I think he’s takin too many checkdowns honestly 😂. It’s the staring down receivers on those high low type concepts that is killing him week after week

If they really go down in flames there’s a chance mcd goes in the offseason imo. If they lose this one they’ve got a shot at like 6-7 wins which is baaad.

I think they’re just trying to get him reps for later in the year…he’s healthy he’s just got no bend with that big cast on which was his greatest asset. That cast is just precautionary as far as I know certainly a questionable decision either way though I won’t argue that. Kind of screwed either way if they waited until late November to activate him he wouldn’t have been useful at any point this season

I don’t really understand the plan with him…he’s playin with a big a** cast on and they’re just trying to get him reps or something He’ll be closer to his usual self when that cast comes off but he’s hurtin the team right now and it might be too late

The afc playoff picture is such a mess right now because so many of these teams play eachother still. The jags play the Texans bengals browns and ravens texans play the jaguars and browns ravens play the bengals,chargers,jags,dolphins,steelers Browns play the Steelers, jaguars,Texans,bengals Steelers play the browns, bengals twice, and the ravens i don’t think there can even mathematically be 2 wildcard teams from the north that run away with it lol

Bengals are already in trouble 😄. They’re in a worse situation than us despite beating us ironically enough lol. Much tougher path to a division win with 3 other good teams to contend with and already head to head losses to baltimore and Cleveland

The ravens look like they could be in trouble too when you look at their schedule after being one of the superbowl favorites last week. There’s a very real chance they end up missing the playoffs and one of pit/Cleveland wins the division Cleveland has really mucked things up for everybody lol they had no business winning the baltimore or SF games

5-3 with losses to the three teams everyone is worried about (chiefs,eagles,cowboys) is much more than likely going to result in a playoff appearance and probably a division win. there’s also the added wrinkle where if Miami has the division locked up and a seed they’re happy with they will be resting starters week 18 5-3 with an nfc win and a loss to eagles/cowboys,chiefs,dolphins is still a probable playoff appearance 4-4 we’re pretty much done unless one of those wins is against Miami and we can snag the division . I’d say we’re still in pretty good shape. Pretty much all the wildcard competition is in the AFC north and those teams all play eachother a bunch of times…there’s three afc north division games in the next two weeks If we lose tonight it’s definitely panic time though lol

Even if true the Steelers ravens and browns still play eachother multiple times it’s really tough for 3 playoff teams to come out of one division. Ravens schedule is brutal too so they could fall off…really anything could happen. 5-3 finish with losses to chiefs, cowboys, and eagles and we are 90+% to make the playoffs If we win one of those 3 games and lose to the dolphins we’re still more likely than not to make it

They won in a nearly impossible fashion against the giants also so I’d say McDermott and his coaching tree lol

I feel like this has a shot at happening again…linval Joseph looked like a pretty big improvement right out of the gate never should’ve been 7-6 that year though to be fair we got absolutely robbed on what should’ve been the diggs game winning td against the bucs

Offense has been a struggle league wide is what I’m saying. We are far from the only team experiencing offensive struggles but the good teams are finding other ways to win when it happens. I’m not trying to absolve the offense of all their shortcomings just providing some context defensive struggles are a lot more interrelated with the offensive success than you’re letting on for sure also. We are forcing little to no turnovers and starting almost exclusively in bad field position on offense because our defense can’t get off the field

Defense has been dominating this year it feels like…can’t remember the last time I saw one of these lions chargers barnburner type games

Even if there was nothing wrong with ours(debatable) the lions are one of the best offensive lines in the league. They’re quite a few tiers above average in that department
