That's a big "if". I sure hope so man...

oh yea but the reply was to ‘even if he can play he’ll probably be limited’…I don’t think that’s really possible in this case

he’s either playing full or not playing

One of these years they're gonna pair Mahomes with a Randy Moss type of WR and legit 2 & 3 weapons similar to that 07 Pats offense, and he's gonna cook the entire league.

That’s pretty tough to do when parity has been kicking your a** for years haha they took a calculated risk with the tyreek trade counting on having the resources to replace him and idk that they’ve done that.  I think theyre in the late stage NE skill position players drying up because of poor drafting hell lol couple bad choices of veterans and a couple draft picks that have yet to pan out

they’re winning with defense now and have to throw a ton of money at Chris jones to continue doing so and even he is gonna start to decline if they lock him up long term.

    Belichick wasn’t right.

The Patriots never would have accomplished what they did during Garopplo’s time there if he was the starter. No way, no how.

Exclusively playing devils advocate here as I agree with you haha. But they would’ve had a ton of picks/cap to play with if they traded Brady at the right time and had a qb on a rookie contract which is what I’m sure bill was pushing for.  Very doubtful they would’ve won it all but they did win 11 with cassell and 10 with mac jones so I could at least see why the friction happened.  Bill probably thought he was gonna show the world how right he was this season and they absolutely flopped 😂

I guess, but I would say it's more on JA17 and McD.

Because again, if you can't beat a Chiefs team having a 'down year' at home with all the momentum the Bills have built the last few months....when are you ever going to do it?

We all know that the Chiefs are going to fix what's wrong, even if they get to the Superbowl because that why they are hands down the best organization in pro football.

I think when you look at the AFC it's going to stay stacked for years to come....Lamar/Ravens, Bengals with a healthy Joe Burrow, another absurdly talented franchise QB in Stroud, Dolphins with Tua, Chargers and Herbert will be right there if they make the right HC hire, etc etc.

Big part of their issue is the decline of Kelce so without a Time Machine idk how easy to fix their problems are.  In fact they seem headed down the recent NE path of skill position players drying up and whiffing on attempts in the draft to replace them making things really hard on their generational talent qb.  Obviously mahomes will keep them relevant but this narrative that all their problems are just gonna go away is pretty laughable. They’re also in this mess because they whiffed on some OL additions so why are we so sure the team that got themselves into this mess willingly will get themselves out? Lol. That’s pretty illogical

mcdaniel is out in a couple years and tua won’t be far behind, he has to be the most overrated head coach in nfl history.  They were all in this season and did nothing but absolutely implode.  Tyreek will start to regress, Xavien Howard will be a cap casualty, armstead will retire, they’re in a huge cap hole and are kind of forced to extend tua who absolutely will not be worth the money they pay him with a back loaded contract just to field a team next year.

chargers being good hurts the chiefs a heck of a lot more than it hurts us and they have a bunch of impact players leaving in free agency

ravens will be good for awhile, Texans look good, bengals I really just can’t tell.  That anamuro magic is starting to wear off and I think they’re gonna lose one of their big three receivers which is really gonna hurt the offense

Afc east is lookin very winnable and dominating your division is the best path through the playoffs.  If anything no matter what happens this weekend, this season has showed me everyone in the AFC playoffs is gonna be beatable for the foreseeable future

  5. I think beating a playoff team last week with 3rd/4th stringers all over the defense has bought beane a ton of time.  The depth this year has been impressive to say the least

beane might be one of the best gms in the league tbh all these picks we were initially very sour on have blossomed into good players that have meaningfully contributed

THIS. I expect Bernard is out. I also fear Taron and Dodson are big questions and most likely out. If any of the 3 play they will be limited and not 100%.

Let's go Klein and Rasul! We need them. I sure hope I'm wrong but the way McD didn't mention Dodson or Taron worries me. Watch that video of Bernard stretching. He can barely stretch his left leg... almost falls off balance one stretch to the left leg. He ain't playing.

Why would taron be limited?  He’s in concussion protocol…if he clears he’s full go.

But there is a pretty solid argument for that. Some of you act like there's no nuance there.

If we lose, McD will be 5-6 in the postseason overall and 0-3 vs the Chiefs including a home game against the weakest version of them we may see for a long time and one of those being a direct chokejob from him personally, assuming that doesn't happen again in Meeting 3. And 3 straight years of Divisional Round exits since hitting the apex back in 2020-21.

It's not crazy...it's pretty logical. That would be a very disappointing body of work with an elite QB.

The only coach I can really think of that had great regular season success and some but not a lot of playoff success that was fired is Marty schottenheimer and his playoff record was a heck of a lot worse than 5-6 lol historically this would be a near unheard of firing.

People will say dungy but really that’s evidence we should keep McDermott honestly…gruden won a superbowl with dungys players that dungy likely wouldve won himself and when he finally wrestled control away from dungys guys he promptly ran the franchise straight into the ground 😂. They thought they had parcells lined up who changed his mind and they got stuck with gruden.  Then, the raiders were having no regular or postseason success and dungy won a superbowl with a different team

thats the danger for me, if you could line up a new coach before firing your current coach then yea its a much easier discussion.  But the way it works the odds are high the guy you want chooses a different team and you’re out a pretty good head coach that has perennially given you a shot to win it all.

the whole ‘we haven’t won a Super Bowl yet what do we have to lose’ argument makes no sense to me…there’s a lot to lose

If we hadn't accumulated so many injuries, I'd agree.  But we did.

I'm worried. And wasn't till we lost Bernard and the others.

And KC has gotten better the last two games.

This isn't the easy game it looked to be before the Steelers game.

If we struggled to put away the Jake browning led bengals for 3.5 quarters there’d be a huge panic around here.  Since it’s our opponent though it’s a great performance that’s supposed to scare us 😂.

they have really struggled getting the ball in the end zone the last two games the starters played.  1TD and 6 fgs against the bengals which kept it close all game,  2tds and 4fgs against Miami.

Nor is it the same Chiefs defense. Bills need to take advantage of their opportunities without a drastic shift in field position or momentum.

What’s different about the defense?  I have read Bolton didn’t play against us last time on here which is not true…they were very healthy last game against us also

they’re missing a pretty good safety but he didn’t play last game against us either

No, but Hochulii or whatever his stupid name is, is such a gold plated prick that he'll reflexively take the contrarian opinion.  You know it's true

I genuinely don’t think so lol I think they have really inflated egos and the chiefs calling them out probably pissed them off.  I do think some of it is home cooking too,  feels like every game we get screwed is on the road (jets punt return, pats ineligible man downfield flag pickup, eagles sh*tshow) and the game we got bailed out was at home (giants no call dpi)

God help us.  He has the face of a guy that will do bad things because of spite.  It's like the NFL assigned him because the call on Toney might have cost KC the last game, so they want to make sure all the calls go the other way.  I absolutely hate that the league makes me think this way

I’m on the flip side of that I think they were probably pissed with how badly the chiefs whined about it.  Its not like they stopped calling offensive offside after that game

all the bengals fans panicked about the ref assignment against us last year and they destroyed us lol

Injuries never help.  But I think Johnson is the most important player on the list.  If we can get Johnson back it’s big.  If Barnard SOMEHOW is active, even better.

I feel comfortably with the depth on the rest of the players who are out

Johnson is practicing he’s on pace to clear the protocol banning any surprises.  Today is a big indicator if Bernard will play

We showed that we can beat this team earlier this season. Yet both teams are different now as the Chiefs have Pacheco and Bolton back and we could be missing Douglas and Bernard. etc. It's going to be a tough team but playing at home things give us the advantage we need to win. Toss in Sneed appears to be limited this week, if they lose him that could really hurt their defense.

Bolton played last time…we had the pleasure of being his inaugural game back lol

I think we still have a route with a decimated back 7 on defense and one turnover on offense. It is a narrow route but there is a route. If we turn it over more than once we are toast.

Idk how decimated the back end is gonna be…lookin like Douglas and Jackson at corner with taron back in the slot.

I have concerns with officiating getting in the way of this game - hope they just let them play.

Josh is usually a wild card in my mind for the past season and a half. What Josh shows up to play? But I feel like he is dialed in and I am really glad for his sake as he lifts the energy of the whole offense when he is in the zone.

Jones can be a game-wrecker in the middle and I think he is playing on a 1-year deal so basically showcasing his play to either go FA or simply put himself in a great negotiating position. So (as usual) we have to be aware of where he is at and provide some help, but effective running is best way to slow down him pinning his ears back and reeking havoc in the backfield.

I do think we have great depth with our defense that has been tested to the max, but we are now very thin at LB and I did not see any roster moves to shore up that depth so that has me a bit nervous - will see what that injury report looks like at the end of the week.

Perhaps the biggest ***** in our defensive armor is missing Taron Johnson and I think Pittsburgh realized pretty quickly that Cam Lewis filling in for Taron was our "Waldo" (referring to interviews with those who have worked with our OC Brady and how they said one thing he would always do when game planning was to find a player or players on the defense that they could attack - "where's Waldo" )

Knock on wood, that our strong run defenders on the line play the dominant way that they can as KC has been leaning more on their run game. So yeah, I am just trying to enjoy the ride and enjoy this improbable run this year and keep my Bills OCD mania in a healthy place.

Chiefs are a different beast I honestly hope the refs are actually throwin flags against the chiefs only lol.  They are very handsy in the secondary

looks like taron is practicing I don’t think it’s lookin good for benford or Bernard though

Right. People act like the Bills are the only team with an injury bug.

I think the Bills take it in a close one. KC's offense is really inconsistent this year, Mahomes can't rely on his WRs.

Stack the box, force Mahomes to throw against a sub par WR group. It's really that simple.

Last game was crazy…it does sound like a lot of those players will come back though.  A lot of teams have injuries but not a lot of teams have aj klein having to cancel a family vacation to be the focal point of the defense in the playoffs lol. I think we really undersell how bad our injury predicament has been at times this year.  We had 3rd or 4th stringers at every lb and cb position in the second half against pit im pretty sure

Of course you do realize that the interceptions that have happened, have been the least detrimental to the team of any quarterback in the league. In other words, teams have scored the least amount of points off of Allen’s turnovers as compared to any other starting quarterback. To put it one other way, Allen’s interceptions happen at a time or place where the other team is unable to capitalize and realize those points from the turnover. I am also aware that we tend to win more when there are less interceptions, so there is a correlation. Maybe it’s defense exhaustion, but idk, hopefully it doesn’t happen and if it does, it’s not too detrimental and we still win…GO BILLS. Either way, he is not any more prone to interceptions than any other quarterback. He just has more, but that is just a numbers thing as he also has many more touchdowns too.

It is pretty amazing for someone that is supposedly an interception machine he hardly ever turns it over on his own side of the field or throws a pick six.

I still don't understand why the Dolphins are living rent free in some of ya'all heads considering how lopsided this alleged rivalry has been in recent years.

I'm more worried about the Chiefs and how they have owned this franchise when it matters and why so much is at stake on Sunday.

Its because some of our posters around here like to talk them up as ready to dethrone us every season and we get a fun victory lap as an annual tradition 😂

If the Ravens come out slow and flat after 2 weeks off and Houston can jump out to an early lead it puts the pressure on Lamar to win as a passer. That would be a huge advantage for the Texans.

If the Texans want to pull the upset this is the game script that gets them there.

Still shocked they didn’t play starters for a half in that week 18 game….or a couple drives at least
