Barkley is very limited as a backup, and throws too many picks to have him back. With Josh being a running QB as well as holding the ball longer than any starting QB, our season might come down to surviving a 3 or 4 game stretch without Josh. My preference would be a veteran who can move around. Someone along the lines of RG3, TT,Colt McCoy, Bridgewater.

Trent is a very pleasant surprise. After a pedestrian 1st year with injuries, Trent has been an effective rotational edge player. Now if he can set the edge against Deshaun, Hyde and co., that would make him a great signing.

Why would the Bills be the team nobody wants to face? They're a limited offensive team with one quality receiver, a rookie running back who they don't use enough and a running QB. The defense is solid, but a bit thin at corner. When I see a Bills team that opens up the offense and stops depending on the defense to win games, I will start believing. Perhaps the brain trust doesn't believe this offense can be aggressive without making mistakes. If that's the case, teams like the Chiefs, Ravens and even the Texans will look forward to playing us. Bottom line, we don't do anything offensively really well. All that being said, if you win the turnover battle and make a few big plays you can win.

Bills' mishandling of the CB position
Hampton Josh fan replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Every team has a position that gets exposed by injuries and lack of depth. Levi got torched plenty during the season and missed a lot of tackles. Losing him is not a killer. The Johnson boys should hold their own. -
The Bills beat 1 winning team and 1 play-off team
Hampton Josh fan replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What's the point You play the teams on the schedule. Did the fact that Miami was 5 and 11, make them unable to beat NE when they desperately needed the game Did their victory over Dallas on Thanksgiving on the road or Pittsburgh on national TV mean they didn't need to play pilayoff worthy football to get where they are? I know Bills fans are glass half empty mostly, but this team deserves to play next week. -
Panthers high on Brian Daboll
Hampton Josh fan replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't help but think his limited offense is partly because Sean does not trust Josh and wants to win low scoring games with his defense. His championship with Alabama was impressive. If he leaves and we add some playmakers, I'm confident we'll be fine. -
TJ yeldon is a playmaker
Hampton Josh fan replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the biggest indictment of Dabol's offense. They never found a role for Yeldon, who is their best screen option. They never incorporated another wide out as a realistic option other than Smoke. The fact that Josh running is such a vital feature to our offense does not bode well for advancing. -
Do you watch the gamea? They don't throw to anyone other than Smoke and Knox.Knox is going to be good, but how many big drops has he had. Foster and McKenzie have played every game and their stats are the same as Duke 's who hasn't played. They have no catches,no touchdowns and other than,,a few McKenzie jet sweeps ,no yards.

TJ yeldon is a playmaker
Hampton Josh fan replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All the knee jerk experts that think Duke and Yeldon can't add a dimension to this offense are clueless. Yeldon had one fumble when he played in Motor's absence and the coaching staff benched him for the season. Duke had a game where didn't have a catch ,and he never saw the field again. Look at the receiving stats in all the games when these two were inactive. Other than Smoke and a few catches by Knox, we had nothing. Dabol should find a few plays for these guys before we start talking about free agency and the draft. This offense doesn't score enough as constituted to make any noise. -
Sean has been a great coach this year. The Bill's needed a hard nosed guy to preach physicality and create a culture. That being said, Sean must prove he can get a playoff team deep in the playoffs. This requires identifying weakness and personnel matchups that give us the best chance. An example is forcing Gore to provide zero explosiveness in relief of Motor. He has stubbornly ignored Yeldon who is a reliable threat in the passing game. Another questionable choice has the receiving group having no production other than Smoke and an up and coming Knox. I understand they have no confidence In Duke, but why couldn't they add on or call plays for Foster or McKenzie. Why wouldn't a good DC just take Smoke away? I guess Beane has some responsibility as he sat on his hands at the deadline.

Matt is a good linebacker. Unfortunately he missed several tackles and must be shown the error of his ways. If I can predict what his reaction will be, he will make a positive contribution against Houston.

Shaq is a must resign. He plays well against the rush and numerous pressures with 6 sacks. Hughes has given us great play but he must go with his cap commitment. Draft a good edge rusher and get a lower tier free agent.

This one was on the defense folks
Hampton Josh fan replied to BillsBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The big problem is when you play so conservatively on offense and are not trying to add on,your asking a defense that has been on the field all game to be perfect. The teams in the playoffs don't have anyone named Duck Hodges last time checked. My question is when we add some more playmakers for Josh, will Sean and his offensive coordinator change their approach? -
If you could swap QBs with any team right now
Hampton Josh fan replied to Max Fischer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Have to say after Mahomes, Josh's ceiling is just as high as any QB within 3 years of his age. Wilson is over 30 and everyone else the jury is still out on.I can't say definitively Jackson will be better, and Jimmy G still has things to prove. -
Everything about this game should give Bills fans confidence that this team is on the come. Josh is a talented, athletic QB, that will get better and win a lot of games. The other sad reality this game showed is that the team is still a draft and free agency away from competing on a championship level. The offensive coaches have lost confidence in the this team playing aggressively in a passing league. Play close to the vest, field position games and hope the defense can allow you to outscore quality offenses. Sadly, the teams that will advance in the playoffs are going to score in the 20s against anybody.

Why Does Edelman Never Get Flagged for Taunting?
Hampton Josh fan replied to RaoulDuke79's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How about a defensive game plan that takes him away and makes their other pedestrian receivers beat us. I thought Sean was a defensive genius.I love Sean but why was Tre always deployed away from Edelman. Maybe it's frustrated Monday morning QBing. -

Hey anyone who thinks the road team will get calls against Brady and Belli at Gillet has not been watching games for the last 2 decades. -
Robert Foster = total non factor
Hampton Josh fan replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Either Josh has lost confidence in Foster and Mackenzie or they get no separation. Perhaps that's why Josh has to take sacks and or tuck it and run. Why can't Dabol throw to his backs. I also didn't see one screen. They are running really vanilla offense with an O-line that can't open holes against good front sevens. Unfortunately that's usually what you face in the playoffs. -
The Bills loss can be summed up in two words...
Hampton Josh fan replied to folz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is the same problem they had against the Ravens and NE the first time. We don't deal with pressure well. I know the Bills are not there yet ,but they should be able to either protect Josh better or just dial up some quick hitting throws to give us a chance. If Mackenzie gets one carry a game, why can't Duke play with his size and hands. Sean is a little stubborn about personnel. Also our run blocking was pretty bad today. It's frustrating to play them close and get out-physicalled at crunch time. -
Allen slammed on ESPN
Hampton Josh fan replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dan is an angry gasbag, frustrated at the Dolphins being irrelevant, who can't believe the Bills have their franchise QB. The guy is a 2nd year QB, that is a great leader who has shown toughness and has guided his team to their best year since the glory days 30 years ago. He has six 4th quarter, game winning drives, and his receivers are a work in progress. BISMANI is unintelligible, with a weak understanding of what works in the NFL. Perhaps, Dan should consider a salad once in a while, and let Josh just win games for a fan base that knows what they have.
