Their offense will be improved but man the dolphins and pats basically standing pat on defense is an absolute head scratcher. tuas worse than a scrub for that franchise imo…I don’t mean talent wise but he’s that in betweener where you just don’t know if you should move on from him or not.

I wouldn’t take it as gospel obviously but their low rating even post tyreek trade is a result of them having tons of holes and a lot less picks to fill them with. I don’t think ramping up to win a shootout with josh Allen is the best franchise strategy. Tua will definitely improve but he will need to be otherworldly.

They’d still have 3 gigantic holes on the offensive line…even with Brady they’d struggle…no way he’d leave Tampa for that

Lol there’s a reason why we have the best odds to win the Super Bowl and Vegas has picked the dolphins to finish 17th. Tyreek does not play linebacker…they will not win a shootout vs josh Allen no matter who they have at receiver. They needed a full defensive overhaul and to shore up all 5 positions on the offensive line and out of those two things they upgraded 40% of the OL and got tyreek hill.

Yea that’s also a good point…for years the pressure has been on the back end because we couldn’t get to the qb but that started to change a little last season and we added von on top of that. If we’re just drafting a cb that’s not a game changer in the first round it may not be the best move. The dolphins should be easy to pressure…they didn’t help out the right side of their offensive line at all as of yet.

Miami has been the boogeyman on this board for years despite josh Allen having one loss in his career against them which only happened because an ex dolphin couldn’t catch 😂 corner is still the biggest need but it has nothing to do with Miami specifically

Josh was great with what he had to work with. Fans use the ‘josh Allen theorem’ to explain why they should keep their mediocre young qbs around way too long but it is almost always falsely applied because it doesn’t account for how absolutely trash that bills roster was. Our ‘receivers’ were first in the league in drops and last in the league in separation. The dude still made Robert foster look like an all pro

They might have the worst linebackers in the league…and they are still terrible at C/RG/RT on the offensive side. They’ve got Byron jones at cb still who hasn’t been good for a few years now and Xavien Howard coming off a very down season. And now they don’t have any picks this year until the third round. Trade makes no sense to me they have tons of holes. People are talkin like all they need is a qb and they can easily pick one up next year but that’s far from the case imo.

Played for the titans…he’s clearly lost at least a step. Tyreek will meet a similar fate soon. Might have been a year or two early but I think this is a great move for the chiefs and a head scratcher for the dolphins. If they were just a wr away it would’ve been brilliant but I think they’re much further away from making a run in the afc especially after all those trades/offseason moves in the conference. Maybe they just barely squeak into the top 10 AFC teams with tyreek.

They have a lot more holes than they can fill with one draft…kind of an odd situation. I’d say I wouldn’t have done it but time will tell. Tyreeks gonna hit a wall at some point soon or I would think kc finds a way to keep him. If tua was better this trade is a no brainer for them

How did the chiefs pass up the number 10 overall pick from the jets…kind of crazy part of this people aren’t talking about much. Still comes down to if they can shore up the right side of their oline the rest of FA/in the draft or it’ll all be underneath stuff again got them.

Chiefs know tyreek is gonna slow down at some point I’m sure and they wanted to make sure they got a nice return for him. They’ll always be dangerous with mahomes so I could see why they did it. I find the dolphins part of it interesting but it could end up being a great trade for the dolphins for sure…we’ll have to wait and see 😁

Von miller doesn’t have to depend on someone else to throw him the ball though and I don’t think pass rushers really see a massive nosedive in production like a burner receiver would as they get older. It could certainly work out for them…they could put a good year together this season and hit a home run on a qb draft pick to really put them over the top next season

I don’t understand how that is at all the same…we had 0 offensive weapons and tons of cap space. The dolphins have a burner already in waddle. Also there were tons of flashes of josh being special his rookie season that tua just didn’t have. Also diggs was a couple years younger lol lots of alsos 😂. We’ll see how it plays out and I will be the first to admit it if I’m wrong but it’s hardly a homerish take.

Lol how is that homerism? It’s just logic. How are you gonna trade for a 28 year old burner receiver with this many holes in the trenches. I mean maybe they hit on every draft pick despite not picking until round 3 this season and even if so they didn’t do much on the defensive side to slow josh down. Could they split with us in the regular season yea sure. But they took a big chunk out of the chiefs to be kind of competitive now so this trade is a win for us the illogical fear of Miami on this board is always my favorite…we are a Charles clay butterfingers moment away from josh Allen never losing to them in his career.

They could go back in time and bring in a vintage Jerry rice and I still think their offense is gonna be severely limited by their passing protection. Right but now they don’t pick til mid round 3…right side and center. Like if it was one bad linemen you can certainly gameplan around that . But it’s three big holes

They still have massive holes along the offensive line…even if tua massively improves they just won’t be able to fill these holes til the shiny new receiver they just traded for is declining.

Who’s on the right side/center of their offensive line? They have huge flaws there still. Couple weak links on the offensive line is a disaster regardless of how good the other guys are.

Tua throws deep balls with nice touch but I just don’t see him getting the time to do so…the right side of their offensive line still looks pretty terrible

We lit up that defense many many times lol and offensive line was their biggest question mark…they didn’t do a whole lot to address that. Tyreek hill is gonna take targets away from other guys that are good also it’s not exactly additive… I would’ve given tua this year then used the firsts they traded away on a qb.

That’s the way I see it too…Miami just shot themselves in the foot trading first round picks away when they could’ve hit a homer with one of those and been great all to be maybe the second best team in their division. They reportedly still have this years first but they can’t use that on a qb after a trade like that…they’re kind of committed all in while tyreek is in his prime

That’s the thing though they traded away all the picks they’d use for a game changing qb to be maybe the 6th or 7th best team in their conference? So strange to me. And by the time they get the qb ironed out tyreek will be in the decline I wish we didn’t knock him out of that second matchup I’m pretty sure we would’ve sacked him 16 times that game. And that was pre von miller
