to mention all our receivers had serious injuries. Felt like they had a ton of 'coverage sacks' from their questionably tight coverage 🤣 refs in the super bowl weren't having it. From the looks of it refs this year aren't having it either. Their dline has been pretty awful this year as well Yea theyre pretty much unstoppable on offense between the 20s and we just have to tighten up in the red zone where their ability to stretch the field isn't as important
  15. Yea we'll be 'fine' if we don't win both statistically but getting worked by kc for the third time would be such a huge blow to the confidence. We could go 15-2 and none of that matters really if we can't beat kc
  16. Don't really have the luxury to rest him...I know it's way too early to say this but theres a very good chance this game decides the 1 seed. Kc,Baltimore, and Cleveland all have a lot more tough division games than us so we are way in the driver seat for that 1 seed if we beat kc. That bye is huge
  17. Houston is a terrible team overall but they have a pretty decent defensive line and a good offensive line imo so it's still pretty impressive what we were able to do in the trenches
  18. I still don't think we were stunned by pit that game felt like more of a fluke to me. Almost happened to gb yesterday against pit as well...they were absolutely dominating then pit blocked a fg and returned it for a td to take the lead but it got called back on an Offside that couldve gone either way
  19. I think we're sleeping on Washington a bit...they went out and dropped 30+ this week and scored 30+ on the giants also...heinicke can definitely play. Defense is definitely more reliable than offense and you would've seen the offense taking more risks today if we didn't trust the defense so much. The weather was pretty awful as well so I wouldn't hold today's game against the offense
  20. I think it was more of a result of bad luck than a wakeup call. Pit was a questionable Offside call away from going up on the packers on a blocked fg td despite getting dominated most of the game today...felt super similar
  21. I'm not sure if we were intimidated we used the gameplan on the chiefs that everyone uses on us and we got roasted by Travis kelce...likely would've happened to TB also if we didn't bang up kcs offensive line. I dont think we had even a moderately healthy receiver for the afccg so our built to win shootouts team never really had a chance but im not sure intimidated is the reason why.
  22. Haha scheduling complaints are everyone's favorite threads in general
  23. Idk how we can complain about our extra opponent when we won the division last year and still got to avoid the best team in the nfc east by far and the patriots have to play them instead loll so the whole original post was wild 🤣
  24. Yea could be me just remembering the big plays...our receivers were absolute poop that year so its tough to tell where the blame goes lol i think we had more drops and less wr separation than anyone else in the league. I remember year 2 he noticeably struggled on the deep ball...I thought he was good last year though.
