  1. Oh my GOD, man.
  2. Summary: Josh is having a home theater built and it's almost ready. He said he's feeling good, can't complain. First movie he'll watch will be Top Gun Maverick. Kyle told Josh his son Calvin still thinks he is the best player in football. Josh said he appreciates that. They watched Von Miller's remarks about how excited he is to turn this thing around, how he hopes teams will thing they are done, so they can surprise them. Josh said he's a first ballot Hall of Famer, and they've watched the film, they saw what went wrong, and now it's time to hit the practice field and fix things. The Bills are moving on, it sucks to be 6-3 and to have lost two in a row, but they are looking to next week. Josh described his process, you go in and talk through the game on Mondays, and it's never as bad as you think and never as good as you think when you watch the film. The Bills haven't gotten into a rhythm in the second half the last few weeks, but they will work like hell. And they don't want to not face adversity, they want to grind. Kyle asked about the fumbled snap on the goal line. Josh said they were running a push dog, the ball slipped away, Gabe didn't know the ball was on the ground, and it got away. He likes that they still had a great 2 minute drill after that to tie the game. Josh seemed more tense and more intense than usual but slowly he loosened up a little. He mentioned the Bills are not a bad team, but they've been hurting themselves a lot. (So true.) They have to clean that up. Kyle asked if he reads the criticism after losses and Josh said he tries to block it all out, negative and positive, after wins or losses. He's trying to be the best quarterback he can be for the team, and do the job as well as he can. Josh said last Monday the doctors were pretty pessimistic that he could play. But he said he was optimistic, he grinded hard, spent countless hours rehabbing, and in the hyperbaric chamber, but it was his goal and he made it. Josh is not into Stranger Things, but he knows Myles Garrett dressed up as someone from it--Vecna, says Kyle. Josh considers Thanksgiving one of his top 2 holidays, after Christmas. His favorite thing to do is give gifts, and then he loves mashed potatoes and gravy. He said he gets asked what he wants for Christmas all the time, by his teammates and his family (I noticed he didn't mention Brittany), and he doesn't really want anything. He likes giving gifts, not receiving them. Kyle watched Vision Quest (McDermott's favorite movie), it's about the darkest, weirdest high school kid who wants to wrestle. Josh (who didn't watch it) said he'll tell McDermott Kyle's review. For next week, he will watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles for next week.
  3. Josh is coming on in 5 minutes to discuss Vikings loss:
  4. Agreed. The 90s Bills benefitted from an amazing rushing attack with Thurman, Kenny Davis, Darick Holmes, etc. The rushed for 341 yards in a playoff game once! But when the issue of running the ball comes up, come people say the Pats with Brady, from 2007 on, didn't run much at all and had huge success without a running attack. Do you think that's true?
  5. Impatient 13-4
  6. Exactly. On that drive they should have come out with two backs and one or two tight ends, and run it down their throats. Two or three first downs and we win, nice and easy. Maybe one play action to convert a first. Ugh. You can tell Dorsey was a QB.
  7. Is it possible for there to be friction between Josh and other players or the coaches? That they want him to take the checkdowns and play it safe and he won't seem to do it? Similar to last year mid-season, it doesn't seem like they have that joy that they used to play with.
  8. The Bills could lose to the Browns AND the Lions, be 6-5 and still win the Super Bowl. You never know when a team will get it together and get some bounces, go on a run. No one knows who will make it to the playoffs in week 10. That's why they play the games.
  9. The BIlls desperately, desperately need more offensive plays that don't involve Allen doing something difficult. It may have been a blessing if Keenum had played this game, forcing Buffalo to run counters, off tackle out of heavy sets, jet sweeps, screens, all the things that teams do to divert pressure from their QBs. Worst that could have happened was a loss, which happened anyway. Under Daboll, we would also run trick plays to score TDs in the red zone. Maybe a little too much, but Daboll at least understood that the downfield passing attack doesn't work as well when compressed near the red zone. Meanwhile, even inside the 5 yd line, Dorsey has the Bills just lining up in the shotgun with three wideouts and asking Allen to solve a tough puzzle, over and over.
  10. BEST CATCH YOU WILL EVER SEE
  11. LET'S GO BUFFALO GREAT FIRST HALF!!!
  12. INCREDIBLE DRIVE. Maybe the negative Nancys will shut up for a little while?
  13. Wondering who is gonna sit on offense for Duke to be active. Maybe the game plan going to be super run-heavy and max protect passing, so they need 3 RBs? In which case maybe Shakir sits? Or McKenzie?
  14. Longest seven days between games I can remember! Elbow-gate 2022. LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!!!
  15. I miss Buffalo pizza especially Bocce Club and La Nova. We used to have fish fry on Friday’s growing up (80s) and I can’t remember the name of a single place! I do love a good fish fry though. Would love to try a place my next trip home.
  16. The Vikings are nowhere near as good as their record. They barely beat Miami who were starting Skylar Thompson! Even with Jefferson, Thielen and Cook, the Vikings have scored less points than ANY team in the AFC East. I think the Bills are gonna come together and expose them, either with Josh or for Josh.
  17. @BillsFanInRaleigh I love this topic. The only thing that has been able to get my mind off Ulnar ligaments. Gotta second the Mr. Sizzles rec. The Butter Burger and the chicken sandwiches there are just awesome. Swan Street Diner is great for pancakes, burgers, eggs, etc. A real sweet spot, a legit old train car diner. We grew up on extra crispy hot wings from Duff's on Sheridan. Still love them there. Gabriel's Gate wings are as good or better, and love their vibe. And love the suicidal sauce wings at Anchor Bar, the original. Black pepper! Duende, the waterside bar down in Silo City is an amazing place to hang, especially when they have live music and an outdoor fire. Try their special aged rum, forgot it's name but it's great stuff. Buffalo is FULL of cool places to eat and drink. PS if you're into live music, from punk to hip hop, hit up Nietzsche's. The real deal.
  18. I will say, the Bills definitely scared other teams this season with juggernaut vibes after the first 3 games, for sure. The last game, the way we lost and with The Josh being hurt, has dented that fear. I truly believe Buffalo will unite and focus to keep the wins going without Josh. They can beat Minny and Cleveland with Keenum. Then Josh could come back on Turkey Day and put together a national TV demolition of the Lions in his first game back, to remind everyone why they were so scared of the Bills.
  19. You have to win a Super Bowl to have that mystique.
  20. They never did this right? After Kyle tweeted “looking to Wednesday” and busy schedules and being in Europe?
  21. The Bills would be 8-0 except for two short yardage failures against the Fins and Jets. They need to be able to convert 1 yard runs 80% pf the time. If the lineman and running backs Buffalo has can't make that happen, then they need other guys.
  22. How does it work for the other cities in Ohio--do people in Columbus, or Toledo, root for the Browns or Bengals?
  23. Thanks!! All are healthy and perfect Now we need to win her life's first Bills game!
  24. GAME DAY! Feels like we've been away for months! Of course, since last game, we had a baby daughter. So the Chiefs game feels a long time ago (but not much sleep) to me So ready to get this thing started! Game time is 1:30am here in Central Europe, gonna pull the all nighter, change a few diapers too. LET'S GO BUFFALO!
