12/15/24 Week 15 Bills @ Lions Game Post Game Thread

Ty Johnson is so tough to evaluate…people said yesterday its all Josh elevating him but he really has played for straight up scrub franchises (at the time) before coming to Buffalo. So couldn’t that be other teams diminishing him to a degree too? Lol I feel like he deserves some accolades all on his own despite Josh throwing a couple absolute dimes his way last night. Clearly he’s doing something right to earn snaps in a backfield with cook and Davis -
Yep that’s how it looked to me so I’d believe it, then it looked like diggs started phoning it in when Brady took over so Brady probably made it clear we weren’t forcing it to diggs anymore I don’t think there’s any way we’d have him back or he’d be proud enough to admit he did something wrong. Pretty fitting end he dropped that wide open deep shot and unheralded MVS made a couple much more difficult plays for the chiefs

Last two games prove Allen deserved a dome

That Skyler Thompson game was a weather game? It was like low 30s and sunny in mid January lol I think I took my jacket off even. Issue in that game was Josh Allen turning the ball over, he was throwing it all over the field fine What piss poor patriots weather game even was there? They were a wildcard team for that crazy wind game (who we absolutely nuked in very cold weather in the playoffs). Last year we blew a game to them in perfect weather and didn’t have any trouble in the rematch outside of a pats kickoff return to start the game I don’t even think the pats wind game is relevant anymore, the run blocking has improved since then I do think cincy was better prepared for that light snow game but we must’ve learned our lessons in that one because the last few snow games I’ve seen our opponents are slipping all over the place but we seemed pretty much unaffected. That light snow in that Miami rematch won us the game a couple years back. They were in control and both of their lines immediately looked like they were on roller skates the second it started snowing -
If we end up the 2 the ravens being a wildcard team is really fortunate cuz they’ll go out to kc round 2 most likely. It’s mostly all a guess at this point cuz maybe the Steelers get upset round 1 and send Baltimore to us haha

I don’t think even in a dead sprint with a football in his hands Herbert is as fast as Allen but I could be wrong. Tough to tell without a side by side race lol Herbert ran a marginally faster 40 time but Josh’s form for running the 40 yard dash was hilariously bad…I don’t think he spent any time preparing for it when a lot of guys do -
Any injury updates? (update: everybody's getting better)

Press conference cliches never expire 😂 Groin…idk how bad it is though. Sounds like week to week -
Can we give JOE Brady his kudos?

I have trouble even faulting him for that because that was such an obvious Offside that got completely blown. Seems like that formation surprised the lions a bit and it would’ve given us an easy sneak the next play if the refs got it right without having to risk a 4th down sneak -

That’s a relief…Milano being out again would be tough but that softens the blow. Not that Milano has played well up to this point but I think he’s still gotta get more snaps in before the playoffs or he probably won’t be effective -

If their defense was better I’d def take the shot…Mike brown is pretty good for job security at least if nothing else 😂 -
I wish I was a betting man…that should be a nice haul lol

Idk the entire offensive philosophy completely changed overnight once Dorsey got canned and it’s an objective fact that it greatly improved I really think something was going on behind the scenes where Dorsey was forcing plays to diggs to keep him happy to the detriment of the team but that’s pure speculation of course it’s just a weird thing to see someone pick on because that was probably one of the best mid season coordinator changes I’ve ever seen -

Oh yea he’d probably take that one if given the chance but maybe Ben Johnson would be their first choice if they’re going offensive minded head coach and would have to pass on it first if I was an offensive guy that bengals defense would really scare me unless I had a DC hire I really liked or an OC I was handing off playcalling duties to so I could spend more time with the defense. -

I think coordinators are gonna start being a lot more selective about head coaching opportunities so I wouldn’t be surprised if he hangs around. going to a team with huge ownership or cap issues or anything like that makes your head coaching career very short lived -

Pretty tough for a qb to get a serious shoulder injury to his throwing shoulder and for there to be not a lot of noticeable signs. I doubt it’s anything consequential that wouldn’t completely resolve before playoff time. Probably good to be cautious though cuz he could sit with the playoffs clinched if it’s something that has a chance of getting worse -
Oh yea I’m saying even ignoring total losses the case still isn’t super strong

That holding call was ridiculous…felt like they wanted a more exciting ending if I had my tinfoil hat on 😂 the chiefs whined about ‘how can you deny greatness’ on a completely obvious penalty can’t even imagine how the bills feel after that one -

Elam looked like he played pretty well to me which is a good sign…felt like Spector and Lewis got picked on all game once Milano/williams/bishop went down. Those guys would not have even have been on the field in the role that they were in if the injury situation wasn’t as bad -
I think it’s pretty irrelevant in either direction ref wise…seems like they just let teams play in the playoffs or in marquee matchups in the regular season. Regular season when there’s a tossup judgement call and a great team playing a mediocre or bad one they definitely seem to lean the better teams way though. The pass protection point is a double edged sword as mahomes was in a much better situation on that front than Allen was for the bulk of these guys careers. both these guys are amazing and both of them are great in the playoffs…there’s no way to know what would happen if they swapped teams so it’s impossible to rank them imo

A Lamar stats only argument isn’t even super strong…Josh and Lamar are tied in total tds, Lamar has one more total turnover, they’re separated by about 100 passing yards and 250ish rushing yards. People making it sound like Lamar is miles ahead statistically are strictly lookin at passing stats. Lamar leads in total yards but not by some ungodly amount I can’t see Josh not getting it

Bills Pats Flexed to 4:30 Kickoff [Confirmed]
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Diggstheprocess's topic in The Stadium Wall
Were those all first half of the season? I don’t think the offense had quite found its footing yet early on. Ah dolphins was week 9 that was a weird game that really swung on that fluky INT that should’ve been a td -
He looked noticeably hobbled at least one of those times there were questions about whether he’d play and he ended up playing through it. He definitely does seem like someone who will play up an injury though can’t argue that 😂 if he does have a nagging injury though trotting him out behind those bad OTs seems like a bit of a risk

Oh yea I can’t argue that…it’s really tough to feel good about any playoff game. Even if your team has a sizable edge there’s still a 40% chance you lose -
Tough their game is before the Steelers game…if the Steelers beat the ravens before the chiefs played I don’t think I’d risk mahomes’ health because possibly sliding from the 1 to the 2 if you lose and then lose again and very very likely avoiding the ravens in round 2 really doesn’t seem so bad they can’t have that extra info though cuz their game is first
