Haha yea I don’t think he even believes that…we just saw the broncos murder the chiefs not too long ago and the jets beat the eagles Those same people said cincy was an unstoppable machine that was gonna get hot like they do every year and roll to the afc championship and they were completely wrong lol we had a bad game against cincy but they were extremely beatable

I’d buy into this more if they didn’t lose to the jets also and get taken to OT by the commanders. They haven’t really looked dominant at any point this year to me

I didn’t mean all he can do is run block if it came off that way…he just has a longer leash because of it. He’s capable of good plays but a bit of a one trick pony as far as the route tree goes. I don’t think he’s bad by any means I just don’t think his production is difficult to replace. He has this weird thing where he will make all the high difficulty plays and drop a ton of the easy ones lol it is bizarre he pretty often gets taken out of the equation in single coverage too

That’s kind of missing the point imo…even when our team is great that jets defense has had our number and we absolutely dominated them. That’s the best performance we’ve had against the jets defense in years. I wouldn’t take too much out of what our defense was able to accomplish for the reasons you said though

I’d give him another year after this one…it wouldn’t be pretty but we’d likely be winning exactly like the chiefs are right now and have a similar record if our top 4 defensive players weren’t out/playing hurt. defense has been winning all around the league this year…the game seems to be changing a lot very quickly it’s pretty crazy. if things remain this way and we miss the playoffs by a game or so it will likely be a pretty huge statistical anomaly. The team with the best point differential that missed the playoffs was the ‘89 49ers at +100 and we are likely gonna be significantly higher than that

He’s only survived this long because he’s a pretty good run blocker I think.
