I really don’t know if I’m taking crazy pills or something but it seems as simple as…pass blocking bad offense bad. Pass blocking good offense good to me for years now lol if we hold up up front we destroy teams typically. Idk if people don’t want to believe this or they want to blame the qb/skill position players/ play design or what but the OL was a massive issue last night to the point where who even knows what the play design is? Everything broke down pretty much instantly. And you’ve got skill position players in chipping to help the OL out and they’re still getting smoked so that’s limiting the route tree of one/multiple pass catchers just to not quite hold up in pass protection. people are like ohhh Ben Johnson in Detroit what a genius…one of the best offensive lines. Oh Andy Reid another genius….perennially one of the best offensive lines. Oh eagles OC from last year that I forgot the name of lol genius…one of the best offensive lines. Games where their olines don’t hold up they look just as bad as anyone else. Look at philly and kc vs the jets this year

Bills undoubtedly once people settle down in the next few days lol they would trade places with us in an instant

Idk why everyone is hung up on ‘it was the giants’…I don’t care who it was…their front 7 absolutely obliterated us to levels no other team that is supposedly way better on paper has this year. You plug any other qb in there not named mahomes and they have absolutely no shot at making any of those drive extending plays last night. Not sure it’s even debatable. I mean, y’all can continue with the ‘you don’t think anyone else can score on the giants’ shtick but that is very clearly not what I meant 😂. Idk if it was Daboll knowing our OL tendencies or the giants defense finally not being on the field for 45 minutes or what but they absolutely roasted us up front. Dexter Lawrence has unquestionably been a beast all season though so idk how ridiculously surprising it is there were also quite a few loooong drives for both teams in this one. Normally the giants go instantly three and out lol we got 9 total drives in this one people sayin geno scored on the giants why couldn’t the bills should probably review the stat line from that game…pretty much the entire Seahawks offensive output came on one busted coverage with lock at qb…Seahawks had even less total yardage than us on two more drives. Cowboys had less total yardage than us also in their 40-0 win if you can believe that 🤣. Dak was 13/24 for 143 yards. They did a decent job against tua…he just cracked 300 yards but he turned it over twice. The giants offense has been what is losing them games.. they have been historically awful up until this game. Everything snowballs for them because they are a blitz heavy team and their guys gas out when their offense goes three and out ten times in a row. I think the Daniel jones injury really helped them out, tyrod is the kind of qb they need. He will not make a mistake leading to a sudden change for his defense and he’s got more mobility than jones

A bit of an oversimplification…what are the odds you can’t complete that throw to the TE and miss that fg. Also you’ve gotta still punt the ball out at the 10 lol if it was a touchback it was only like 16 yards of field position change for a chance to end the game. They just missed back to back pretty high percentage plays to win the game and now everybody is playing the hindsight game 5% chance is a weird number to assign even if the punt was guaranteed to be as good as you’re saying they had to go an extra 25 yards in 4 down territory where a td wins it vs giving up two very high percentage chances of ending the game -
I don’t think running for his life was an exaggeration at all and people that think it is should probably rewatch the game 😂. That’s one of the worst offensive line performances I’ve ever seen us have. Well if you downplay the offensive line point I wouldn’t expect you to agree with the ‘no other qb can do that’ point haha there were a handful of throws josh made under instant pressure that maybe one other guy in the league can make that extended both of those td drives. It has nothing to do with hero worship, I can comfortably say the offensive line held up pretty well week 1 and josh single handedly lost the game. I clearly wasn’t saying ‘no other qb can score 2 tds in a game’ haha that did give me a chuckle though. No shot any of those guys you listed make a lot of those second half throws and that is an objective fact. Teams make changes on a week to week basis and their head coach pretty much designed our offensive system and knows our offensive linemens tendencies better than anyone. Bringing up other teams that have played the giants past weeks is completely illogical. we blew out three teams this season did that mean absolutely anything in the last two weeks?

Everyone criticizes with the power of hindsight…a Barkley run from the 1 yard line is pretty damn tough to stop and if tyrod got a good look to check into that it was probably a pretty high percentage play. what if they threw the ball and he took a sack?. That’s probably just as likely as stopping saquon on a 1 yd run You completely change the game that way though if you retroactively give the giants points before halftime…the bills last drive they were super conservative and not in 4 down territory. I think you change the playcalling a bit too…doubt they would’ve been satisfied with a 16+ play td drive when trailing two scores lol I don’t think mahomes gets two untimed down type dpis in a row to close out a game that aren’t obscenely egregious. I can’t recall seeing any qb ever get that before -
He also had a good/great offensive line pretty much every year…we have never had that
-
He also made about 4 or 5 nearly impossible throws under instant pressure and went like 11/12 in the second half despite running for his life all night. I don’t think any other qb in the league wins that game there have been games that were absolutely all on him like the jets game week 1 but this was definitely not one of them.. not a great throw to Knox but he’s gotta haul that in It wasn’t a good throw but sometimes your skill position guys have to make plays and knox has dropped plenty. Blaming josh for almost losing this one seems absolutely ridiculous…the oline got absolutely obliterated all night and he was making plays left and right
-
I don’t think that’s the worst win imo…that giants team really brought it last night. That defensive line of theirs played out of their minds…dexter Lawrence has been a beast all season and we don’t seem to be dealing with interior pressure well since our RT is so bad to begin with lol also with Kincaid out we had to recycle a lot of the plays that Daboll used when he was here a lot of this is people saying ‘well the giants are 1-4 and we almost lost’ but they did not play like a 1-4 team last night. the win against the dolphins in the playoffs was a lot worse I’m not sure they do with judon out…the giants interior pressure absolutely murdered us and as bad as their team has been this year Dexter Lawrence has been one of the best players in the league

That hand fight early did waller in I think…also the throw was pretty high. It takes a lot to get that call on the last play of the game and that just wasn’t enough. -
Idk if they’ll be difficult to overcome yet but you certainly can’t give an injury excuse to only one team. elam playing due to injuries is just free yards and the defense has still looked pretty decent with Williams/Bernard they played a terrible offense that some of which was due to Daniel jones and some of which was due to not having their best offensive player until now. They had some other pretty big pieces return too not enough credit is being given to the giants front 7 imo just because their team is ‘bad’. Those guys were everywhere tonight. Best front 7 performance we’ve seen against us all year including the jets…I’m sure some was Daboll having the inside scoop though I don’t think there’s been a team in recent memory that has powered through key defensive player injuries better than the bills…the ravens are up there too we saw a few real high power offenses with our entire starting secondary injured last season and held up pretty well and we’ve got guys deep down the depth chart stepping up and playing pretty well this year too genuinely who looks Super Bowl worthy right now? Eagles and 49ers both looked mortal today, chiefs have been up and down, dolphins we’ve beat already

I mean idk how lucky it is the defense still has to get the stop…running saquon with one play to go in the half is a risk but it’s still a pretty high percentage play the uncalled pi was lucky ish I’d say but I think that was a bit of gamesmanship on tarons part knowing it was the last play of the game and it started as a handfight and they had just called one. I don’t think that flag gets thrown too often diggs got straight up tackled in the end zone down the stretch of the game against the bucs a few years ago and no call -

They’d need to score a td to outright win rather than a td and a whole other play just to tie? Why should we just ignore that point? Lol -

Generic_Bills_Fan replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think Waller got the call cuz he had his hands on taron too…it was probably pi and if they didn’t get a questionable one a play earlier they probably would’ve called it -

I don’t think I’ve ever seen two 50/50 pis called in a row leading to untimed downs in my life and I don’t think mahomes gets both those calls either I think that’s just as controversial if not more so than what actually ended up happening -

Or you make that kick and the giants have to go 75 yards and score a td and an extra point just to tie…right decision bad result imo. Giants still had plenty of time to get down the field and one of your corners is kaiir elam -

The jags were absolutely stacking the box because they knew our pass blocking couldn’t hold up long enough to attack deep. this week I was too nervous to get a good look at it and I’ll need to watch again 😂. We are also the best play action pass team in the league though which seems to be taken for granted. If you aren’t gonna run out of shotgun nobody is biting on pa out of shotgun. And if you’re running your whole offense under center, josh would’ve gotten absolutely abused the last few weeks.. he has frozen so many pass rushers coming free with stutter steps and every trick he’s got in his book and you’d lose a lot of that under center. I can understand the criticism but there’s been benefits of those plays too throughout the game -
We need another weapon...and dorsey is a tool
Generic_Bills_Fan replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
This extreme criticism of an OC when you’ve got guys dropping multiple critical wide open passes on third down every week and your offensive line can’t pass block to save their lives is still a little wild to me. Like I can’t fully wrap my head around it. Running under center was getting decent yardage but you’re always one stuffed run away from being behind the chains which also happened multiple times this game. every play caller in the league struggles in those conditions -
Do only our opponents have injuries that matter?
-
Josh absolutely rescued this game…the pick was the giants baiting him into a slant because they knew his tendencies very well. some of those throws in the second half were pretty much impossible and he was hitting them with regularity That timeline lines up pretty well with when his offensive line turned into absolute Swiss cheese.

It’s truly baffling to me…look at what the jets did to Andy Reid and sirianni…if your oline is getting smoked the playbook gets very very small. -
I think the two losses look a little better honestly. Tonight was the only team we’ve played that currently has a losing record and they made some big time personnel changes and their head coach knows our offense/players very well and we just flew across the Atlantic twice in 7 days 😂. Kind of excuse train-y I know but it’s more to say I think we’re gonna right the ship than trying to excuse the play tonight
