9-8 team is pretty likely getting in. Also in that scenario Miami is resting starters 100% I don’t think they’ve watched anyone play or looked at the standings before declaring we’ll probably miss the playoffs 😂. I think our playoff odds are even better this year than they were at this point last season despite being a win behind lol every other wildcard competitor is in the same division pretty much that is gonna likely be dominated by a single team, one is over a game behind us right now

If cincy loses today I doubt we are the betting underdog next week. lol if we’re heading into week 18 at 10-6, who are the 3 better teams eliminating us from playoff contention at 10-7. Is anyone making these predictions looking at the standings? 😂 there’s little to no chance we miss the playoffs at 10-7 the way things have shook out so far

He played pretty well…made some superhuman plays to keep drives alive. I still have no idea how he avoided that basically game ending safety and he drew that late facemask by fighting off that sack… point remains though that the people that said the bucs would torch us were very wrong lol That’s what kind of gets me about some of the negative posters around here…they make all these predictions that are wrong then when we don’t win the superbowl they say ‘see I was right all along’ 😂 Who are the two teams that knock the bills out of the 7 seed then?

First sentence could be true but I genuinely don’t get the final remark. We looked bad in some games so we don’t have a chance against the bengals? Have the bengals not looked bad in some games? I think that’s a tossup at worst especially with the additional prep time and cincy having to make it through a game with no additional injuries still. This is not the same bengals team as last year, they honestly haven’t looked any better than the bucs so far. Tons of offensive potential and maybe as burrow gets healthier they come closer to reaching it but that defense has taken a big step backwards. We do this thing where we give our opponents that we beat 0 credit but the bucs defense is actually solid and objectively better than the bengals

Thats a negative opinion that I wouldn’t argue for sure…playoffs would be an uphill battle unless we got one of jones/Milano back. I don’t think people are realizing how bold a prediction the bills missing the playoffs is in this thread though 😂. Bengals are in a 1.5 game hole and have to play us head to head, chargers are bad, the two divisional opponents we lost to don’t seem like they’re gonna be serious competitors. All the wildcard competition is in the AFC north and all those teams have to play eachother multiple times

For the ‘bills miss’ crowd, who are your 3 wildcard teams? I think this is a lot of doomsaying without much critical thought honestly. Right now we are the 7 seed and the 5-6 is pit and Cleveland. Do you expect them to stay there? Then trailing us is Houston,NYJ, and cincy. I’ll give cincy the benefit of the doubt especially since they got lucky with purdy out today but one of pit/Cleveland is undoubtedly going to fall off if not both i wanna see some people on record with their silly playoff picks 😂. Bills are probably 75-80% gonna make it right now. If we beat cincy next week I don’t really see a path to us missing

Lots of overly emotional takes on here these days…it wouldn’t be terribly surprising to see a 9-8 team sneak in the playoffs this year,10-7 is more likely than not in. There’s also a good chance 10-7 wins the division too depending on who the wins come against. I think people aren’t giving any credence to the fact that division games are pretty tough and the Brian Daboll giants was virtually a division game with how familiar he is with our team. So this whole attitude of ‘we lost to the pats there’s no way we can beat teams like the bengals and cowboys’ is not sound logic. Both those teams have looked just as terrible just as often

10-7 with two wins over Miami likely wins the division

If I learned anything this season it’s that people will criticize the team no matter what they do if the results aren’t absolutely perfect 😂

I wish I could visit the alternate reality where mahomes and Allen switched teams just to see what the results would be lol comparing guys on two different teams is pretty much impossible. Mahomes looks just as bad when his offensive line isn’t playing well, that’s just a less frequent occurrence in kc. Some of it is on josh not throwing it hot at times but you could definitely say the same for mahomes. In the old days where guys weren’t getting much separation and the offensive line wasn’t playing well josh would have an epically horrible game and it was undoubtedly clear he was a tier below mahomes. Now it’s a little murkier

Bootleg plays are pretty safe it’s basically just you vs one edge rusher and the vast majority of the time you can easily get rid of the ball. Fitz knows this I don’t really understand the criticism on that play on particular. Looked like josh came out of the play action too shallow…should’ve just thrown the ball away

I could definitely see Henry…he’s hitting the point in his career where the titans might want to get something for him when he still has value and he could help solidify our offense which is gonna need to carry our defense.

I don’t really trust anyone in the NFC but it’s gotta be somebody lol I was hoping for the lions but the ravens straight up embarrassed them. 49ers are about to hit a pretty tough stretch of schedule I think they’re gonna falter a bit. Eagles haven’t looked super sharp either. AFC it’s hard to pick against KC.

I’m keepin my fingers crossed one of Milano and/or Daquan jones can return and play decent for the playoffs. This was the best team beane has put together and we’d likely be 7-1 right now if one of von miller,Matt Milano,tre white, or Daquan jones was healthy which doesn’t seem like too much to ask for 😂. I know every team has injuries but ours always seem to find the best players

They aren’t as well coached as the pats and their head coach didn’t design our whole offense also to be fair lol. If the last three games taught me anything it’s that most coaches are stubborn idiots that won’t adapt from what they like to do for their current opponent. The giants and pats both sprinkled in a bunch of things that gave us trouble and Todd Bowles just completely abandoned it despite having more defensive talent than both lol the giants defense is kind of underrated also in my opinion…they have some absolute beasts on the defensive line but you’d never know it because their offense hangs them out to dry nearly every game.. I don’t think they’re far off this years bengals squad talent wise on defense tldr of this is division games are tough because of the familiarity, road division games are very tough, and the Brian Daboll giants essentially are a division game

Desperation could be a bad thing for a team just as often as it’s a good thing. There’s no reason to root for a team that is likely to be a potential wildcard competitor I don’t think they are the elite squad they once were, defense has taken a step back and really that was the strength of the team in big games. Might be a fun shootout next week

I think we’re having a big issue where when cook is on the field the pass blocking takes a huge hit. I’m pretty sure some of this shotgun draw business is to catch the defense off guard that dials up a delayed blitz to confuse cook in his pass blocking assignments. And it’s not like you can trot cook out there for running plays and Murray for passing plays because then you’re pretty much telegraphing what you’re trying to do presnap Singletary was actually a pretty competent pass blocker but not that explosive in the running game. Derrick Henry is near top in the league in both so that would be a pretty big upgrade if he’s still got juice. derrick Henry also can’t truck josh Norman if he’s on our team 😂

The burrow injury seems like mostly a baseless excuse to me this year from what I’ve seen. The games the bengals have looked bad the entire offense got absolutely dominated.

That call on phillips was correct but it was so corny lol. If the bucs didn’t get that call I don’t think anyone would’ve complained. Light, inconsequential facemask debatably after the play should’ve been blown dead. If they were calling things that tight all game there would be a penalty every play if our offensive line builds on the bucs game I think josh has a chance at mvp. The chiefs offense doesn’t look as sharp as it has in the past but their defense has stepped it up

I’d be more critical of the coaching if that late TB td wasn’t both an obvious opi penalty and dumb luck lol. That drive realistically couldve taken a few more minutes and Tampa was getting dangerously close to having to onside kick down one score territory Phillips is a dummy but that play absolutely should’ve been blown dead. TB caught every break imaginable in this one

Just looking at total points is very flawed also as any team will get more conservative up two scores against a bad offense…the offense was objectively better against the bucs who are coincidentally a better defense than the pats as well.

Gonna be tough for mahomes not to get it going against the broncos and chargers defenses 4 times

I am just baffled by this…Godwin was so clearly lost on that play for its entire duration to the point where he was facing the complete wrong direction when the ball was going by him and we’re trying to make it sound like we dodged a bullet? 😂. why is ‘if he turned around’ even a thing lol who the heck is facing the wrong direction at the critical juncture of a Hail Mary. Obviously that effects how the defense is playing him too
