  1. This game is literally the argument for this ‘sugar high josh’ term y’all throw around…underneath stuff and running the football isn’t getting it done he’s gonna need to take some shots
  2. That’s a weird wrinkle in the rules I don’t think we’ve ever seen before…it’s not like he gave himself up he caught the ball on the ground…I think he should probably have to survive the ground there
  3. I’m so sick of this narrative, man. Josh makes big time risky positive plays all the time and nobody talks about it until it doesn’t work a couple times then it’s ‘desperation hero ball’
  4. They have literally been using him as a safety blanket arguably too much this game lol
  5. I’m telling myself he dropped it and they got an auto first on the roughing the passer then scored 😂
  6. Lol I don’t think anyone is saying to do it every snap…you’re criticizing a play where the first read was comically wide open.
  7. Looked like a pretty big gain if he fastballed it in there. Cook has to catch that. If he took some off it it only goes for a couple
  8. Every week I somehow forget how ridiculous this game day thread is 😂. Somehow a quick out to an absolutely wide open cook is a bad call?
  9. I’m still not over the bills loss to the jags in London on that phantom pi call like 10 years ago lol
  10. Another team with garbage coverage linebackers, one great pass rusher, and a mediocre offense. Feels like a redux of the commanders game only thing keeping this close is the big time travel disadvantage
  11. They also hate ocyrus Torrence lol I don’t think pff even normalizes their score based on opponents so there’s really nothing to support the bills having a bad pass rush. If they got less points for beating up on bad olines maybe that would hold them back a bit but I don’t think it works that way
  12. Unfortunately we have been regular season second place in wins which has given the chiefs a huge edge in the playoffs and this all began just after the 2 seed stopped getting a bye people talk like regular season success doesn’t effect playoffs and that is absolutely not true The nfl playoffs has a crazy high variance and it is especially high for teams that don’t get home field/a first round bye. The best team winning the superbowl is pretty rare in general if you’re looking at an individual couple of years everyone’s spoiled by what NE did but really most teams with an elite qb are very good for a decade or more and they only win 1-2 superbowls the chiefs have been insanely lucky as far as seeding goes…any time they haven’t been the 1 seed the 1 seed has pooped the bed and they get the home afc championship anyway 😂
  13. Idk I think there’s some nuance to this as josh had the best two game run for a qb in the playoffs probably ever and the defense failed him miserably. On the flip side, burrow has played pretty average in the playoffs and he has been rescued by his defense on quite a few occasions If we were comparing a superbowl winner to a non superbowl winner I’d def side with you more, but burrow and Allen both don’t have one. As bills fans have learned from decades of jokes, almost winning a Super Bowl isn’t worth diddly until burrow has got a Super Bowl win I think comparing playoff stats/regular season stats between Allen and burrow is more than fair .
  14. Browns give them trouble too and they’ve also got the Seahawks left. 1-4 might be the end of their playoff hopes. They’d probably have to finish 9-3 to have a chance which would be pretty tough even for that peak bengals team we saw last year
  15. Afc player of the week has been won by a player from the dolphins or bills every week so far haha
  16. Torrence seems to be the 2023 edition of good bills players that pff hates lol somehow he’s at a 59 right now which doesn’t make a lot of sense unless he’s consistently getting embarrassed when run blocking
  17. The pats are actually still trying to compete this season? I’d just play for draft position at this point
  18. We face the bottom 3 offensive lines in the league still in addition to the jets lol crazy we could be seeing all them With von miller
  19. Both diggs/Allen and mahomes/Kelce have such a great rapport that the receivers can improvise based on the coverage and the qbs will still know exactly where they’re gonna be. Kelce feels like he does a ton of damage finding weak spots in zone coverage. playing man against either of these teams gets tough too because they’ve got a lot of pretty good receivers and the qb can take off running diggs is such a good route runner too that he’s hard to double even. True double coverage really isn’t that successful against great wrs…I think I saw some tweet last year that diggs was open like 60% of the time anyway against double coverage
  20. 9 minutes a few timeouts and the 2 minute warning is plenty of time to score multiple tds if the team with the lead goes three and out a few times
  21. Oh i didn’t intend on moving the goalposts or disagreeing with you lol i absolutely agree with your eichenberg point. I was just furthering the discussion…maybe I jumped the gun but the implication seemed to be that our defense is great but the rematch will be a much different game if their offensive line is fully healthy but I would be shocked if their offensive line is fully healthy for any future game is the jist of what I was saying. williams and armstead just absolutely cannot miss any time for them to be successful which is quite a calculated risk. and yea I would put some blame on beane for our pass rush completely vanishing after von went down. Investing in backups is pointless if they’re not good 😂 literally the biggest criticism we could make of beane so far is he’s thrown a ton of money at the defensive line depth and not really gotten anywhere near the return on investment up until now.
  22. I don’t want to say this didn’t age well because it comes down to personal feelings but man is this an exciting team. Even from that poopy jets game it was pretty clear we have made big strides in the trenches I will say though that the last few years have really made us all understand how hard it is to win a Super Bowl which is pretty discouraging at times. The best team winning it is pretty rare to begin with and there’s 0 margin of error for the team that has to play that fateful arrowhead stadium afc championship game. Someone’s gotta stop these fools from getting the 1 seed every season 😂.
  23. I can’t believe I’m about to go to bat for Zach Wilson but I can see the jets rolling with him given who’s available. At least he’s bad and mobile rather than just a pretty bad pocket passer lol matt Ryan would get killed behind that offensive line
  24. I definitely agree but at what point does it become the dolphins front offices fault that they are just not pursuing quality offensive line depth. They are one offensive line injury from a disaster at any given time which is the danger zone for a team starting terron armstead. I don’t think there’s a team in the league that makes it through an entire season without having to shuffle olinemen due to injury I’d file that more in the flawed team category than bad luck category The bills for example lost two corners and were down a safety to start but they have quality depth at those positions so there wasn’t a big drop off
  25. They themselves were a playoff team last year and they beat a playoff team last year though. If ‘oh we’re playing a lot of playoff teams early’ is a valid excuse there’s major problems I’d excuse getting stomped by the cowboys but sneaking by the cardinals and getting blown out by the Seahawks is rough
