  1. Seemed like they held up pretty well on that 3rd down play 🤷‍♂️
  2. Agree to disagree I guess…route looked far from average to me. Throw was off target though no question…wouldn’t disagree with that at all. I’m not trying to put all the blame on Davis by any means…this all came up in the context of ‘josh stared him down which caused the int’
  3. I mean that first part was a bit of a joke I don’t think it was worthy of a good grief 😂. But the point is he predominantly runs go routes when you look at the season statistics and easily could have sold one there had he put in any amount of effort. This idea that he has run so many corner routes that it is telegraphed is a massive over exaggeration imo and cherry picking one single game route chart doesn’t prove anything. And to the pats fans original point, ‘staring down a receiver’ does not give away the route when the throw is out before he makes his break. If anything, it could further make the defense think a go route is coming. Ah yes that was brown you are correct. Either way davis’ terrible route last night reminded me of that. It is objectively an issue with Davis that has cropped up quite a few times but I definitely misidentified him on that play for which I apologize.
  4. Maybe this is a philosophical thing that I differ in, but giving up yards in the middle of the field doesn’t matter a whole lot if you’re tightening things up on your side of the field. Seemed to be the case last night. Kincaid looked good last night to me…he was open all night and on the field a ton. 55 snaps and 38 routes. Not his fault joshs brain somehow disintegrated at halftime. Gotta completely disagree with you on that one. Wouldn’t disagree about elam though I’m assuming they thought he was coachable to be a scheme fit but it may not have worked out
  5. I’m too dumb to know how to add pics here haha but cover 1 has his route percentage at nine route 19% of the time and corner 5.6%, post 15.3% for last season. Shouldn’t have been too hard for him to sell a go route there he just made absolutely zero effort. Kind of reminds me of that last play against the ravens a few years back where he ran a very much uncrisp slant route and couldn’t beat the single coverage not sure a route chart from one individual game from 2022 is all the jets are lookin at lol
  6. Idk gabe seems like he’s almost always running gos to me lol maybe that’s anecdotal and I only pay attention to him when he’s running deep though
  7. Gabe is wide open if he runs a crisp route there literally for the reasons you mentioned earlier in the post lol other teams have seen the movie before and he’s usually running a ton of go routes. Probably the laziest route I’ve ever seen. Still an off target throw though
  8. Lol I’m not objecting to them being bad decisions but I think looking off the receiver was low on the list of problems with those two deep ones 😂 the pick to gabe was a horrendous route…the safety knew exactly where gabe was going from the snap...I don’t think any amount of looking off changes that one. I’m fine with that read though
  9. I’m genuinely confused at which play you’re referencing lol two of the picks were bombs into double coverage and one was a play where the ball has to come out before Davis made his break. It was the right read but the throw was too far inside and Davis ran an absolutely atrocious route as he often does. The safety had no business being on that route gabe just made no effort selling that he was going deep
  10. Teams that can get a ton of pressure with 4 and stay disciplined enough to plug up his running lanes are always gonna give him trouble..I think he’s just gotta learn to turn into a game manager in those situations. unfortunately for us we’ve seen it twice in a row now with the bengals and jets. this team just doesn’t seem built well to overcome that, feels like we were only focusing on the chiefs then a bunch of other teams came up with really disciplined defenses. The no running game is an absolute killer
  11. Certainly better than last year and it’s hardly debatable. Ok/pretty bad can still be much better than awful lol
  12. Seems to me that when things aren’t going his way he tries to do even more himself to get a shot at redemption and sometimes it snowballs like last night. Well yea if you agree with the Daboll point I take no issue 😂. Dorsey isn’t noticeably worse than Daboll is all I was saying…doesn’t bother me where people want to rank both those guys daboll just surprised first year as a head coach so people are elevating what he did with the bills. I think it’s likely gonna come crashing back to earth this year though
  13. That may have been his intent but it was absolutely unquestionably a trip lol idk how anyone can say otherwise. Jets more than likely still go on to win regardless though so it doesn’t mean much
  14. Yes I am lol. If you gave him the 2020/2021 bills oline last year he is the mvp bad elbow and all and the bills have a chance at 17-0…it has nothing to do with commercials. when you have disciplined linebackers that can plug up his rushing lanes and pressure him with 4 he’s gonna struggle…he always has. the jets did both those things extremely well as did the bengals in the playoff game
  15. I still cannot fathom this point…seems like a knee jerk reaction after a bad game. There were plenty of games with Daboll here where the offense was useless and now that he’s gone people are misremembering imo. This board was constantly criticizing Dabolls playcalling and mostly happy when he left. the offense was statistically great last year despite having two horrendous offensive linemen and a qb with a bum elbow for half the season…it has nothing to do with Daboll leaving teams like the jets and prime tj watt Steelers have always given josh problems
  16. You think public humiliation will help him mentally? Haha it’s all kind of moot because there’s a 0% chance they do this
  17. I can kind of see both sides…maybe people are used to the chiefs who can’t run the football against a light box.. it’s a lot more nuanced than ‘oh you know they’re gonna run it should be easy to stop’ though too. There’s a lot of different ways a running play can be presented. Bills gave up some big runs last night but that’s gonna happen every now and then when a team is hammering the run. They also make plenty of huge stops in the backfield too
  18. I mean that’s hard to say…the jets entire shtick last night was baiting josh into running lanes that looked available then they collapsed extremely quickly Are we seriously entertaining Kyle Allen not being terrible? Lol. Criticize josh all you want but there is no way Kyle Allen with no running game is going to have any amount of success
  19. I thought the d was pretty good honestly…they defended short fields all night and gave up 16 points. I would’ve said great if they were playing a qb better than Wilson lol what was wrong with Kincaid? He was open all night. The revisionist history on this still puzzles me…I keep hearing ‘it was Daboll, it was the commercials’ yada yada but josh has had a few absolute stinkers like this every year his entire career.
  20. The hero ball generally helps much more than it hurts…I’d agree with that based on last nights game though.
  21. How would the leg whip not have mattered? I don’t remember the exact yard line that it occurred on but it’s a 15 yarder I’m pretty sure. So even if it happened on the 30 that is far from a guaranteed fg if the bills stop them
  22. I’d say two were horrible decisions…I’m alright with the bomb on 3rd and 8 that went down as a good punt, the jets were honestly kind of stupid for intercepting that. The ball to Davis was a fine read he just didn’t make a great throw and Davis ran an absolute garbage route which allowed the safety to jump it from very far away
  23. Not sure how people will react to this lol but I completely agree. Sauce is the new household name corner that gets away with everything which is to be expected, but don’t call an opi on a receiver for fighting back definitely deserved to lose anyway and we still could’ve lost if all those calls went our way though
  24. It’d be worse to me if virtually the same exact game didn’t happen vs the jets last season so I’m likely giving the bills more benefit of the doubt than I should
  25. That’s all they needed after going up two scores maybe…but they had to go up two scores first lol
