Dr. Jekyl, Mr. Hyde review of the Sean McDermot
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s right you haven’t…because I don’t think anyone has ever played 3 away games in an 11 day span in nfl history -
I think the big problem we have had is Bernard/Dodson are just not nfl caliber players yet and one of Milano/edmunds has been injured pretty much every week of the season. That’s just way too big of a weak link to overcome on the defensive side when there’s 3 or 4 other high impact defensive starters injured also. Idk much about the lions injury situation but I doubt they’ve been missing their two starting guards all year crazy that Klein stepped in virtually off the street and took all the snaps from Bernard and Dodson.

Dorsey Play Design Issues
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Donuts and Doritos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hopefully they make some adjustments…I really think they expected gabe Davis to be winning a lot more 1 on 1 matchups but he’s been struggling finishing the catches. this is pretty much wild speculation on my part without watching all22s in awhile but it seems like teams know josh is playing hurt and that we are trying to minimize the qb running game which is making everything more difficult. It hasn’t seemed like a designed part of the offense in a very long time and when it happens it’s very late in the game with the game on the line. -
Gabe Davis - Getting a Bum Rap From Some Fans

It’s frustrating because he has all the physical tools he’s just not making the plays -
13 seconds- A new drinking game

I really thought essentially 13 seconds-ing the lions would restore order to the universe…I guess we’ll see -
New England got whooped a few times by dual threat qbs so here’s to hoping that continues. Chicago and Baltimore really roughed them up

They’re doing a bad job determining the quality of players lost then imo…we decided extremely quickly that aj klein who was recently released by the bears was a better replacement for edmunds than Bernard/Dodson. I can’t think of another team that had a situation like that. I also doubt it factors in players lost midgame and players playing hurt (ex josh Allen,Jordan poyer) seems to me that they only factor in what they perceive as the quality of the player lost and not how big the falloff is to the replacement player that is forced into a starting role. That is an extremely flawed methodology imo hamlin, Dane Jackson, cam Lewis, Bernard/Dodson have all been somewhere in between pretty bad and horrible and they all play defense

So how good has Allen been?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
A lot of talk that mahomes was awful in his first camp so I’m not sure that’s true. Tyreek hill thought mahomes was ‘trash’ as a rookie -

Very much agree…there’s tons of other stats that mahomes benefitted from by sitting out a year and learning the offense too -
Getting sick of "Last year was our year."

We were pretty mediocre 14 weeks into the season last year…I think we are far ahead of that this season when you factor in the wild amount of injuries -

I think he’ll finish with about 15 or 16 ints…it’ll certainly be a factor in why he doesn’t win mvp but theoretically there’d be a path for someone with that many ints to win it especially if they’re rushing for around 1000 yards. Josh might get some bonus points for having such a huge percentage of his teams total yardage and tds but it won’t nearly be enough it’s a silly award anyway imo…no idea why tyreek or Justin Jefferson aren’t getting more of a shot at it -

Mahomes has one of the best offensive lines in football and we have very much not that…Allen never really had a chance based on the supporting cast this season and his elbow injury. I don’t think there’s much of a chance that Allen gets back in the conversation but I do think it’s closer than it looks if that’s not contradictory at all 😂. Mahomes and Allen are pretty close in total tds and total yards -

I think they are game planning around his injury and he’s being limited some if I had to guess. The qb carries are mostly only popping up down the stretch in close games -

We actually don’t even know that hyde is out for the playoffs. Offensive line was the mess today and it sounds like no one is seriously injured. Morse wasn’t ready to go on the short week, Dawkins got hurt midgame and was questionable to return which forced quessenberry in who was playing hurt. tough to take advantage of the favorable passing matchups when your offensive line can’t block anybody. id expect to get edmunds and maybe Rousseau back also on this mini bye week as well as morse and probably Dawkins although I didn’t hear what his injury ended up being. initial reports seem to be that von millers knee injury isn’t as serious as it looked. Sounds like it’s gonna be a 3 or 4 game-er -

He’ll be back for the playoffs id guess…Rousseau and edmunds will be back any week now though it seems…and I’m assuming tre white’s role will expand. -

I think you made my point even stronger honestly but agree to disagree I guess 😄. Bills are missing a ton of high impact starters that mostly have week to week injuries and will be returning. they are finding ways to win with holes all over the roster and faced with a lot of adversity. Playing 2 road games in 5 days with little to no practice is insane. if a lot of these players were out for the year I’d see your point a little more but that is not the case. Plugging edmunds back in is going to change a lot on the defensive side -
If you somehow took ‘edmunds is a suspect player’ away from the last few games I have a bridge to sell you 😂. Rousseau has been fantastic this year and we lost von midgame. you also just straight up avoided the injuries to the offensive line and still needed a paragraph or two to try to invalidate some of the injuries haha not to mention our other safety has been playing hurt also as well as our qb. There’s just no way to prepare your roster for this amount of injuries and despite all of that we are sitting at 8 wins with a mini bye week comin

We were down to second and 3rd string olinemen also and were missing our two best pass rushers after von went down and had aj Klein starting due to edmunds being injured and had our best two corners on snap counts due to injuries and our qb playing with a sprained elbow and one of our great safeties is out for the year lol. I think we won the injury competition as well as the game 😂 -
The ‘injuries are no excuse’ people are getting pretty tiring imo. Cleveland and Detroit are two of the best offenses in the league regardless of what their overall record as a team is and they both just picked on our 2nd/3rd string weak link type players all game…same with minny in the second half every team might have some injuries but they do not have our level of injuries…outside of what baltimore has dealt with the last few years im sure there’s teams with more total injuries but ours are always critical players and always in the same few position groups pushing us way down the depth chart
