exactly. Daboll is so out of his depth at OC. he just has no idea how to make the game simple for his young QB.
get someone like Jay Gruden in here and watch Allen flourish under him. you see QB's around the league padding their stats with 10 screen passes per game.

I still think Allen's completion % is hugely due to our lack of talent on offense and the scheme
Daboll looks clueless almost every week calling plays, and we have one of the worst WR's groups in the NFL.
hard to judge a QB with this kind of supporting cast. Allen has the tools he just needs some help now from his GM to get him weapons.

we need to do something about Brian Daboll
we have little to no progression of the offense under him. Allen still looks like he doesn't fit this offense (despite us winning). sadly he will still be here next season but I doubt he is the future here.

this is Allens biggest personal accomplishment this season
he essentially turned John Brown into a #1 1k yard WR. Now get him an actual tall physical #1 guy and then we can properly judge him. Brown as a #2 or slot guy will terrorize defenses

John Brown saved the day. huge adjustment on that deep ball and then got the fumble from Devin that would have flipped the game.
Allen played ok. I won't judge him until Beane finds him better weapons. what he has to work with right now is borderline embarrassing, kid has no help.
We are also now #2 in the league in drops.

I truly have no faith in this offense to move downfield against this defense
both our scoring drives starting inside their own 40. playing for a FG on that last drive was one of the most pathetic things Ive seen all season from any team.

at the end of the day Josh needs to dramatically improve next season.
our 10 wins and playoff berth is sort of papering over the cracks on offense. We are ranked bottom 5 in passing again. Averaging 200 ypg and throwing at 59% completion is not the improvement we hoped for as fans but it is enough this year bc of how poor our schedule has been. Of course not all his fault, he has a bad OC and mediocre talent on offense.
yea we do need to improve the talent on offense big time. if we were a simply a top 10 or even top 15 passing offense we would be talking about SB contenders this year.
