  1. Doesn’t look like it’s gonna be that windy…also I think people are picturing the colts snow game and it sounds like it’s not gonna be close to that. I remember Brady dropping 5 passing tds on the titans before halftime in a snow game in a game they’d go on to win 59-0 lol Brady could’ve easily broken the single game passing td record that game if they let him
  2. What did the bills gain strategically by the game being moved indoors? We ran the browns out of the building and Chubb averaged a whopping 1.4 yards per carry. I very much doubt they wanted the game to move at all…that three ‘away’ games in 12 days was a logistical mess
  3. I’m genuinely confused by this take…we’re one of the best teams in the league at rushing defense and stuffing short yardage runs, we have a qb with a lot of arm strength that throws a tight spiral and can run like a fullback, we get to practice in the cold/wind and generally know the wind directions this time of year in our own stadium for the kicking/passing games. our offensive line hasn’t been good but if Armstead is out miamis offensive line is even worse. miamis entire offense revolves around the threat of hill/waddle beating the defense deep to open up timing routes in the middle of the field. Tua regularly underthrows tyreek on deep balls even in ideal circumstances and doesn’t have a lot of arm strength to throw out routes. Receivers are going to be struggling with their footing so a lot of the offense for both teams will come down to improvisation. They don’t really run the ball particularly well either so they’re a bit of a one trick pony . I just don’t see a single aspect of this game weather that favors the dolphins. of course you can make the argument that heavy precipitation makes things a bit less predictable and if you’re the better team anyway maybe that’s not necessarily what you’d want but that’s a bit different of a convo. I think people are reading way to into the jets game…if your offensive line has to hold like crazy to slow a 4 man rush down, methodically moving down the field with underneath throws is really really difficult. You’ve got to hit a few chunk plays in a situation like that. The Miami defense is a completely different situation…they send the house to generate pressure so the entire gameplan will be different and there will likely be more looks underneath
  4. People seem to have trouble realizing this lol I don’t believe it even snowed at game time in buffalo for the browns bills game…a dome wouldn’t have changed anything A football game was just a silly use of emergency resources given the situation
  5. Haha yea isnt he the Herbert homer that writes for the ringer. He put Herbert above josh pre season this year so he’s full of it. Josh has outperformed Herbert this year with a similarly messy offensive line and an injured elbow. Idk how you can compare performances between josh outside in bad weather against the jets defense and Herbert against the dolphins in LA.
  6. Seriously…do they think everyone just teleports to the stadium? Lol they still would’ve moved the game last time even if we had a dome
  7. I disagree…it’s all timing routes with tua throwing to a predetermined read/spot on the field. A receiver slipping just a bit would completely derail the play. The bills are exponentially better at improvising. Also even short throws are heavily influenced by wind for a qb without a big arm/tight spiral tua also can’t really throw out routes in ideal circumstances let alone on a cold night when gripping the ball is tough so they’re pretty limited in what spots of the field they attack which defenses have caught on to.
  8. Lol did he have that shirt custom printed for this situation? That is cringey. Can’t wait to see how the league remembers this guy…seems like the offense is in danger of getting figured out and the defense took a huge step backwards since flores left
  9. Oh I know that’s what I’m saying haha I see it more as embarrassing for them that they can have a sizable advantage like that and still lose. Just because they lose some games doesn’t disprove the fact that the sideline situation can have a big effect on the game imo.
  10. It’s funny when they have that advantage and still lose but that doesn’t make it not an advantage 😂
  11. People’s judgement is still clouded by the wind game it seems when considering inclement weather games. We’re top 10 in rushing offense and top 5 in rushing defense, we’ve got a very physical wr1 and a qb with a huge arm that can run like a fullback. There aren’t too many teams that are better off in bad weather. we heard all week leading up to the Cleveland game that nick Chubb was gonna run all over us in the snow and he couldn’t even run all over us in a dome where the threat to throw was there lol 14 carries for 19 yards
  12. didn’t have a chance to see him? 😂. White was under heavy pressure and rolling right long before Moore beats tre
  13. Complete teams have been winning the superbowl for years now so I’m not sure what you mean. Heck the year the chiefs won it they were just outside the top 10 in points against and they couldn’t get it done any other year. points against rankings of recent Super Bowl winners: ravens defense in 2013 - 12th Seahawks defense 2014 - 1st pats defense in 2015 - 10th broncos defense in 2016 - 4th pats defense in 2017 - 5th eagles defense in 2018 - 12th pats defense in 2019 - 8th chiefs defense in 2020 - 11th bucs defense in 2021 - 8th Rams defense in 2022 - 15th There hasn’t been a superbowl winner in the bottom half of the league in points against since the New York giants in the 2012/2013 season and even their defense was great in the playoffs. im not trying to say you need to go all defense lol but you need a good mix of offensive and defensive talent
  14. It’s frustrating because they are ‘winning’ their routes they just can’t complete the catch…which is why winning is in quotes 😂
  15. it’s becoming pretty illogical to assume the chiefs will just roll through the playoffs when they haven’t beaten the joe burrow bengals once…I just don’t know what else the bengals have to do at this point 😂 how you’re feeling about the chiefs is probably exactly how the chiefs fans are feeling about the bengals lol There’s quite a few afc teams that can go toe to toe with the chiefs now…it’s lookin like even the 7 seed won’t be a layup for anyone. the Brady pats were buoyed by a similarly talented offensive line and a much better defense so I don’t think that really compares. The offense did not have to be loaded with playmakers/at their best for 60 minutes every week. If the chiefs had a top 10 defense it would be a much different story but they do not have that at the moment
  16. They very much do not look like they are ‘just going through the motions’ this season to me but to each their own. they don’t have nearly the margin of error as chiefs teams in years past. The bills and bengals played far from perfect games and beat them. It has nothing to do with being afraid of mahomes and having an inferiority complex lol mahomes is amazing but they lost an excellent receiver in the offseason and their defense has not been playing well. Cincy is a more complete team and buffalo could be too assuming the offense returns to form
  17. This probably doesn’t factor into it much but hurts would look nowhere near as good if he was playing the bills schedule imo. Philly has had the 30th toughest schedule by dvoa rankings this season so far and it doesn’t get much tougher in the last 4 weeks. Id give it to mahomes right now if it was up to me…he’s got Kelce and a good offensive line and nothing else. Hurts has a ton of weapons Josh is in the worst situation of the 3 so if he was a little closer in stats I’d lean his way but he’s behind for sure at the moment
  18. Lol he’s like a kid playing madden that runs the same blitz every play
  19. If the chargers get healthy they could beat anybody…not too sure what’s goin on with their injury situation though they could still be banged up for the playoffs. They had KC dead to rights in that first matchup until Herbert threw that pick six in the end zone. Yea idk why the bears are getting talked up, people are still assuming we have the 2021 bills rush defense I guess when we have drastically improved. I keep hearing we’re a bad team in bad weather on all the sports talk shows when we are top 10 in rushing offense and top 5 in rushing defense lol
  20. KC is looking pretty vulnerable to me…if we end up with the 2 seed there’s no guarantee we’d even end up seeing them assuming we make it to the AFC championship which is definitely not a sure thing. they are 1-5 against the bills and bengals the last two years and it took a huge effort from the refs and an absolutely horrific backup qb performance to sneak by the titans this year who they lost to last year. They should really be 1-7 against the bills bengals and titans the last two seasons with that one win decided by a coin flip essentially
  21. We have more invested on defense than the chiefs…we will see if it pays off or not. A good defense can help a qb out as much as skill position players.
  22. Teams have been playing Miami press man so I expect to see elam this week…this week was made for him so if we don’t see him this week then maybe we can worry 😄
  23. I never even said ‘mahomes isn’t great’ and I think you missed my point 😂.the person I’m replying to said gmfb is saying our offense isn’t very good and we aren’t built to play in bad weather so we will struggle in the playoffs and I vehemently disagreed with point 2 and point 1 is a ridiculous thing to single the bills out on. all the AFC playoff teams have holes and have been up and down offensively and otherwise. Why would we compare our team to some hypothetically perfect team when there are very real teams we will see in the playoffs. I used the chiefs as an example because you could easily say all the same things about them as they are a team carried by two offensive players that have been up and down and they don’t even have a very good defense to fall back on. It’s just odd that everyone is acting so defeated when we have a legitimate shot to enter the playoffs with wins over the 1-6 seeds and maybe even 1-7 seeds. and finally I would somewhat disagree with the OPs premise as it relates to the jets game at least. If you’ve got a guy with a step in single coverage against the jets that’s a shot you take. Putting a long dink and dunk drive together against them would’ve been tough as there were frequently dlinemen in the passing lanes, our receivers could not catch, and we were holding on every other play. Josh took the shots he needed to and they were pretty high percentage plays we just whiffed on them all. That’s not to say the ‘he tries to force chunk plays’ criticism hasn’t been accurate at times earlier in the season though. so really I think I addressed a lot of the topics in that original comment i was replying to 😂 We’re just caught up in this cycle of beating a team and then concluding the team we beat wasn’t any good and we should’ve won by more and doing the whole thing again next week lol. The lions win is my personal favorite as we caught them in the middle of their streak where they have been arguably the hottest team in football and people saw the win as a negative somehow. We might be the only team that beats them the last 9 weeks of the season
  24. Why would how other playoff teams in the AFC look be irrelevant to the bills potential playoff success? Lol every team is up and down….I’d take being down in a game against one of the best defenses in the league in terrible weather over what a lot of the other good afc teams did last week. Gmfb singling out the bills as the only team winning ugly is preposterous 😂. That’s the point of my post. Every shot josh took in this game was well calculated imo…single coverage with separation. And seeing as the underneath guys are dropping even more balls than anyone im ok with taking those shots. Nobody seems to care or talk about them when they work. If you’re playing the whole game with a pretty big risk of a holding call at any moment, putting together a long drive of short to intermediate passes becomes very difficult. Especially when McKenzie/singletary can’t catch the ball. underneath throws with a slick football also pose some risk where it goes through the receivers hands and gets picked too…or a defensive lineman bats them into the air. To me that jets game we went all in on playing conservative/trusting the defense and won the game i don’t think Dorsey is the best offensive coordinator in the league by any means but marginally better execution from the players and we are undefeated right now. This revisionist history with Daboll I’ve been seeing is comical…we looked completely lost for 4 quarters quite a few times last year and were 7-6 at this point against a much easier schedule with a much healthier team If we start struggling in non terrible weather against mediocre defenses now that Josh’s elbow seems good to go then I will panic with y’all because kc is a mediocre defense and the weather will probably be good lol but until then I really don’t see much of a reason to worry. The jets are a good team with bad qb play even, and Mike white made some impressive throws and they still got handled
  25. Definitely don’t blame you at all this is more of a response to gmfb and the like…these are absolute clown takes on their part imo a team that’s top 10 in rushing and top 4 against the run with a qb that has an absolute cannon and can run like a fullback is a bad offense in bad weather? Lol absolutely embarrassing take for people getting payed a lot of money to talk about football. the wins aren’t always gonna be pretty in bad weather especially when you’re playing a defense like the jets but that doesn’t mean the weather isn’t hurting the opponent more than us. last year I’d come closer to agreeing with this weather take but this year our defense has been much better against the run. They’ve been playing very well even without considering we were missing a huge chunk of defensive playmakers for a majority of the season. im fairly convinced the talking heads just look at stat sheets and don’t watch bills games at all. Kansas City has been winning ugly for weeks now and nobody cares because their struggles are more on the defensive side? They’ve been bailed out by running into backup qbs at key moments all season. They could easily have two more losses. Miami has looked bad, Tennessee has looked bad, cincy had an ugly win over Cleveland this week, baltimore has looked bad and everyone’s injured again, who else is there? Lol. Who is this hypothetically perfect team with a great offense and defense that is going to knock the bills out of the playoffs? The eagles or cowboys in the superbowl? cowboys almost got beat by the Texans this week
