I really don’t even think he’s a good qb for the mcdaniel/shanahan system either. Tua is holding the system back imo. Bills blitzed one time and gave tua plenty of time and he looked even more uncomfortable than usual which just can’t happen at an nfl level. Purdy runs it much better…he will at least hold the ball and attempt to make all the throws/give wrs a chance to adjust their routes. McDaniel seems like he has training wheels on the Shanahan system to baby tua along -

For sure and it’s completely illogical for so many other reasons too…I’m assuming the argument for his bills prediction was ‘well the division is much more competitive’ but apparently only more competitive against the bills and not the dolphins 😂 -

Imagine being 15 games off in the predictions of just your teams own division (assuming he’s a bills or dolphins fan) lol Can’t even hate on predictions that the dolphins win the division because they came close but man a team that famously never shows up against good teams turning in a crazy impressive regular season like that is just absurd. 11 wins was scraping the dolphins ceiling I’d say…I think the best they possibly could’ve done is 12. Predicting they win 15 on a bills board is borderline trolling -

The ‘not even close’ on the play just before halftime really got to me for some reason lol Johnson had a ton of momentum and it took a questionably illegal hit to reverse his momentum and keep him out of the end zone. It was in fact very close 😂 -

And we would be fortunate if Miami beats Baltimore somehow even though that validates them a bit so if we see Miami again it’s very good news -
I’m sure I’m in the minority but a couple of those felt pretty explicable to me lol. That defensive depth chart we had available mid jags game through NE(and especially NE because no Ed Oliver in that one either) was one of the worst units that took the field for any team this year talent wise. Even the bad defenses have 1 or two big time disrupters on the defensive side and we just had no one if Douglas was acclimated in the defense and on the roster right when tre white went down I think we win 13 games and maybe 14. Still an inexplicable loss to NYJ though 😂

I’ve never seen a team more consistently good against bad/mediocre teams which they def deserve credit for. On the flip side they just have nearly 0 success against good/great teams and the sample size is only getting bigger. They had the 3rd worst point differential against playoff teams in the league this year and were 1-5. It’s honestly crazy they were +105 overall despite being -91 against playoff teams. Last year they were 2-5 and both those two wins felt pretty fluky the ‘no tua’ excuse they used for a couple of those games last year is seeming less valid because bridgewater really didn’t play any worse against good teams like cincy and Minnesota than tua would’ve it seems -

If it’s unlikely they’ll beat the bills twice in a row I just don’t see how they make it out of @kc @bal. They seem to be much better at home too and we’re not great on the road. I think seeing us again in Miami was bad odds for them but their best odds at the same time lol. The name of the game is def avoiding Baltimore as long as possible -
Who will you root for - Miami or KC?

Those are things non amped up josh does pretty frequently lol I think we’re gonna have to agree to disagree here. The telltale sign for me is Josh bailing clean pockets/overthrowing easy completions and I just didn’t see any of that -

A couple people have said that so maybe it’s me lol but Allen looked like he was in control and not really forcing anything all night to me. Whoever you want to blame for the first int it wasn’t josh taking a crazy risk it was just a route mixup on somebody’s part. second int looked like he was pressing but it was 4th down so I’d kind of expect that. He seems to miss a lot of easy throws high when he’s too amped up and I don’t think we saw any of that really -
The jump may have got it honestly that was realllly close. It may have been a tiny amount short but the spot was bad regardless

It’s a crapshoot either way but I’ve gotta go dolphins because a path to the afc championship of pit then Cleveland/Houston is just too good. Chiefs defense ain’t terribly far behind Cleveland and I’d much rather see Flacco than mahomes -

Maybe I’m alone but I never really got the impression that Miami was gonna win this one. That jets game we gave up 170+ rushing yards, denver won top by like 15 minutes, pats were in control all game until a late fumble and they actually outgained us by 10 yards. Tonight just felt like we were beating Miami’s a** and they were just lucky to be in it honestly it was pretty much the Skylar Thompson playoff game all over again with tua back there -

Miamis gotta be headed for total rebuild in a couple years imo…that Shanahan system is high floor but pretty low ceiling and it just isn’t fooling the better defensive coaches in the league. They’re gonna lose some pieces if they decide to resign tua and really need a way to come up with elite defensive play but Howard is on the downswing and they got von millered with that Bradley Chubb knee injury. -

Allen is like unquantifiable at this point lol. Everyone’s like well if he didn’t turn it over as much we’d be winning then he makes a handful of impossible plays and ends up more than redeeming himself seemingly every game 😂. That INT in ot of the Vikings game last season is really the only time I can remember him blowing a game late or even not leading the bills on a game tying/leading drive when there was an opportunity
