Game Day Thread? Bills @ Steelers 8/19

Bad game no question but I think SOME of it is the Steelers starters were in for their second preseason game. -

The dude picked up a 2nd and 25 that got negated by an OL penalty lol I’m not sure what else he’s supposed to do he’s not gonna be out there making too many plays with his legs in the preseason. -

This is absolutely incorrect lol -

I wouldn’t want him hanging in the pocket too long to get hit while he’s throwing in the preseason honestly -

Steelers starters played last week too -
Packers offensive line last year was likely significantly better than the jets will be this year too…I think Aaron might get frustrated pretty quickly. Oline depth is gonna haunt the dolphins, jets, and bills but I’ve got a lot more faith in josh to overcome it.

OT…All is not going well on South Beach
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even if it is, tua seems like he gets tunnel vision when the pocket breaks down and josh is the opposite. I’d take josh behind the bills oline over the dolphins and jets situations by a healthy margin. Jets have a little more upside than the dolphins do though…if becton and brown can stay healthy they have a shot to be decent but the dolphins look like a pretty flawed group even with injuries turned off -
Notes from Ravens Practice
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Biden is Mentally Fit's topic in The Stadium Wall
The flip side of this is his weaknesses are pretty well documented too…he seems to get tunnel vision when you disrupt the timing of the play by collapsing the pocket or having some extra defenders in the middle of the field. Seemed like the league started to figure out the tua led dolphins before his season ended -
Josh Allen goes #1 overall to the Browns in a 2018 Redraft
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh would’ve landed on his feet anywhere…couldn’t have put him in much worse of a situation than we put him in lol. That 2018 bills roster was pretty terrible -
Belichick on the hot seat in N.E.
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
This has put me more towards team ‘it was mostly Brady’. Seems like bill used to trade back a lot and load up on defensive picks because Brady could make it work with anybody as long as the offensive line was pretty good. now that he’s gotta try to help the offense in the draft too the wheels seem to be coming off. Some of his picks on the offensive side have been real head scratchers idk how there can be no reprocussions for rolling with Matt Patricia at OC either lol McDermott has made the playoffs as a head coach every season josh Allen wasn’t the starter 😂. -
Dalton Kincaid stats this year
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Dan in Owego's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems like he’s getting a huge workload in camp so I think that would lean towards Dorsey using him early and often…I’d put the over under at 650 receiving yards / 5 tds -
Outside of MLB, Where are the Bills Worse in 2023?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
McKenzie has never had a year in his career as good as the 2021 harty had on the dumpster fire passing game saints in only 11 games lol Crowder hardly even played…why is he now retroactively getting talked up? Why are we comparing our expectations going into 2022 with what we have now when we played a full season with those guys? Gabe Davis is still gabe Davis for better or worse, crowder never played and is gone, mckenzie was bad and is gone. We added the best pass catcher in the draft,a receiver who was ramping up in 2021 then got hurt last year, and a pretty capable player from a division rival that we likely have a lot of insider knowledge of. how can that not be better than what we saw on the field last year? -

Generic_Bills_Fan replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
TEs typically take time to develop because they need to pick up the blocking schemes…that’s not really relevant for Kincaid. harty had 500+ receiving yards in 13 total games(1 start) on the worst passing offense in the league in 2021. He got injured last year and everybody forgot about him. I would take that over McKenzie who couldn’t put up those numbers in one of the best offenses in the league. crowder I wouldn’t even consider as he missed pretty much all of last season. I think it’s hard to call this season anything other than an upgrade at wr even with modest expectations for Kincaid. -
It was really a tale of two half seasons last year. Things started going south when von went down because the secondary was too banged up already to hold up in coverage. Tre working his way back from the acl injury, poyer playing hurt, no Micah hyde. I’d expect things to go differently this season if most of these guys are relatively healthy come playoff time. prior to last season I don’t think we really had the pass rush to slow down the chiefs

I still don’t get how the Floyd signing isn’t talked about more by the national media lol is it because it was late in free agency? once von gets healthy this dline is gonna be scary

Generic_Bills_Fan replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think we made huge strides this offseason but it was mostly sneaky good signings that the national media doesn’t pay any attention to lol they only care about the big name splash signings. leonard Floyd and Taylor rapp were pretty big gets and I don’t see anyone outside of buffalo really talking about them -
Has Miami really closed the gap?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to billsbackto81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think the Miami offense is gonna snap right back to how good they were the first third of last season. It’s been overshadowed by the tua injuries later on but defenses started to adapt to tuas tendencies and things were getting more difficult for them as time went on. They didn’t really improve at coverage linebacker either which hurts them against us and their offensive line is virtually the same without a lot of depth They had a good game against us late in the season but our defense was pretty much in shambles after von went down we just didn’t play a lot of high power offenses in the second half of the season the playoff game was a bit of a fluke as far as our offense against them goes, we were a few near misses from racking up tons of yards and points but virtually everything that could go wrong did without Ramsey for most of the season, the dolphins didn’t improve even close to as much as the bills and jets this offseason -
Jets' O-line is their Achilles heel
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Duane brown is like 40 coming off surgery and becton is never healthy…they might have huge problems at tackle. Could be a huge downgrade from the packers oline -
Is the AFC East being overhyped this year?
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the dolphins offense got somewhat figured out midseason and it’s being sold as tua concussion related but probably isn’t. Tuas good at getting the ball out quick to his first read in the middle of the field and when that starts to break down he can’t really go off script. -
OT…opinions of Jalen Hurts
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hurts is kind of a victim of his own team…that roster is just absolutely loaded so he’s probably always gonna get ranked below guys that we have watched carry teams single handedly I think if you swapped josh and jalen the bills would get worse and the eagles would get better but there’s no way to prove or disprove that hypothetical obviously -
Rewatching the Week 3 Dolphins game
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to buffblue's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s still one of the statistically flukiest losses in NFL history I’m pretty sure lol it’s crazy to even think about i wonder if part of Frazier getting let go is player development. Our young guys at LB and safety just haven’t been improving it feels like. -
RB$ circling the wagons for fellow RBs
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think some of the issue is offensive line talent seems to be waning with the college game becoming all spread offenses. I don’t think someone like saquon gets you much more value than an average rb when your team can’t run block to save their lives lol in the passing game a skill position player/qb can have a much bigger impact solo imo
