Realistically it’s what the Bills should’ve done at the line during ‘13 seconds.’
Probably would’ve been a little bit harder to get away with it on that spot of the field but ya never know maybe it would’ve worked

Who thinks Miami was told to hold with time running out. Would be smart play really.
Definitely were…you’re not supposed to be allowed to hold to manipulate the clock but they did a great job making it look routine

We dropped how many last week?
An offense that runs for over 100 yards in a quarter most certainly can.
They ran for over 100 yards and left 8 points on the field due to drops. they are two possessions ahead of us and down a point because they have not been catching the ball in the cold

D looks awful. Guess what...Miami can play in the cold.
They dropped some huge passes the first two drives so I’m not sure that’s entirely true

At least they’re throwing them at both teams so nobody can complain about a competitive advantage 😂

Miami might be elite with more competent coaching…not impressed with the offensive or defensive playcalling. McDaniel gets all the praise somehow but their coaches are holding back a very talented team imo

McDaniel flyinggggg up my worst coaches in the league leaderboard

I'm not talking about total yards. YPC, 1st down%, negative play %, it doesn't matter. We're top 10 by most metrics. The disaster you think is there is the mirage.
It’s gonna be hard to take that side of the argument with what’s going on in the current game / recency bias but you very much are correct lol we’ve been stout against the run especially with edmunds/Milano in the game

We're top 10 run defense in almost every stat. Not the 85 bears, but pretty good.
It’s crazy because we typically do it out of the nickel…I’d expect to see Frazier mix up the personnel if Miami continues to pound it

So stupid for them not to run it there
McDaniel consistently makes all the wrong decisions…they’ve got a talented team but I’m not impressed with him at all

The amount of commercials is ridiculous
I feel like they’ve consistently added an extra 5 minutes of commercials to an nfl broadcast every year for the last 20 years lol

I think the recent success against the Fins O has been press man to man coverage. I suspect the Bills will play more press coverage tonight until the Dolphins can show they can beat it. Fraizer has been more flexible in his schemes. Look at the Clev game and how they shut down Chubb.
There was a tweet floating around that we played more press man against Miami in the first matchup than any other team has against Miami. So we may have provided that blueprint

Not to mention that the guy posted this at 4:54 PM EST and the Dolphins’ plane didn’t land in Buffalo until just after 5. So unless Tua went up early without his teammates, the whole thing is obviously BS.His instagram handle is @elitetua so I doubt he is a good source of unbiased football information 😂

He's Dead to me
He’s one of the few that went dolphins…picks are 96% on buffalo according to nflpickwatch which aggregates all the expert picks it knows about
I was honestly a little shocked the picks were that one sided…thought it would be 70/30

The wind and visibility will help the Dolphins, who otherwise couldn't keep up with the Bills on either side of the ball. Just like the wind game against the Pats and the heat game in Miami. Frustrating. This game will come down to who turns the ball over where how often. If the Bills throw deep, throw anywhere to McKenzie, or return punts in these conditions, they deserve to lose. But I expect them to win simply because they're better.
The dolphins have major issues when their offensive timing gets disrupted so I think they’re gonna struggle a lot more than us with a snowy field. Snow should ‘help’ the receivers run routes because they know where they’re going and will slip less than the dbs but the timing of their breaks will be completely different with lower traction. I think it’s gonna come down to which qb is better at improvising and these two guys are polar opposites in that regard
tua is a robot that makes pretty much one read and throws the ball to a spot on the field where he would’ve expected a receiver to be if the play was run perfectly. I don’t think he ever really learned to play qb since his college offense was just so much more physically talented than their opponents every week so they built a system around him getting the ball out quick on predetermined reads to physical freaks at wr.
kind of reminds me of Goff the year the rams got spanked by the pats in the Super Bowl. A good defense will give the dolphins absolute fits but they will blow out bad teams

The o/u for the Miami game was 54.5
The o/u for this game is 44.5
I’d be shocked if the weather didn’t have a negative effect on the total score. Vegas agrees.
It’s hard to say how much though…our defense is healthier than the last meeting and both offenses look considerably worse
-
6 minutes ago, NewEra said:
Sure…..but the scores are definitely lower when played in bad weather than in perfect weather 95 out of 100 times.
bad weather may favor the offense on some individual plays….. but definitely doesn’t favor the offense for an entire game.
Probably depends on the kind of weather it is. If it’s just steady snow and no wind it could definitely favor the offense all game if they’re used to handling a wet football. There’s been some crazy offensive performances in weather like that.
if it’s blizzard conditions though like the bills colts game and the bills browns game many years ago with wind and no visibility that heavily favors the defense.

I think it is a bit of both. In general points are lower but as the other poster said, the WRs know where they are going and the defenders need to react. It could result in guys getting wide open if a defender falls or loses his balance. QB still needs to deliver the ball too.
Yea the route running I’d say favors the offense for sure but the qbs gotta grip the football and the receivers gotta catch it. Miami keeps saying it’s a mental thing not a physical thing but it is very much both lol

Then why does Vegas lower the o/u for every game that is expecting lots of snow?
Snow on its own has a negative impact on the offense but probably not as much as people think. It’s really the wind/visibility that’s the killer and this storm doesn’t sound like it’s going to be awful in either of those departments

Whaaaaaaaaaaahh! 😭
This is the dumbest take in the world lol they moved the game last time because it was an insane amount of snow and they didn’t want to divert emergency personnel
this game where there’s a modest amount of snow is not going to be moved

I'm shocked the over under for this game is at 44.5.
Doesn’t look like it’s gonna be that windy…also I think people are picturing the colts snow game and it sounds like it’s not gonna be close to that.
I remember Brady dropping 5 passing tds on the titans before halftime in a snow game in a game they’d go on to win 59-0 lol Brady could’ve easily broken the single game passing td record that game if they let him

And heavy lobbying to move the game by the Bills organization!
What did the bills gain strategically by the game being moved indoors? We ran the browns out of the building and Chubb averaged a whopping 1.4 yards per carry.
I very much doubt they wanted the game to move at all…that three ‘away’ games in 12 days was a logistical mess
