What could have been! Fitz could have been the guy to get the bills a home playoff game!
Maybe it's not a popular opinion, but had the D been better during his tenure here, Fitz could've gotten the team to the playoffs. 2011 was my thinking.

This is the least stressed I have felt about a Bills game in a LONG time. We're talking probably only 2 years at this point, but until that playoff berth we're talking almost 30 years.

How many draft slots will the JETs lose with this pointless W?
Doesn't matter. Let them fall a few, then let them "reload" and fail again.

What kind of severance package did his agent work out for him? Or does that only work once?
I assume it's a lifetime supply of bologna, because you know... it lasts forever according to the Dougster.

i will never forget where I was when Marrone got hired for the Bills. My cousin asked me how do I like Doug Marrone and I replied the Bills better not hire that guy, he is a loser.
Doug has done very little to change my perspective. Even when his teams win it feels like it is in spite of him as the HC.I think that your perspective is correct about him not being a winner, ie being a loser. However, at that time I'm also pretty sure that no other quality HC was going to come here.

Every time I look at a team like the Jaguars, I realize how far the Bills have come over the past 3 seasons. Maybe someone already said this, and if so I apologize for the duplicate. Just taking a quick stroll through TBD today.

Jeepers...The Duck was a freaking udrafted free agent QB, in his 4th start...he was their third string QB...what was Collinsworth (or anyone) supposed to say?
I wasn't suggesting that The Duck should've been lit up or by Collinsworth or anything like that. It's just that I feel he was receiving effusive praise, at times, when it was not deserved.

No, Darnold went #3 overall. Should have gotten Mayfield
Keeps me from gnawing my knuckles about the Pats game
Seriously. I'm going to enjoy this run, and the next one. I've never been a guy who shows up at a message board and rants about how much money he'd spent to watch the likes of a Saint Doug or a Jauron or a Gailey or a Rex Ryan fight their ways to a 7-9 season. Or worse. This is something different, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
Does this team have flaws? Yup. But could they win the SB this year or next? ...
This hasn't been part of the conversation 'til recently. But it should be.

Because internet. I guess?

Collinsworth used to be my favorite NFL analyst, and we're talking probably 5-10 years ago. Romo is easily my favorite analyst now, and it isn't even close.
While I stated during the game this past Sunday that I don't care about what the national media thinks about the Bills (and that all I wanted was a W), I did find it super odd that Mike Tomlin was getting face time on camera during a Bills drive. I also found that The Duck got comparatively very little pushback for his lousy performance.

Do the Bills ever try to block a punt?
I'm not sure if they have to necessarily with this punter.

Offense better open up.
No more dropped passes
This is where things get dark with me. The offense can open up... if they stop dropping passes. It's maddening! I thought the team had fixed the problem this year. Ugh.

As they should we play scared.
But do we? The D doesn't seem to be scared. The O has its own set of issues and I don't think that fear is one of them.

That was a bad pass that was too high to a wide open receiver with no pressure. He has to hit that. I also “drops” like that in pretty much every game every week. Outside of that, Allen is playing ok. Not horrible.
Allen is playing ok to better than ok. Definitely. I just don't get these miscues on what shouldn't be that hard of a play. And I'm not even talking about the drops.

Announcers are seeing the game only from Steelers perspective.
They are falling all over themselves to talk about Tomlin. That is a true statement.

Listening to Michaels/Collinsworth makes me want to drink anti-freeze.
I was thinking of huffing some Pledge, but yes, you're right. Michaels used to be super entertaining, but Collinsworth is ruining everything.

He's beating several things hard, and all at the same time.

Collinsworth is a tool but he was right. That’s a throw Josh has to make.
Correct. Collinsworth is insufferable, but twice tonight Josh's passes have been way, way off. And I say this as a guy who wants to see Josh grow and play here for a long time.

Block in the back? That didn't seem like a whole lot.

Week 17: NJ Jets at Buffalo Bills PostGame
in The Stadium Wall Archives

I find myself shrugging off this loss. I had thought that a W was probable, but even so, it wasn't that much of a game to watch. For me the game to watch happened on Thanksgiving, and then we got a second helping against the Steelers. The last time I was indifferent about a Bills game was in the 1990 season finale against the Redskins. That's a super long time. Plus, I've had a house full of people (Bears fans, my in-laws) for 10 days, and a Pats loss helped take the edge off a bit.
Still, I find myself looking forward to the WC round. Unlike the ditty against the Jags two years ago, I'm excited rather than hoping that something bad doesn't happen.
