  1. He missed a lot of throws when having to evade pass rushers so I don’t think Kelce is gonna step in and fix all their problems…he will certainly help though no question
  2. I mean to be fair MVS made an all time ridiculous catch that ended up resulting in a td too…so the football gods giveth and taketh lol
  3. I’m not sure it does…the chiefs dline was great without him against a tough lions oline. That unit certainly did their job
  4. Yea seriously…absolutely no way the chiefs oline is getting away with that insane display again. Every team is probably calling the league office as we speak haha. They may have gotten shut out tonight if it wasn’t for that
  5. They have jags at every skill position but TE…it’s pretty lucky they haven’t had a game like this yet imo
  6. No jones and Kelce but nearly unlimited offensive holds and false starts lol look at how badly one hold derailed their final drive and imagine that all game.
  7. Inexcusable decision that likely lost them the game…I don’t care how many superbowl rings he has.
  8. It’s the oline mostly…they just let a serviceable tackle and a good tackle leave inexplicably lol I don’t think just adding Kelce back fixes all the issues everyone always sends all the credit mahomes’ way but that pass blocking was a hugely important component. They’d be getting butchered in the trenches right now if their olinemen weren’t getting away with murder
  9. If the rules applied to his RT I’m pretty confident the lions would win this one lol
  10. Collingsworth talking about chiefs olinemen getting away with murder like they’re just smart players is an all timer collingsworth moment
  11. Did this guy not say he was gonna take a pay cut to keep his weapons not too long ago? Lol what a crock
  12. I don’t want to put words in his mouth but I think he’s comparing on paper going into the season that year to on paper going into the season this year. Like did anyone really know cole was unwashed or John brown was gonna go over 1k receiving yards? I think it’s josh making the receivers more so than the receivers making josh so it’s very possible someone maybe unexpected going into the season is gonna go off this year also.
  13. That’s pretty funny timing…I just saw a video of mike florio saying we could finish last in the division to be fair everyone said the rest of the division caught up to the chiefs last year and they won the superbowl soooo 😂
  14. burrow gets the ball out quick to elite, physical receivers that get open fast and can beat you deep so you have to respect that as well. we were down Daquan jones also which imploded the run defense so the bengals really were never in a position where pass rush could’ve effected them too much. I agree with a lot of what you said but I don’t think there’s much use in extrapolating the bengals results into the jets game especially when we added a pretty good pass rusher in Leonard Floyd. the jets oline could really be anywhere between good and bad depending on how the tackles hold up. Brown is getting up there in age and he’s coming off a season ending surgery and becton is pretty much always injured. Jets oline definitely has a higher ceiling if they get a return to form from brown and becton holds up, but they’ve got a lower floor as well if those guys struggle. Not sure if a tricep surgery can have any negative lasting effects on an OL but that’s something to keep an eye on with Vera-tucker too I’d be pretty surprised if the jets win this game honestly, I’m sure that will change in the second matchup but right now they’ve just got so many moving parts with guys returning from injury that haven’t seen game action in awhile and a new qb/OC and so on
  15. If you’ve gotta play the jets, week 1 seems like the best bet imo. Rodgers just hasn’t logged the game time with a lot of these guys yet also Duane brown, Mekhi becton, Vera-tucker and breece hall will be starting their first games post surgeries(if becton even starts) away against the jets week 1 and home later in the season was as good as it could’ve worked out for us it’s pretty reasonable to assume they’ll see some offensive growing pains as Brady started pretty slowly on a much more stacked bucs offense
  16. I think if the oline can improve a bit, josh will be a lot more willing to take short throws. Of course none of us are in his head, but it’s gotta be frustrating knowing a drive killing holding penalty or a sack from pretty much instant pressure was extremely likely on any drive with a high play count.
  17. Yea some of that can be more the system than him as a player…a lot of those people known as lockdown corners play a lot of man typically. The bills seem to be more into disguising different types of zone coverage well…that’s pretty anecdotal though I don’t know the rates we play man vs zone vs some combo of the two I would think it could’ve been conditioning for tre last season too…I don’t think his slow start was all because of not trusting his knee. Although that’s impossible to know for sure some of it can be when he returned, pass rush is a dbs best friend and ours fell off a cliff when we lost von.
  18. I just signed up for this and I’m not sure I will financially recover lol. Fun part about YouTube tv in general is it comes with ads unless that account has YouTube premium…so if you want ad free YouTube tv and Sunday ticket you need YouTube premium,YouTube tv, and Sunday ticket 😂
  19. Corner play doesn’t seem like it’s at a super high premium in the McDermott system anyway so as long as he’s better than last year we should be fine. the safety play last year felt like it hurt a lot more than the corners…hopefully we’ve got a healthy hyde/poyer combo.
  20. Man I am truly the kiss of death lol. I was just on Reddit defending the pats(yuck) from jets and dolphins fans dunking on them and I was like ‘they have the best oline in the division and they dumped the bum Matt Patricia so I wouldn’t write them off yet’ this is going to be a weird year for me…I’d much rather see the jets and dolphins grab that last in the division spot than the pats. Never would’ve thought that could happen
  21. The hype train seems to only be with nfl tv personalities lol. All this talk of the bills demise and jets being elite and yet they are 2.5 point home dogs to buffalo and their season over/under is set at 9.5 most places Unfortunately that will likely continue, once a db becomes a household name/media darling they seem to get away with murder for years
  22. Now that there’s no 2 seed bye, the 1 seed is an absolutely massive advantage. Imo regular season results get completely discounted when talking playoffs but they really shouldn’t be. 2021-2022 the path was clear and we just blew too many regular season games. We beat the bills up for not being able to beat the chiefs when we really have played better than anyone visiting arrowhead. the josh slander is getting a bit out of control around here…dude has been carrying a bad-somewhat mediocre offensive line for 5 years.
  23. Schedule is pretty tough….I think they’ll be better than last year skill wise but only win 11 this time and win the division by a game or two. Jets or dolphins will win 9 or 10 (probably the jets) and the one of those teams that doesn’t is gonna be the disappointment of the year
  24. They always seem to show up in huge moments in the playoffs though…the regular season ranking doesn’t always tell the whole story. And even so, cincy was 6th in points allowed per game last year in the regular season and kc is usually hovering around the top 10. 2022 they were 8th and 2021 they were 11th. The rams are the only other Super Bowl winner with a defense outside the top 10 in points allowed per game in the last 10 years. Both those rams and chiefs Super Bowl teams got huge sacks when they needed them though, chiefs were second in sacks in 2023 and the rams were third in 2022. Breakdown of scoring defenses for Super Bowl winners is: Chiefs 16th rams 16th Bucs 8th Chiefs 8th Pats 7th Eagles 4th Pats 1st Broncos 1st Pats 8th(should’ve been Seahawks 1st lol) Seahawks 1st Of the four teams that made it to the conference finals last year, three of them were top 10 scoring defenses. 6 of the top 7 made the playoffs…only one that didn’t was the jets defensive football is still very much alive, but things are starting to shift to who can come up with those big sacks to get a clutch stop when they need one the last few years. That’s really the only way to slow down the Allen/hurts/mahomes/burrow’s of the league. The bills just haven’t been making that one big defensive play against the bengals or chiefs in the playoffs.
  25. With the 4th and 10th overall picks 🤦‍♂️The jets picked much earlier in the draft lol. Is this seriously a point people just ignore? Not to mention they absolutely blew their early first round pick the year prior. there are a lot less sure things in the late second round compared to the early first. Compare what beane has done to other perennially good teams with late round picks, not an absolute dumpster fire franchise that will briefly be buoyed by the parity built in to the league before inevitably fading to obscurity when they can’t resign all those early picks
