  1. Toney did virtually nothing against Tennessee and the vast majority of that came against jax so I’d take those results with a grain of salt lol hines made a couple huge plays in the return game that will fly way under the radar for most. I’d give him some time
  2. I feel like there was a game losing play like that a couple years back with Davis too against the ravens…very similar route where he didn’t run at the appropriate angle and just kind of drifted
  3. Geez I didn’t even see Morris haha I’ve gotta watch again. I was focused on Davis. Davis had a step that whole play and the throw was godawful. If you freeze it just as the ball is released and showed it to 100 people that missed the game I don’t think one of them would guess interception knowing he’s going to Davis lol probably one of the worst throws of his career…he missed his window by about 12 yards the absolute worst result that should’ve been possible on that play was an incompletion out the back of the end zone but we are clearly masters of the impossible
  4. I don’t think it’s all on Dorsey…the execution has just been horrible at times. The singletary fumble was maddening…and that final int maddening as well. We were quick to blame Dorsey for not providing more underneath routes but I have watched that play 50 times now talking about the game with some friends and it honestly worked to perfection. josh could’ve either waited and hit singletary sneaking out after the block for a 5 yard gain…or thrown a not terrible ball to Davis and most likely had a td but it should’ve been at worst an incompletion. The stacked crossing routes worked as intended as the middle safety followed the inside crosser leaving Davis in single coverage with Peterson with a step. Josh threw such a bad ball that it looked like Peterson jumped the route but it was a very routine play against man coverage for josh. The back middle of the end zone was open and he missed it by a mile. If we don’t have confidence in him to make that throw then he shouldn’t be starting honestly. heck even the sneak wasn’t a bad call…what are the odds your 6’5” wrecking ball qb is gonna lose more than a half yard on a sneak with the new rules where he can get pushed from behind. Slim to none
  5. I think this could end up being a glass half full situation but the last few weeks have certainly been painful because your big money qb is getting payed to get you those types of wins. not at all surprised by the frustration but I still think we will be dangerous come playoff time at home and on the road. If we end up being the 6 seed I think the 3 seed may secretly hope they are the 4 seed lol
  6. how can I be feeding another problem when the problem I’m describing is worse 🤣 straight up not seeing underneath defenders is alarming. That’s been the overwhelming trend the last few games leading to most of the actual ints and quite a few dropped ints. I think that’s a much more difficult fix I know it’s the last play and people can think whatever they want obviously, but I’ve watched that play many many times and Davis has a step throughout that entire route which is where josh decided to go with the ball just before singletary sneaks out on the delayed route after the block. Allen threw it wayyy behind Davis but there was a great deal of room in the back of the end zone to put that ball where only his receiver could get it. It was nowhere near as risky as it looked from the broadcast angle…was pretty much a routine throw against man coverage in the nfl you can even see Harrison smith I think it was know he got pulled out of position by the other crossing receiver and try to peel off late with a desperation dive. I was pissed when I saw it live too as it looked like he just decided to throw the ball into 4 defenders but it really was not like that at all. This was ironically the least bad of his interceptions the last 2 and a half games but of course it happened in the biggest moment so I don’t blame people for being frustrated. I’ll try to upload some photos from the play but I am technologically challenged and the file is too large 🤣
  7. I don’t think that was a designed sneak but I’ll check it out again cuz a couple people have said that…looked like a different play where josh had the option of calling his own number
  8. Yep…a rollout you’ve got the same snap risk and you’re risking ints too imo. Unfortunately we had two 100 to 1 miracle plays go against us this game Of course it never should’ve come to that though
  9. Now that the pain has subsided a little I’ve come around to the sneak…I don’t think we had ever been stopped on a traditional qb sneak up to that point in the josh Allen era and now you add in the fact that he can get pushed from behind. the rollout SHOULDVE been riskier but of course we all have the power of hindsight now lol
  10. I mean the fumbled snap/final int is enough to rag on him for this game. He wasn’t the only problem but you expect your big money guy to rescue you in situations like that and he hasn’t done it the last few weeks im having trouble blaming him for the 4th down int but there is plenty to blame him for without that anyway
  11. I guess we technically control our own destiny against Miami but that could potentially depend on being perfect in conference games going forward…lac has been disappointing so I’m not sure they’re gonna lose that one. We both lost to NYJ and Minnesota which could force us wayy down the tiebreakers list if we split with them and finish with the same division and conference record lol
  12. I think the last few weeks is more he has not been seeing some underneath defenders for whatever reason. It doesn’t look like he is knowingly passing up short throws to take risks pushing the ball down the field to me…which might be worse idk lol Maybe the final int in the game yesterday could qualify as that but there really wasn’t a short route on that play for whatever reason singletary snuck out late on a delayed route after a block but it looked like by that point davis had a step on Peterson. a better throw and that’s an incompletion at worst
  13. This is true…it’s easy to extrapolate the team trending downward after a tough loss but on paper the 1 seed honestly isn’t as far off as people think since we have the head to head vs kc.
  14. Oh this season for sure…I was just responding in general terms. it would take a lot for him to win it this year. It’s lookin like it’s gonna go to tua or tyreek hill if people want to hold tua missing three games against him. Obviously a lot can change but if that dolphins offense gets figured out it would take a lot for josh to catch mahomes at this point if qbs didn’t almost always win it it would go to tyreek hill for sure at this point imo
  15. Rousseau who is quietly playing out of his mind poyer i wouldn’t count edmunds as all pro caliber but he is significantly better than his replacement so same kind of deal…when edmunds went down it was like a switch flipped tre white Hyde who isn’t returning but when another safety gets hurt in the same game and poyer is already missing it becomes relevant Previous week against the jets it was a little more valid as we were missing a lot of those guys and Milano instead of edmunds. a bit of hyperbole on my part obviously but when people say ‘every team has injuries’ it’s usually a team missing 1 or 2 high impact players then some players where there isn’t a big dropoff in the depth chart like us missing Elam. We have just been snake bitten this year and all the wrong guys are getting banged up on the defensive side
  16. I think every qb including the eventual mvp winner has games like this at least once or twice a season. Even rodgers who threw 4 total ints all season last year was pretty horrible in 2 games
  17. I don’t remember that being a designed sneak…looked like your standard qb scramble with josh calling his own number after taking the snap. I could be wrong though I don’t have the heart to watch these epic losses over again lol
  18. Haven’t we never been stopped on a qb sneak in Josh’s career up to that point?
  19. I really feel like I’m takin crazy pills here lol like I get being disappointed after a loss and wanting to flame everybody but missing 5 or 6 all pro caliber defensive players in the same game is not ‘normal’ by any means. Yet people keep saying ‘every team has injuries’. yea sure the offense could’ve bailed them out twice in a row and they failed spectacularly but this defense is about to get a ton of help. The defense essentially won the game on an epic goal line stand with a bunch of backups and practice squad level guys. If we end up missing out on the division no one will want to play us as the 6 or 7 seed imo.
  20. I can’t blame anyone for being negative after yesterday but that really felt a lot like the loss to Arizona a couple years ago to me at least. It was pretty much an act of god that beat us…Jefferson is amazing but he’d make that 4th down catch probably once or twice out of 100 tries. assuming we start getting some defensive players back I think we’ll have plenty of talent to ride it out if josh continues to struggle
  21. I don’t agree that the season would be over especially with the chargers loss last night but it certainly would push us towards seeming like a one and done team in the playoffs as a 6 or 7 seed at that point i didn’t update every game from this week but the nyt playoff machine still has us at over 80% to make the playoffs with the loss this week and assuming a loss next week. Nobody seems to want to hold on to the 6 or 7 seed…those highly touted afc west teams have completely imploded. What everyone thought would happen to the chiefs with a lot of stiff competition in their division actually happened to us instead 😂 people can keep parroting the ‘injuries are no excuse’ mantra but the defense is absolutely ravaged by injuries and it will improve dramatically come playoff time. Missing 5 or so all pro level players is outrageous. When people say ‘every team has injuries’ it’s usually one or two great players and a handful of average guys that aren’t much better than their backups
  22. I have trouble blaming Dorsey for that…josh is throwing some truly horrendous interceptions that transcend playcalling lol. A couple more throwaways and we’re 8-1 with a defense ravaged by injuries
  23. You didn’t really understand the context of the take then…Daboll was here last year and the same thing happened midseason so it’s not like this situation is unique to Dorsey. this thread is about how Daboll leaving has caused the team to collapse and I’m not ready to agree with that yet
  24. The goal line fumble I don’t believe ever got to his hands…looked like a bad snap the int on 4th down wasn’t really that bad…it’s a turnover on downs regardless and he was trying to make a play. The final int was absolutely backbreaking though obviously
  25. Yea the giants haven’t been very good…hes doing a good job with the team no doubt but they’re gonna come back down to earth record wise
