The MVP Race is 3 Players & Why they Can Win
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
Lamar has past history going against him. I think they reached a bit giving it to him last time and he did his classic no show in the playoffs so they likely wont give him another one because of that unless he’s pretty much flawless the rest of the way. Goff is definitely seen as a solid player in a stacked offense so he’s gotta go the extra mile to be the front runner too josh definitely has the inside shot at it imo. I’m not much of a fan of some of these unwritten rules that seem to factor in but it does seem to be working in Josh’s favor this year. To me somebody like burrow who is 4-7 but the team would likely be absolutely horrendous without him deserves to be in the conversation at least but he won’t be -
I don’t get the fear of the bengals personally I’d probably rather see them than the broncos. That bengals defense has regressed massively. there are a lot of tangible reasons they have 7 losses right now Broncos lost to the chiefs on a mostly freak play and that defense looks great but what Payton can get out of nix is a big unknown

AFC Rankings At This Moment November Edition

He’s gonna go the cowher route where people always start rumors he’s coming back but he’s getting paid plenty to be a tv personality and why possibly tarnish his legacy -

They couldn’t afford to spend a first round pick on a player like that imo especially when it downgraded one of their other early picks. We roughed them up in the trenches and they’ve been trying pretty hard to fix the offensive tackle problem and still have not gotten it right. Corner seems like a bit of a sore spot for them too there just isn’t a ton of depth anywhere and nazeeh johnson looks pretty bad. You shouldn’t be dropping off to a terrible corner because of a single injury. Mcduffie needs help teams can just avoid him now and still be successful. I don’t particularly understand the karlaftis hype either he looks pretty ok to me they could use an upgrade there cuz their other DEs aren’t good. Maybe uche works out for them we’ll see rice honestly may never be the same on top of all that…he’s likely gonna get slapped with a suspension right after he’s finally healthy and missing that much football usually doesn’t go super well I think worthy will be a fine player but it was a stupid pick and gifting your rival a 3rd rounder to make it was pretty idiotic. It was a luxury pick with an outside shot at maybe he develops into a complete player made in a situation where they couldn’t really afford to do that…lots of other holes It’s way too early to judge but the chiefs 2024 draft is leaning towards pretty terrible at this point. Suamataia going from starting to benched to not even active is brutal and their third round pick went to us. Wiley looked pretty terrible in preseason but you never know -

I’m excited for the all 22…seemed like the bills went with a lot more man than usual at first glance and for a mcd defense to do that to you he’s really gotta not have much respect for worthy/hopkins/etc at all that was the big thing for me and why this ‘but it wasn’t the playoffs’ type stuff makes my eyes roll. If cam lewis can man up Kelce and Torrence can hold up decent without help against Chris jones, I don’t really see an obvious pathway to get to this supposedly unstoppable playoff chiefs mode that they allegedly have lol -
This is your superbowl is so hilariously misused so often lol. That one is really reserved for a not very competitive team upsetting a division rival. It doesn’t apply to one of the top teams in superbowl odds right now 🤣 I think they’re coping pretty hard to the fact that their odds are no better than 50% against the bills at best playoffs or not.

Bills Exposed 2023 Eagles and Now, 2024 Chiefs

Brown and rice definitely but those guys aren’t coming back 100% game ready this year even if they do make it back which seems unlikely. I think the fallout from the passing game not being as good is gonna cut into Pachecos effectiveness too Watson feels kind of like a retroactive excuse on behalf of the kc media haha I really don’t think he’s night and day better than Chamarri conner.. that’s not really close to the bills being down Spencer brown/matt Milano/kincaid imo or playing with freakin aj klein at mlb in the playoff game 😂. Mcduffie probably has to move outside more to make up for sneed being gone which seems like it’s more of the issue and doesn’t have much to do with injury. I think cooper kind of forced mcduffie out of the slot in this one have to rewatch though -

Its lookin somewhat doubtful brown returns and if he does he won’t be at 100% game speed I wouldn’t think. Schefter reported he’s expected to miss the regular season and Reid’s only real update was ‘he’s on schedule or maybe a little ahead’. If he miraculously returns very soon I think he’d have an impact going into the playoffs but that’s not lookin like the case -

Rice is very very likely not coming back this year and will likely be serving a somewhat lengthy suspension once he’s healthy enough to play Reid said he’s expecting a recovery time similar to a torn acl -
The 3-0 in the playoffs is obviously true on paper but extrapolating that into evidence the chiefs have our number or something is a bit misguided imo and I think their fans are likely starting to realize that deep down 😂. Whoever won the OT coin toss was winning that 13 seconds game without a doubt, and the last meeting the injury situation between the two teams was completely lopsided. Heck the injury situation in this one was somewhat lopsided compared to who the bills will have available come playoff time and the chiefs still lost. They have a bunch of injuries too but guys like rice and Hollywood brown very likely aren’t returning

That run commitment pays dividends even if the runs get pretty quickly stopped consistently. The chiefs pass rush really never got in a rhythm, they had a pretty bad night considering we were down a RT. It opened up a lot of those quick outside screen type plays, made them pretty susceptible to play action(despite josh blowing the big play we still hit on a couple) I think brady was really confident in the third and medium plays he was drawing up too it was pretty shocking how open guys were on a bunch of those. if we came out throwing a lot more often I think the pass blocking probably would’ve started losing ground against that chiefs dline as the game went on.

Man idk…I think there’s a huge difference between last years chiefs Super Bowl team and the previous chiefs Super Bowl teams. Last year they were the healthiest team come playoff time and it was enough to skate by. The dolphins and bills defenses were absolutely ravaged by injuries the 2020 chiefs offense would’ve dropped 50+ on both without even having to work too hard. People are bending over backwards trying to convince everyone this chiefs offense is still extremely dangerous just wait for them to turn it on and it hasn’t really happened over a big time sample size now. Its a little bit harder for the defense to carry them this year with no sneed too they get a bit exposed on a lot of their infamous blitzes. Still a dangerous team for sure I wouldn’t say they’ve been ‘exposed’ but they are objectively not as talented as they’ve been in the past parity has really beaten them up a bit…I don’t think they’re sitting alone in their own tier anymore even come playoff time. -

Pretty crazy the chiefs biggest 3 games left are against the top 3 defenses in ppg allowed lol -
Man this is crazy pretty much everyone in the bills wr orbit has been hurt. Diggs and Davis left and were replaced by cooper eventually and Coleman/samuel and literally every player in that equation missed significant time or tried to play through an impactful injury 🤣
-
This is all reasonable…that’s why it’s so huge he made it back early and they’ll have some time together going into the playoffs

Oh yea he should’ve made it for sure but mahomes could’ve made his life easier. There’s no way Reid benched him over that is the context I was bringing that up in Where in that article does it say that play impacted worthy’s playing time at all? That was what I was objecting to in your post. He led the chiefs wrs in snaps. If anyone had unexpectedly low snaps it was Hopkins honestly. He should’ve made the play but mahomes could’ve made his life a bit easier so there’s no way he was benched over it -
We’ll never know obviously but I’m on the other side of that one haha that drive was like pulling teeth literally nothing was easy that throw wasn’t even that much lower percentage than the throw to diggs if Dawkins holds up an extra split second it was a pretty easy pitch and catch with no one around to make a big hit as the ball got there

I wonder if we’d roll with three linebackers against teams like the ravens when Milano returns. We seemed to try it a bit against them that first meeting but morrow was pretty much useless
