  1. A ***** to one and all, and to one and all, a good night. Hint: rhymes with dill-dough. 🙂
  2. Good win, really good second half, ugh about Tre. I evacuated from the GDT at halftime, and do not regret that choice. 🙂
  3. D looks good, and ugh about Tre. They've been off for the last month or so, and definitely do not look like a championship team. The only silver lining, and I say this lightly, is that I have seen much, much worse from this franchise.
  4. Glad that you coaxed this one out, @Virgil. Between you and @Shaw66, I can't wait 'til Monday (or in this case Tuesday) for you to weigh in. I'm just not feeling this team at the moment given where they are, but all is not lost. You nailed it, like @Shaw66, as you always do!
  5. I am mostly with you here, Bob, and the same thing crossed my mind. Where things are different with this team involves context, at least in my opinion, to a degree. 1987 Bills were viewed as underachievers, and it was a strike year. 1988 Bills exceeded expectations, and even HBO (I forget the name of their NFL show at that time) called them repeatedly the "Miracle Bills". 1989 Bills underachieved again, and I remember watching the Browns game and rolling my eyes. The difference here, at least to my thinking, is that there was growth between 2018, 2019, and 2020, and that there is a measurable regression in 2021. I kind of view 2017 as a throwaway season as they were in a lot of transition, and in my opinion, it was not a contributor to future success in terms of personnel moves that would be made in the future. Having written all that, and I'm not yet writing this season off, if these are the 1989 Bills, then most certainly I can't wait to see the 2022 Bills.
  6. Good synopsis as always, @Shaw66. Was wondering if you were going to take the week off after that debacle.
  7. This team has myriad problems, and problems I didn't expect to see after a great season last season. You say that they're soft, but what I saw today was a team that loses personnel, gets into a bind during a game, then quits. Would I call them soft? They certainly looked it today. But it looks like whatever they've been building over the past 3 seasons is not looking good.
  8. I didn't think that you have to run because it's a passing league, as I learned on TBD. </sarcasm>
  9. I'm on board with your line of thinking, but other contenders, who understand what happens when guys go down (and they will), aren't going to trade their talent. So then what do you do? You trade for parity, i.e. talent that's basically equal to the existing lacking backups that you already have. It's a quandary.
  10. Yes, depth would be great. But if a team has OL depth, I remain of the belief that they don't trade it just 'cuz. Look at the Bills now that guys are out. And yes, Ford is terrible 100%.
  11. The only way that he's out of a job is if after the season proof of an insurrection becomes front and center. However, these are the same folks who own the Sabres. Have you seen that team over the past few years? Unless it's egregious with McD, he stays, I strongly suspect. These owners are about to coming knocking at the taxpayers' doors. Do you think that they want to cause churn whilst doing so?
  12. The team was going to replace most of the OL by/at the trade deadline? This is not MLB nor Madden.
  13. Playoff team? Possibly. SB team? If the Orkin man can fumigate the joint after the past month or so, then a distant maybe.
  14. This is the first time I'm saying this in 3 or so years, but good and bad news aside, this doesn't look like a team that wants to win to me. They win and it's kumbaya. They lose, and they fold like a tent.
  15. You think that Frazier can fix this issue though? Did you see his defense today? Unless it becomes clear that McD has lost the team, like it or not, he's probably here for another couple of years.
  16. He doesn't because his name isn't Michael Jackson?
  17. I've gotta say that the dome argument thing delights me. So the Bills get good in a dome then get their butts handed to them in a cold weather playoff game. Then what happens? "Why did we spend all of this money on that dome in the first place? Nobody gives a crap about watching Jon Bon Jovi play a concert there in March." Could happen...
  18. 100%. Same dude banned me for taking @jrober38 to task for his QB whispering, i.e. "we need to sign Cutler" -- a thread that went on for like 200 pages.
  19. To his credit, he's not Whaley, but yeah, the gaps in talent evaluation / lack of depth were on full display today.
  20. He doesn't for another year or so, or not unless something comes up about him losing the locker room, or some such. Given the decades of clowns who've coached the Bills, I'm fine with another year or so from McD. I would like to see another OC though, and really... the lines are pretty sucky and need to be addressed. And, yeah, yeah, RB, another TE and so on.
  21. I can only go with what it's looked like up until this point of the season. The offseason had a weird vibe to it, and I don't think that, even with a winning record, the team can make a playoff run. What a sucky game this was, speaking of the game itself; probably one of the worst I've seen from this team in some time. It makes what seemed like a sky-high ceiling in 2019 and 2020 seem like an eternity ago. Groin out
  22. WE'RE TALKING PROUD, BUFFALO. Groin out.
  23. The Bills weren't good enough to score. There, I said it. Enjoy the offseason. I've often wondered if you like the Bills at all. Just saying.
  24. Well, since I've been watching the Bills since the 1970s, I knew that the Bills were going to stand a chance against Houston. The team was too good in that phase of its championship life. Any way you slice it, this team was going to lose, so was it the actual outcome, or would the Bills lose 52-9? Take your pick, because this woeful offense would've most certainly kept KC on the field had they gone for it. You most certainly can't deny it. Again, go for it with what? A team who can't run? A team where you might not be able to convert XPs? A team where the QB, who's been great all year, becomes scattershot?
