  1. Oh yea you can have the warm and fuzzies or not haha I’m 100% ok with fans of the team speculating either way. The talking heads are just such clowns though they think because they’re getting paid they’re way smarter than any of us and will call Josh overrated throughout his entire career then turn it around and say they’ve defended him all along. It irks me 😂 any time something from one of them gets presented as fact it makes me cringe
  2. No im talking about cowherd/the nfl analysts..why should I take anything any of those people say seriously when they told me the bills would lose the division to the jets lol. they’re just as prone to knee jerk, over the top reactions to a single game as anyone here if not more so. If we beat the lions the rams game will be a blip to them and we will be talked up as the best team and then if we lose in the playoffs they’ll say ‘I told you the bills weren’t that good remember?’ 🤣
  3. Him being able to comment at all is wrong tbh 😂. He’s called Josh overrated so many different times
  4. We did not let them run to focus on the pass outside of the first couple drives to start the game. In fact it looked much closer to the opposite the rest of the way and Stafford made some incredible throws im kind of happy we got forced into that philosophical shift in the regular season to be honest…right before the lions is as good a time as any for that to happen
  5. The irony of that does give me a bit of a chuckle lol. It’s now just generally accepted for this week only that Joe Brady’s offense is unstoppable and there’s nothing the rams could’ve done on defense haha on the flip side though the rams/mcvay/stafford just aren’t getting a lot of credit for playing/coaching out of their minds. That 4th down call took a ton of guts that’s a sure loss if they don’t convert there and maybe still a loss even if they do and don’t punch it in the end zone
  6. This game felt like a different flavor to me but we’ll see what happens. I think we made some good adjustments but the rams just caught everything and Stafford was throwing dimes all day so it didn’t matter much in the final score it definitely at the very least started out as your classic giving up a ton of easy plays defense though lol
  7. Oh yea for quantity but that style of play seems like it’s bending a rule that a lot of other guys are taking advantage of too. That 4th down play was a plain old absolutely unquestionable false start that would’ve been massively consequential
  8. Haha I’m assuming this is sarcasm based on the font changes? 😂. I have to say though benford not being talked about as an elite player is getting a little ridiculous whether this is sarcasm or not so it seems like a good time to bring that up lol
  9. Idk that I’ve ever in my life seen an early rock like that not called a false start haha. Of course I can’t watch every game every week but that was absolutely egregious and in a whole other universe than the Jawaan Taylor early kickout to the point where I think we got some dpi makeup calls which could never undo the damage done by that missed false start of course
  10. Wildcard upset and you never know…i think that makes the next season afc championship or bust at minimum
  11. The early drop step as the ball is being snapped seems to be allowed, what the rams got away with both times was definitely not that lol that 4th down false start was about as obvious as it gets
  12. Do the lions next lol it has been mostly the same for them. The statement win I guess is Vikings with Sam Darnold as opposed to the would’ve been undefeated mahomes chiefs
  13. Baltimore game I put 0 stock in…the defense was ravaged and we have a history of holding Lamar in check. If those games exposed the defense why did only one other team beat us and almost blow it with a terrible second half? Lol Rams at full strength are a really well balanced offense and their qb needed to have the game of his career and a couple amazing plays by WRs to pull that one out. defense may be mediocre against the afc field but I still think the bills have a good chance at going on a run. Those chiefs tackles being terrible plays so well into our deficiencies
  14. Bills seem much more likely to run out second halves leading big than the chiefs so I think this is pretty misleading. If josh is throwing for 400+ he’s likely trailing. There’s countless times if we went full throttle on terrible opponents he could go 400+ and win effortlessly
  15. All of whom said the bills had no chance at being competitive this year I’m sure haha I think it’s a tad over reactionary but we’ll see. Idk who in the AFC is really capable of a game like that. I don’t think even Baltimore could do it. KC is so weak at tackle that it gives our dline a shot. Pit maybe? They don’t look particularly astute at pounding the run either though Hypothetical if we make the Super Bowl and lose, what do people do with mcd?
  16. I am curious at how big a scheme shift most people here are looking for though so this should be an interesting discussion. It’s definitely not impossible to limit the roster turnover. Definitely didn’t go well for the dolphins as the Texans though lol
  17. Hahaha I’m a jacka** touché. Still stand by the dolphins point though. I have no idea what I was thinking there with Houston. Must’ve gotten mixed up cuz he had a long playing career there
  18. I’m incorrect that Ryans got promoted from within the Texans organization therefore he was well versed on their defensive system and that is a much different situation than an outside hire? Lol. Gonna have to disagree with you there and I would go out on a limb and say you’re objectively wrong. dolphins there’s certainly some gray area. But even they are proof of the risk of turning over coaches/coordinators because Flores had those guys playing much tougher on the defensive side than anyone since has despite apparently keeping things mostly the same outside of the coordinator. So even if your roster turnover comment is justified it’s still proof things can go sideways in a hurry with just a coordinator change.
  19. I mean don’t people want a full defensive scheme shift? I was assuming that’s the case lol. You can find someone to take over at DC and keep things relatively the same but is that what everyone wants? If not I really don’t get getting rid of mcd at all isn’t the whole issue people are raising that his scheme isn’t well suited for the playoffs? Canning him for an unproven first time head coach and rolling with the same defensive players/scheme seems like an unnecessary massive risk The dolphins had a ton of future assets when they pulled the rug out from Flores so it was an easier transition. Wasn’t Ryans on the Texans staff and then promoted? These are not good comparisons to our situation
  20. There will inevitably be a modest amount of roster turnover at minimum if you bring in a new coach. It doesn’t really work like what you’re describing. Guys have to learn to play in a new system that they aren’t super well suited for and it will take a few years to bring in enough players that fit. Even if you aren’t thrilled with mcd I think the superbowl chances probably drop in the short term and should increase further down the road assuming you get the hire right. people seem to think of the nfl playoffs like it’s the mlb/nba playoffs and it just isn’t. Even if you have far and away the best roster, best coach, and the bye you’ve still gotta basically win 3 60/40 type games in a row. There’s a huge amount of luck involved. A new head coach could come in and still not put you over the top in Josh’s prime even if they get everything right. I mean look at the head coaches that have taken mahomes down in the playoffs. One was bill b who had the classic chiefs never get a chance in ot game against them which easily could’ve been how our game went with a little luck, one was Todd Bowles who was an average at best coach with a stacked team, and one was Zac Taylor who bengals fans hate and it was also a game that could’ve easily gone the other way. two of those guys are mcd level or worse
  21. I really do think it’s injury related against kc in the playoffs…I’m really hoping we get that rematch. It’s the other teams I’m more worried about. I think we went all in on personnel to slow the chiefs down and pounding the run made a bit of a resurgence while that happened. 66% of the games we had either 0 linebackers or our starting corners were Dane Jackson/levi Wallace against kc in the playoffs
  22. Oh it would yea but Ben Johnson isn’t pushing 80 while that happens 🤣. That’s the part that I think you’re not getting lol And he can kind of look for a dc that lines up more with the players he has (should he want to do that). I think belichick would definitely gut it all bills are pretty well balanced on the offensive side I don’t think you have to burn that all down even with Ben. Ben could def work with who we have but I doubt belichick would bring in an OC that could
  23. Yes lol or they think our offense would be fine under anyone which is kind of funny given all the Brady complaints this message board is the ultimate evidence of ‘the grass is always greener on the other side/prisoner of the moment’ haha some year between 0-100 years from now the bills will win the superbowl with a large portion of the fans begging the head coach is fired all year 🤣
  24. If you move on it has to be for someone that’s not a couple years from retirement or someone on the older side that has shown some capability in passing his knowledge on to coordinators. The odds Brady doesn’t get a hc job at this point are very slim so the odds he hangs around under a new head coach are miniscule. You’re likely looking for GM, head coach, and both coordinator spots if/when mcd is fired and it’s gonna be a full rebuild on the defensive side at minimum im still hesitant on Ben Johnson…I don’t think even his boss is gonna have any more playoff success than mcd is having but we’ll see haha. Johnson makes infinitely more sense to take a shot on than belichick though
  25. How long would it take him to build this defense? If you’re making a major scheme shift you are gonna lose a lot of effectiveness from our current players and there will be a ton of roster turnover needed probably would take a few years of worse results than mcd is getting before it being even possible for belichick to take a step forward. He’ll be mid 70s and Josh will be in his 30s. If he was considerably younger and could run the franchise for a decade or two then maybe it’s worth the risk but that is absolutely not the case. His coaching tree has been mostly abysmal too so I don’t really trust one of his coordinators taking over post retirement. This move just makes absolutely no sense. Brady is gonna get a head coaching job and I don’t trust belichick to bring in an OC this is something woody Johnson would and probably will do and it will go badly lol people refuse to believe the nfl playoffs takes a healthy dose of luck too so even if everything goes absolutely perfectly and he is his old self the odds belichick wins a superbowl before retirement are very very low
