  1. What a loss. I didn't root for the Lakers but he was such a great watch. One of the toughest competitors and would put teams on his shoulders to get It done. RIP Kobe.
  2. There is no doubt Josh will make great progress each year with this guy directing him. Remember Josh came from a small time level of competition. His progression has been excellent but limited by a lack of big play receivers and an O-line that was new and developing. This year I look for a more aggressive passing attack and Josh to have more success with longer throws and accuracy. His leadership is awesome and he is a swashbuckler. What a great time to be a Bills fan. The future is bright.
  3. The Bills are a feisty team that is a few explosive skill players away from being in the discussion. They need a big, explosive receiver and another quality back.Throw in another solid tackle and cover corner and with the right OC and a Sean McDermott who plays to win and not to lose and I'll take my chances.
  4. The thing that struck me about his story is how the hell did they try to push the narrative that he became a homicidal maniac from concussion syndrome. This guy was emotionally constructed to be a violent predator by the domestically abusive father and the frustration of being a closeted homosexual. Throw in the entitled, above the law attitude that hometown football stars have , that gets supercharged by making it all the way to the pros. I'm disappointed that the iconic coaches at Florida and the Patriots cared more about his football skills than his obvious breakdown of behavior to live in civilized society.
  5. These guys gave Josh few options other than Smoke. The other problem was they were reluctant to call passing plays after they got leads so Josh became predictable with running the ball late in games. If Dabol doesn't open this offense up with incorporating Devin in screens and spreading the ball around using hopefully a big play receiver they add, we will not take advantage of a promising young QB while he's cheap. Sean has to also show a more aggressive offensive mindset, because depending on the defense to hold some of the teams on our schedule under 20 is foolish.
  6. Agreed, he represents an overachiever that was rewarded. Naturally, there's a realistic limit to whether it makes business sense.
  7. Phillips should be resigned and Beane and Sean should send the message, if you produce, you are wanted and will get paid. He brings a nasty, physical attitude to the defense line. I also don't see a better free agency option for the money.
  8. I love Duke's passion and I hope he's back with a bigger role next year.
  9. Probably the biggest thing that he can improve on. Especially if RPOs are going to be a big part of the offense.
  10. Josh puts the loss squarely on his own shoulders and the Head Coach throws his 2nd year QB under the bus.. When you let your QB get bumrushed , how the hell can you say he tried to do too much? I lost a lot of respect for this guy.
  11. You don't value making the playoffs after decades in purgatory. The guy has improved markedly from his rookie year. I forgot, some people just want keep changing QBs,coaches and GMs every few years. Sorry for the insensitive comment.
  12. Anyone who says no,should transition to another sport or not get involved in these forums.
  13. I think these coaches,in the heat of a crushing loss default to blaming the easy target, the young QB. Why would he admit his heralded defense could make the big stops at 16 to 0 late 3rd qtr.
  14. Absolutely , classless remarks by Sean. The kid was buried by free rushers caused by bad O-line breakdowns. Same thing happened at the end of Baltimore and N E.games. Why lay this loss on Josh, when you're responsible for the horrendous defensive ineptitude that resulted in the conversion of that 3rd and 18. How about the missed tackles on Watson's touchdown, 2pt conversion and OT backbreaker. This kid put us in position to get into OT and then win the game , if Ford doesn't commit the PF. Everyone had a role in this debauchery. Sean ,try and remember, this kid is our future. Don't destroy his confidence.
  15. Have to question Sean's assistant coaches for this. First, for a guy who preaches fundamentals, how did the O-line let Watt come unblocked on a 3rd down and miss easy blocks on Josh's QB sweep in OT. How could Ford expose himself to a crack back scenario, when the play was away from him. Throw in that 3rd and 18 conversion where 4 guys were too deep and didn't rally to the ball, Along with the missed tackle on Watson's backbreaking play, fundamentals hurt us badly.
  16. They made a decision early in the year , that they would not be aggressive with leads and try and win .with defense. Problem is,teams in the playoffs always score 20 or more. Even Houston, without Fuller, when they protected Watson, started scoring at will in the 4th quarter. I guess, they didn't trust Josh. Dabol, if he comes back, with more weapons has to change strategy.
  17. His 4th qtr and playcalling with leads is both confusing and unimaginative. His reliance on Josh running in big spots, is the formula for disaster if Josh doesn't learn ball security. Having said that, the personal foul on Ford and missed tackle by Milano was the 2 plays that cost us the game.
  18. Levi is a marginal cb. His cover skills are just ok and his tackling skills are worse than both Taron and Kevin Johnson. All in all a net gain.
  19. The game will be determined by the combination of Bills being able to pressure Deshawn enough to affect the passing game , and a secondary that can prevent great receivers from wrecking the game. On offense, no one expects us to win a shootout, but Dabol must open the playbook and attack the Texans pass defense, which is their weakness. If we can win the turnover battle and make a few big plays on offense, I like our chances.
  20. Before you get worked up, remember this is subjective. I think Josh is a push because Watson's career is riddled with injuries and Josh has done more with less. Josh has shown vast improvement in the 2nd half with decision making and turnovers. He's got 5, 4th quarter game winning drives and he takes full responsibility for anything negative or losing. Let's get him an AJ. Brown type receiver on the other side of Smoke and see where he is. Deshawn is a good QB and should be for years.
  21. This kid will be a top TE . He's fast, a great blocker, and can get yards after catch He's dropped some important balls but he will work his butt off. The guy wasn't a pass catcher in college and has become a favorite target in his rookie season.
  22. Do you care how many passing yards a QB has if he wins.Look at Watson's surrounding skill players and tell me the running back on the Bills with 1m yards. DeAndre and Fuller are one of the best tandems in the league .Brown and Beasley have been good but big edge to Texans.
  23. I would say it's a push right now, but when Josh gets a handle on the long throw, no contest. Josh also will get better with crossing patterns, when he learns to take some pace off on touch throws. All things considered, he's a great leader and with an improved cast of skill players, the sky's the limit.
  24. The guy hardly played in his rookie year in the NFL. How was the production of Foster and McKenzie in the games he was inactive? What is your problem with a guy that is over 6ft with good high point receiving skills? He got over a hundred yards against a defense that has been good the second half of the year. Some of you one dimensional personnel gurus get a negative bent on a player and you look to bury the guy. Duke is a highly motivated, talented player. Let him play on the big stage and he'll make us proud.
