Hurts was dialed in from the beginning, took exactly what was there, and put every throw on the money. He built that 34-0 lead with the perfect rainbow to Devonta Smith, which killed the Chiefs dead. Just would not let them lose. There's no way you give it to Sweat or DeJean when Hurts played that well.

It’s on at 12:30am so just whiskey and Schadenfreude.

If the Chiefs win, I think he retires. If the Eagles crush the Chiefs, he might retire too.

Would this help in the grieving process? Super Bowl: first half the Chiefs get some insane ref favoritism, but the Eagles are too strong and get up by multiple scores on Saquon's 150 rush yards, even though he has a long one called back by phantom holding. Reid seen screaming at Spags to stop blitzing while Saquon is carving them up. Second half, Mahomes presses and throws two INTs in second half--actually three but one is called back by the refs on phantom PI. Mahomes has to pass 25 times in the half, gets rocked multiple times. Mahomes seen screaming at Andy Reid. Eagles pull away and win by 20. Postgame, Kelce retires. The three-peat dream is gone forever.

8 months till the regular season starts! 🤪

And at WR, this has resulted in too much redundancy and not enough dominance. Shakir, Samuel, Coleman and Kincaid all operate best out of the slot, so they didn't have enough snaps, and meantime we had no number one X receiver who can beat press coverage. Either Amari wasn't able to be that, or wasn't given the chance. We need that explosive reciever badly. A starting lineup of Shakir/Samuel at slot, Coleman/Hollins at WR2, and an explosive player at WR1, stresses a defense much more than what we were doing with Shakir, Coleman and Hollins.

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
Ray Stonada replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
This really irritates me. The Chiefs play over aggressive are constantly stepping over the line and the refs let it go every year. Damn it. -
Man, I don't know how many hours of work goes into these things, but I appreciate it. I hope we go for guys who are bigger and have more athletic potential, but maybe haven't fully realized it, like Spencer Brown. Chris Jones is an example too. Big and strong but didn't have many sacks in college. Chiefs got him in the 2nd round.

Ha. Check it out: "LONDON, ENGLAND – A man walks out of Warren Street Underground station wearing a Buffalo Bills jersey, with the No 17 visible beneath his open winter coat. He will not be the only person wearing Josh Allen’s name along Tottenham Court Road tonight. There will be 140 Buffalo Bills fans, plenty of them donning their MVP’s name and number, who will pack themselves into The Fitzrovia Belle pub to watch Sunday’s playoff win against the Denver Broncos." https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6060816/2025/01/15/buffalo-bills-london-supporters-fans/ Maybe next season I will get there for a game!

Joe Brady and Aaron Kromer had a rough night
Ray Stonada replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yep. Given the Chiefs pass rush and their struggles with run defense, and the fact that running can often help a quarterback settle in in a huge game, you'd think we would have started the game with a lot of Cook, and stuck with it. -

Cook not being on the field more does feel like a mistake. Ty Johnson is great but Cook is on another level. -

Benjamin Solak has no idea why Josh didn’t throw to Shakir? Because when he watches the slo motion coaches view over and over he thinks it’s the right choice? Sometimes these pencil necks make me laugh with their unearned arrogance. -
The stubbornness to continually run the QB sneak....

Also Josh is taking a pounding on these plays -

A "Tush Push" to the right just once would have been nice....
Ray Stonada replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
Doesn't even take Bobby Fischer to think of trying a tush push to the right. But with limited practice time they probably never worked on it. -

Or, knowing KC like Belichick likes to see tendencies and shut them down: Practice a tush push to the right, and practice a play where you fake it left and Josh rolls right with Gilliam on the RPO.- 64 replies
