This is an insane argument to me…rams were going for it on 4th and 7 very very likely. You think a 3rd and 17 is likely picked up cuz of receiver confidence yada yada but they wouldn’t hit on a 4th and 7? Lol It was a whopping 2 yards further than what they ultimately attempted. You back them up and potentially make that decision really tough/impossible on 3rd and long every time. the rams easily could’ve been running out clock on themselves with that decision. kind of the epitome of the mcd criticism on this board to me…yea he does some dumb stuff like the sneak late but a lot of this stuff y’all question in hindsight you can easily make the case for what he did

Stafford made a ton of tight window throws all day long…I’d be thrilled if Goff attempted some of those passes

I think people are saying he got two things wrong in a row but the accepting the hold felt like a great call to me tbh the sneak was definitely a mess and I think they had to go into it saying sneak twice without using a timeout if you get stopped…def a mess up but it felt like a pretty specific situation to me that I don’t think will repeat granted maybe the sneak doesn’t work the second time if we weren’t coming out of a timeout who knows

People are talking like nacua is all you have to worry about with the rams but they’ve got tons of threats. I think it’s getting oversimplified a bunch lol. A handful of those plays he made in very good coverage too

He’s below Barkley too and Josh…nearly impossible for mahomes to get back in the conversation he’s not even remotely close. All those guys would have to falter.

I don’t think Goff is capable of having a game even close to what Stafford did today. The guy was basically flawless. Put Goff on the rams today and they certainly lose

There were some late questionable dpis that I saw as inconsequential makeup call attempts for the botched false start that opi call on the rams earlier was whack for sure

I think it mostly tracks that the qb of the 1 seed team usually is the best player or is close enough that the wins swings the discussion towards them but that is not the case this year at all. None of the sportsbooks are treating it that way at least. I’d expect mahomes to fall even further behind even if he plays well tonight

Rams were probably a lot more conservative than they had to be with us not having that extra timeout.

Decent shot you hold them to no points and very little shot they convert the third and long. I think that was a great call tbh. Feel free to flame away about the sneak though I have nothing good to say about that lol they forced a 4th and 5 where they almost undoubtedly win if they stop it and the upside was incomplete pass and a punt on 3rd and long if the rams got that 4th down play down to a 4th and short or picked up the first on 3rd and very long I think the results then favor some mcd mocking but that wasn’t the case traded 2 yards for multiple opportunities to drastically improve their win percentage the way it went down

I mean after the run you have to call timeout lol. Hating on the run call makes sense though…our sneaks are insanely successful just came up short there

17 is a tough ask and they held them to a 4th and medium…if they got it to 4th and short I’d agree with you
