There’s no way the chiefs even feels good about the chiefs right now lol. These posters saying ‘it’s part of the chiefs magic to almost flub their seeding in the regular season’ are puzzling me 😂 Playoff time last year every team was beat up injury wise but them which really evened the playing field for them. It doesn’t seem like they’re gonna have that kind of fortune this year but there’s still a lot of football left.

I don’t think their defense is gonna be able to carry them against the better teams the rest of the way…everyone is just picking on that other corner spot. Those blitzes just aren’t hitting like they used to without sticky corners on both sides of the field. On the flip side teams are bringing a ton of pressure and those offensive tackles just aren’t cutting it. Their good injury luck last year that was the driving force in their superbowl win last season has been evening out as it often does. Crazy they went into this year which such bad corner depth…you’re pretty much destined to lose one Seems like a huge uphill battle for them X’s and O’s wise in the playoffs this year but you never know. Don’t need to take risks is weird thing to say…they were a totally unforced boneheaded raiders error away from probably coughing up the 1 seed. I can understand saying that about a blocked fg…that’s your guys making a play on special teams. but a botched silent snap count by your opponent is dumb luck. I’m sure they know they played poorly and were fortunate to win today

Purdy is playing but no Williams, banks, bosa, Lenoir, greenlaw, aiyuk, I think Fred Warner is playing hurt. Even if purdy was 100% healthy I’d jump on Buffalo -6.5 purdy is a completely different player without Trent Williams then all those other guys on top of it? Williams legit could be mvp if the general public understood how important offensive line is 🤣.

NE demolished Tennessee in the snow in fairly recent history. I think it depends on the amount…a little bit of snow favors the offense. An absolute zero visibility whiteout definitely not though lol people only seem to remember the whiteouts though

Yea I’m not really getting this ‘they won the Super Bowl last year so there can’t be any luck involved’ argument. They are beating bad teams in unsustainable ways. Panthers game id give them full credit for because mahomes went down and sealed it late but to me the broncos/raiders games were mostly dumb luck. I’d throw falcons in there too as that missed dpi was absolutely egregious. They’re a 9-3 team masquerading as an 11-1 team for me. Still great but with quite a few question marks

Tua seems like he’s missing a lot of throws he’s gotta have this year. I do think part of it is teams are getting very familiar with the whole Shanahan/mcdaniel scheme and it’s making things more difficult.

No milano or Bernard or taron johnson either…that game pretty much means nothing as far as our defense vs their offense goes. I don’t think a McDaniel coached team is beating a Shanahan coached team. They’ll probably lose the niners game at minimum.

I don’t understand that part of the argument though…there’s a whole lot more going on contextually that didn’t happen to them last year and you’re saying they’ll do the same thing in the playoffs as last year Having to shell out for Jones and let Sneed walk has had huge ripple effects on the db depth and the offensive tackle they drafted to shore up that position is looking like a bust, they lost two big time wrs to injury, and so on. This is not the same chiefs team as even last year. I mean I get the ‘mahomes can will them to victory in the playoffs’ argument in theory but he has so much to overcome this year I just don’t see it happening. They really do look like paper tigers to me this year much like that Steelers team did

I think it’s a little bit dubious to just look at record when projecting future games lol. We’ll see what happens though. This same argument happened over the 12-0 Steelers and it very much went the ‘eye test’ route

Someone was saying the chiefs weren’t lucky and I was kind of in the middle but this seems like the second chiefs win based on dumb luck this year lol. Something like the ravens catching the ball an inch out of the end zone though I wouldn’t call luck

I think there’s this notion kc transforms into a completely different team in the playoffs but it’s a bit of a stretch. I don’t think the bills and dolphins could’ve combined teams to form one playoff caliber defense with all the injuries last year and chiefs got them both back to back. Baltimore they won with basically all defense which has been their regular season brand too

Idk there are huge red flags on this chiefs team for me…in the past it seemed like maybe they were going through the motions as the season went on but the talent was there. this seems like big exploitable X’s and O’s deficiencies to me all season long and teams are all over them and things are getting worse as time goes on. That db depth is razor thin and the tackles have been pretty terrible. Dvoa had them at about the 7th best team which i could see…I think they’ll be dropping after this one even if/when they win. At some point you cross into ‘why did we need to find a way to win against a scrub team’ territory when it happens a bunch of times
