  1. Steelers had tj watt for last years debacle…huge difference
  2. Yea that doesn’t really make it clear who’s home in those intra-conference games but the rest is pretty well explained. Based on past schedules it looks like each division gets the home game twice in a row then it switches
  3. That’s a pretty stupid system lol but it looks like the answer. I would’ve alternated the division placement games too. So now we will be away for the chiefs game one more time next year and then we will be home 3 times in a row Mann every edmunds is injured for the edmunds bowl?
  4. It seems like the ‘same position in the division’ games double up which I didn’t realize. I knew the ‘you play this division every 4 years’ games rotated each time. we played kc two years in a row due to ‘finished in the same position in the division’ and were on the road both times and next year we will be on the road for ‘playing the entire afc west’ game if my calculations are correct we should get a bunch of home games in a row after 2023 assuming we finish in the same position in the division as them
  5. People are gonna freak when they see we’re on the road against kc next year too lol. The ‘you placed the same in your division’ game seems to double up on who the home team is and the ‘you play the whole AFC West every 4 years games’ seem to swap back and forth each meeting and it lined up not in our favor the last few years.
  6. I’d love to know what the formula is…for those one off matchups against the two divisions in your conference you’re not playing all of, you get one at home and one on the road. how do they determine which is home though? We ended up getting ten at home and kc on the road but I’m not sure what specific rule prevented it from being kc at home and ten on the road
  7. Russ has been missing tons of opportunities all year so I’m not sure how much it had to do with short rest. It’s hard to blame Ryan because he’s not a very mobile guy and his offensive line was dreadful last night
  8. Lawson has been great against Lamar for us…probably got him some extra snaps that would’ve gone to aj
  9. I wouldn’t risk another corner injury derailing the season…especially now that we’re missing hyde
  10. He’s carrying the ball with two hands like he’s supposed to which prevented the fumble like it’s supposed to. Not sure what the issue is here
  11. I don’t think tuas great but they’ve been scheming guys wide open so it hasn’t mattered much. They’ve been pretty bad at turning yards into points though even with tua (outside of that one quarter against baltimore)
  12. There’s not a lot tua can do that bridgewater can’t do…I don’t think they’re gonna fall off much. They’re probably closer to a 2-2 team than a 3-1 team right now though…it’s pretty tough to get that lucky two games in a row like they did in the ravens and bills games they’ve got an easy schedule until a brutal 4 week stretch where they play SF,LAC,BUF on the road then GB at home so I don’t think they’re going away for awhile. They’re probably going 1-3 at best in that stretch of games once they hit that part of the schedule though and the wheels will start to come off then
  13. Id honestly look into it…they need warm bodies at this point
  14. Are you claiming the Indy playoff game wasn’t that close? Lol the colts had a late drive to outright win the game. I still don’t really understand why we’re holding it against our team for winning by more points. Those razor thin winning margins you’re talking about after negating the ‘back door covers’ have just as much to do with luck as skill…which is why you usually see that metric even out over time. example: we dominated Miami and lost and baltimore played us very tough and we won.
  15. I was just gonna say…shouldn’t McDermott deserve credit for delegating these decisions
  16. Idk how y’all can blame a running back when we have had the worst run blocking in the league by a mile this season. The kc offensive line is so far ahead of how our offensive line has been playing so far…cook or moss would be running wild for the chiefs right now
  17. The more I see that first play the less it looked like a penalty…throw was bad and poyer is entitled to the ball too
  18. We are the worst ranked offensive line in run blocking by a mile in the chart that this thread is about lol no one is even remotely close to as bad. could be partly a product of who we played though. LA and TEN have tough front 7s then we played Miami missing 5 offensive linemen by halftime
  19. Your point relies on the giants beating the ravens with a third string qb lol otherwise, you’re gonna prove the other sides point that injuries can lead to your team losing a game. That’s a bold move and best of luck to you! on top of that, I’d argue missing like 11 starters like we were against the dolphins is much tougher to overcome than downgrading from Daniel jones to Davis Webb
  20. I popped on the dolphins Reddit and my goodness are they delusional about the whole tua thing. Apparently they are the victim of the NFLPA trying to make an example of someone…according to them
  21. You could say the same thing about the chiefs so by your definition I don’t think there is a Super Bowl caliber team…it’s pretty rare that a team absolutely blows the doors off somebody for 4 straight quarters. It’s a game of adjustments. the chiefs destroyed two teams and didn’t look very good in their other win. Chargers were dominating against them and Herbert just made that huge mistake on the pick 6 in the end zone. I don’t even think the chiefs game will tell us much it’s still very early in the season. We spanked the chiefs in a similar situation last year then hit a rough patch
  22. Every teams is…the ravens went too far with it though is what that sentence was saying. I’m sure josh/ the bills were lobbying for calls all game so I’m not at all surprised a questionable call went our way. He was getting hit late/in the head pretty often in that game
  23. Probably equal parts his previous failed head coaching gig. Most guys don’t get multiple chances anymore. Teams seem more likely to look for a young guy these days than give a retread another shot.
  24. I’m not sure they did but they got the last one which is all anybody remembers. And that last call was more of a culmination of the ravens clearly making it their gameplan to hit josh as often as they could a lot of which were late and uncalled throughout the game. the refs were certainly not good but they were bad for both teams
  25. The coaches have plenty of time to discuss strategic adjustments in the playcalling…there’s not a whole lot of time to address the players though
