Of course I’m aggressively biased 😂 but that game painted mahomes in a new light for me…like do we ever see him throw with any anticipation into tight windows? Watching him in the playoffs it’s just like…run around in circles until Kelce or hill are wide open and if they don’t come open try to run. Credit the bengals for taking all of that away in the second half…whoever they had spying mahomes did a great job

Football was different back then it’s not a great way to compare qbs of old.

Playing the 1 and 2 seed on the road doesn’t seem great to me haha but it’s tough to say. If all went down exactly the same and they were us they would’ve only seen 1 of kc/ten. I think the bengals deserve a lot of credit on the defensive side for making tannehill and mahomes look bad in back to back weeks. Not sure that we or anyone else would’ve gotten through ten…we’ll never know.

Right I think with it being the chiefs 13 seconds with 3 timeouts becomes a bit more difficult to defend. People talk about the play to Kelce but it was really the first down play that killed us. They had the ball on the 40 with 2 chances to get into fg range after that play with all their weapons and they could use the whole field. Still got outcoached badly though of course but i think if you put the chiefs in that situation they were in after that first play they’re gonna set up a reasonable fg attempt a majority of the time

Chiefs have three generational talents on offense…I think 1 Super Bowl win for them in the past 4 years is a disappointment to that fanbase. I don’t think tyreek hill and Travis Kelce are guys you can just replace when they start to slow down also their cap situation gets trickier moving forward. This was their year to win it

I mean they could’ve had our spot and theoretically only seen one of the titans/chiefs lol I don’t think they sat guys to lose that game on purpose at all. They were just really banged up going into it and mixon was on the Covid list. Also full credit to the bengals for beating the chiefs…I don’t think it had anything to do with us the way that game played out. They won it with halftime adjustments after the chiefs did whatever they wanted in the first half

Yea that’s all true…seems like the NFC North could be wide open though if he’s concerned strictly with winning.

Wow that’s even more embarrassing if he knew and threw that pass anyway I think lol just awful decisions by him the whole second down…diving out of bounds and saving the bengals timeouts like what was he doing. Not just errant passes but big time mental mistakes

Chiefs had a similarly messy game against us in the regular season compared to what they did against the bengals today. If they turned the ball over twice against us last week we would’ve blown them out. Mahomes lost track of how many timeouts they had…he tried to call timeout right after the play was over and they had 0 I don’t even think it’s the yips I think he’s really uncomfortable against those 8 men in coverage looks. We likely didn’t have the dbs to pull that off missing tre though but I bet that’s how teams go after him next year. His game really is running around in circles til hill or Kelce get open lol

Joe burrow is objectively not as talented as mahomes or Allen…just doesn’t have the dual threat to the same degree as those other guys. I think mahomes vs allen will be the hyped rivalry for years to come

Ehh those were all unlucky picks…two of them were the right read/throws. One probably should’ve been thrown away. One Beasley was egregiously held. Mahomes sits behind a good offensive line with two of the best skill position players of all time and still looked completely lost today

It’s a team sport…he has two of the all time best skill position players and a great offensive line and couldn’t get it done. I can’t even imagine what josh does with that team.

He was hurried all game against us..we were inches from a sack on just about every play…bengals must’ve done something clever taking away his rushing lanes because he was dancing around for 10-12 seconds today and couldn’t do anything with it. Something they were doing had him absolutely baffled.

He’s gonna see a bunch of 8 man coverage next season with a qb spy id guess 😀 dude looked trent edwards-level lost that second half.

He was under a ton of pressure against us…we moved him off the spot just about every play. Didn’t spy him well though…I think it’s more of a linebacker issue. Bengals got beat by qb scrambles during the first half too. Mahomes made tons of completely self inflicted errors against the bengals too…one of those against us and we win

It was the 8 man coverage imo like the previous poster mentioned…they spied mahomes too and kept him scrambling straight backwards. Mahomes had absolutely all day to throw most plays but he seemed rattled by that unexpected look

Our defensive line was much much better than what we did against mahomes last year and their offensive line was significantly better this year also. It hurts because we lost but I wouldn’t say the defensive line rotation wasn’t working…bengals held up better in coverage while mahomes was doing his running around in circles waiting for hill or Kelce to get open routine lol we needed tre white

No idea why he wouldn’t go for Minnesota with rodgers on his way out

I believe we tried to get dj reader when he left Houston and he chose cincy instead 🙃

That last drive in the red zone was about as bad as they could’ve done…he’s lucky he didn’t lose a fumble there it would’ve been even worse no idea why he’s diving out of bounds for extra yards in that situation…even the positive plays didn’t make any sense.

And mahomes tried to call a timeout 😂

Mahomes seems so reliant on just hill and Kelce…josh is better at spreading the ball around. I don’t think they would’ve given us much trouble when we were on offense but our defense who knows lol

Still pretty unfair it just worked out for them…winner of the coin toss is still 10-2 in the playoffs after that
