  1. Huge play in the game was the Beasley int and pff wouldn’t have credited that against josh. He also gets credit for the deep pass to shakir and the Knox ‘drop’ in the end zone from pffs point of view josh had a 400+ yard 4 or 5 td game with an int and a fumble a lot of those deep balls were the right read too and just barely missed
  2. Which is kind of odd to me…RZ interceptions conceptually feel the worst but an interception on your own side of the field is a lot worse. I think that is literally OPs point…the margin of error is how much you can fudge around and still win the game and we fudged around a lot and still won the game lol
  3. Pff hasn’t been too friendly to tre so the pff disciples might disagree 😂. I’d trust the all pro voters over pff for sure
  4. Pretty intrigued for the rematch…I felt pretty good about the bills chances that night too haha. The bills defense always starts slow and our offense is virtually impossible to stop when they’re getting offensive line push like we saw on that first drive. That would’ve been a fun one if the worst thing ever didn’t happen.
  5. I’m not seeing a lot of times I wouldn’t have wanted him to throw the deep ball here. That Beasley play was an absolute mugging by the db wow.
  6. I’m with you after originally thinking Hendrickson rolled into him on purpose. The replay had a really odd hitch in it that it took me a few times to realize
  7. Bills defense was great against the dolphins but I think that’s getting lost due to how weird the game was…Skylar Thompson really didn’t play that badly given the circumstances. He bought himself a lot of extra time and made some plays off script. held them to 42 rushing yards on 15 drives. cincy is banged up on the offensive line also and burrow is not the most mobile guy in the universe.
  8. Miamis play sheet glitched on cover 1 press so that’s kind of how it goes. We were running a deep cross to pull the safety and then the outside guys were beating the press 1 on 1 down the sideline. That was the weirdest football game I’ve ever seen lol it’s a look a team with a qb like Allen and receivers like davis and diggs would be begging an opponent to play all game and the dolphins did it and almost won. go routes down the sideline seem to be the only thing davis really excels at and the dolphins were just giving it to us all game 😂 in a not so distant alternate universe josh hits on a couple more of those deep throws he missed by inches and he’s got 500+ passing yards and 5 tds
  9. Linebackers are the worst in football? Lol that is an absolutely incredibly incorrect take. Jaelan Phillips/Bradley Chubb/Melvin Ingram? Heck even Jerome baker is pretty good. Only average player at LB is elandon roberts. Jaelan Phillips was the best player on the field yesterday and it wasn’t even close.
  10. Healthy Hendrickson might make it a different story, but I’d rather see the bengals defense than the dolphins with a healthy Xavien Howard. Cincy doesn’t have the talent in the secondary to man us up and send the house. Kohou and howard were playing well down the stretch…crossen isn’t very good but one mediocre corner you can gameplan around. Wilkins/jaelan Phillips / Bradley Chubb are all great pass rushers. Dolphins problems all season were on the back end with Xavien Howard playing well below 100% for most of the year. No disrespect to the bengals defense but no one on their team will play as well as jaelan Phillips did yesterday…he was absolutely everywhere.
  11. Could’ve been less damage to the knee groove in mahomes’ case. There’s definitely varying severities…could be a pretty big injury risk to the ligaments too if you’re playing through that I had a friend playing basketball through a kneecap injury and it ended up leading to him tearing his acl
  12. Miamis got a tough front 7 and they were blitzing often…our oline is going to look a lot better against cincy. Granted cincy will actually do things on offense haha it will be a completely different game no matter who wins I think the deep goes were the adjustment…we just didn’t hit enough of them.. they were giving us free tds frequently playing cover 1 press most of the day. Of course in previous games we have gone deep too often though so I could see people being frustrated at this one
  13. That’s how I’m looking at it…we really gain nothing from blowing out the dolphins there
  14. Really bad hold the play before their td too…I think it was a quick screen to Ahmed if I’m remembering properly
  15. I don’t think hodgins is any better than kumerow and crowder they both just happened to get hurt
  16. I’m strictly talking about yesterdays game…if cover 1 comes out and says ‘he shouldn’t be throwing to open go routes’ I will be shocked. Those ARE layups for huge gains. These were not often risky downfield jump balls like in weeks past…there was one of those to diggs that was a ridiculous throw that hit him right in the hands somehow. Lots of the shots were wide open go routes though…most notably the back to back to Davis that everyone complained about im not trying to say the criticism from previous games is false im just trying to say it doesn’t track with what happened yesterday. Miami basically inverted the formula against the bills that’s been employed all season long so the thing he’s previously been accused of doing too much of became the recipe for success imo. Miami was gambling that their dbs could jam long enough for the pass rush to get home and the results were pretty mixed…they were lucky to not give up a buttload more points lol I think any type of advanced play analysis from yesterdays game is going to be a lot more josh friendly than the posts here are making it sound but we’ll see. If you don’t want your qb taking deep sideline shots against cover 1 press you need a new qb. Trying to thread the needle deep into cover 2 like he’s done sometimes is a completely different situation
  17. The offense is gameplanning around missing a starter too keep in mind lol they’re not just gonna leave some talentless hack on an island one on one. If the OL guy they’re replacing was responsible for picking up assignments one on one because the offensive scheme relies on flooding the field with wrs then you could start seeing major issues. Miami could run a one man route to tyreek hill and he’d still get open if Thompson can buy enough time 😂
  18. Miami had armstead play which made a huge difference.. the other guys that were out are so bad that their replacements weren’t that big of a downgrade. Eichenberg is absolutely horrible and shell is pretty bad. No armstead and they would have gotten obliterated Miami runs a lot of heavy sets too so they can gameplan around missing some offensive linemen a little more successfully
  19. Let them keep thinkin it lol give us the outside single coverage/ blitz heavy defense every game I still don’t even get it though…those two picks really weren’t on him.. the fumble was but he’s certainly not the first good qb to fumble a football
  20. I don’t get how it’s not everyone’s cup of tea haha that’s what I’ve been trying to figure out 🤣. Those underneath throws are not just free yards especially when your guys are getting jammed and the pocket is collapsing. They could get tipped, they could go through the receivers hands, etc. if your guys are winning single coverage go routes that’s a throw you just have to make. In past games josh has been going deep into tight windows and that I certainly wouldn’t endorse but an open go route? Give me that every time. I hope every team tries to model the Miami defense
  21. Nobody is going to duplicate that game plan lol it’s pretty much suicide but it was also Miami’s only chance…so much went right for them and they still gave up 34. It’s pretty much the polar opposite of how I’d play the bills…people are talkin about how we only run deep go routes…then wouldn’t you just play two safeties over the top all game long to take that away? Why would you let your dbs get beat one on one down the sideline with no help all game long. we were a couple inches from scoring 50+
  22. Is it even high risk if you’re going to err on the side of overthrows like we were doing? Throwing short passes in a collapsing pocket is just as dangerous if not more so. I mean if we were talking about jump balls down the field that’s a different story, but our receivers were winning one on ones down the sideline all game long
  23. I didn’t realize this was sarcasm at first and almost went off haha. People are carrying over their criticism from previous games and it just isn’t relevant to this Miami game imo. If you’ve got a guy in single coverage with two steps on his man, you throw him the ball every single time. I don’t care what team/qb you’re talking about. What are the odds you put together 60 yards of dink and dunk plays against that Miami front 7 compared to the odds of hitting a pass like that. that’s a presnap read/automatic throw every time and Miami was giving that to us all game…we just didn’t hit on enough of them to make it comfortable. Game plan wise that was a 20+ point win but the execution was terrible with drops/overthrows/receivers losing the ball in the air/receivers getting hit with the ball and it getting picked. Things could’ve gone wrong on underneath throws just as easily and the reward is nowhere near as high
  24. You’ll probably get a lot of eye rolls on this one because nobody wants to give division rivals any credit but there’s definitely truth to it. Miami and pit are both real tough defenses up front and people were talkin like either opponent would’ve been a walk in the park: Miami is loaded with talent on the defensive side they have just been underperforming in the secondary most of the year despite Kohou lookin like a steal. Xavien Howard played most of the season banged up chiefs whole front 7 is pretty much one guy…miamis got 3 guys that can hurt you rushing the passer
  25. Certainly not from that game alone. Up until this one he’s been pretty much lights out in the playoffs too so I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. I really think pick 1 was on John brown, pick 2 was a ‘good’ defensive play (questionably pi). He’s gotta be careful with those fumbles close to his own end zone though that’s my big complaint. If he wants to take a single coverage shot 60 yards downfield I don’t have any problem with that because at worst that flips the field I don’t think blowing out Miami yesterday would’ve reasonably meant anything in relation to the game next week. It honestly might be better that they had to gut it out. Miami might have given us some looks early that cincy could’ve thrown at us. We seemed to really be getting after cincy with our offensive line on that one drive so I think it’s going to be a completely different game.
