I think it's both but primarily the former. 13 carries for out best guy who was getting 5 yards per on Saturday was not an execution thing. We saw this in other games too like the Eagles for example. Josh Allen already has 2 full season but still had trouble running it. The other guys had full mini camps, training camps, and 16 games.
Rex Roman's offense was waaaaaaaay ahead in only 1 season much less the second one where we averages 24.7 per game.
Even with better talent I'm not so sure he can get much better results.
I think we can/should do better than Daboll.
If we had that offense this season we would be SB contenders

I think that many just feel it would not be a good use of valuable development time for Allen to have to learn a new offense going into this year. I’m not sure if that’s what joe b means but I’ve heard others say this
it would be valuable development if Allen has an OC that doesn't force him to throw 46 times in his first playoff game ever on the road.
Daboll leaving will be the best thing to ever happen to Allens career

Forcing a draft pick strictly for need, while leaving an impact player on the board is what mediocre teams do.
lol we could have the #1 defense in the league for the next decade and it won't matter until we fix our offense
fans will soon realize this when McD eventually turns into the next Marvin Lewis

AJE would be a great fit in Buffalo. It will be interesting to see if Beane moves up into the mid teens in the upcoming draft if there is a player they really covet. For the first time in what seems like an eternity the roster is solid. HOWEVER, it’s critical for them to add significant talent that can be difference makers at WR and DE. Each side of the ball needs someone the opponent has to account for. Currently, on offense our only difference maker is JA. Current WR core is solid but needs more talent. TE are developing but have to become more consistent and reliable. Singletary has potential but we need a power back that can provide a 1-2 punch.
DE, WR, RB along with LB and Secondary depth seem like our biggest needs. I could also see us drafting a QB in the 4th round as a backup to Josh. Wonder what the staff thinks of Nate Stanley (QB from Iowa). Three year starter, strong arm, pro style offense, big and strong.
They have the cap space and the draft capital to make a serious run in 2020.
moving up for a defensive player when we had the #2 defense in the league and bottom 5 in almost all offensive stats is what mediocre teams do

I think you're mis-remembering based on WGR's quote.
He's saying as a team, this offseason isn't an overhaul. As such, we aren't going deep into FA like we did last year [by signing 19 new players]
ugh this doesn't give me confidence for the future at all.
this offseason is supposed to be our most important offseason in the last 30 years. we finally have a chance to break off and dominate this division but instead Beane wants to lay low??? our roster is not good enough, we massively overachieved this season with 10 wins.
-
lol Daboll doesn't even know how to use Singletary correctly, what makes you think he would have any idea how to properly use Hill.
he would probably leave him on the sideline while lee smith and demarco are out there running go routes. Sean Payton is the best offensive coach in the league which is the main reason Hill is even a name ppl know.

carolina hired a car salesman as their HC lol

win the division
anything less is a total failure unless we have 11+ wins and somehow end up with a WC. Mcd has to finally learn how to beat NE. it will be his 4th year and the excuses are done.
-
No, Brady is returning. he isn't letting his last memory in NE be a pick 6 and losing a home playoff game.
NE will go hard in the offseason to add skill positions and will most likely win the division again next season.
-
I understand keeping the defense together
but if mcd and Beane don’t look at our offense and see something seriously wrong with it they are no different than the GM’s and coaches that came before
if we finish bottom 5 passing offense again NE will win the division with a crippled Brady

Seems like we are not just going to throw money at free agents. Instead we are going to use a good portion of cap space on keeping our guys and maybe add a free agent or two and then hit the draft hard liking this model
very rarely do teams ever have success solely from building through the draft
I doubt it happens here. Beane needs to bring more talent here specifically on offense.

he was forced to throw 46 times in his first playoff game on the road. FORTY SIX. more than any other QB in the wildcard round.
Daboll is trying his best to run Allen into the ground.
-
we would be the laughing stock of the league if we gave Allen a contract extension this offseason and made him the 6th highest paid QB
let him sit on his rookie contract, it's there for a reason. we don't owe Allen anything, he has yet to prove he is a franchise QB here.

so they want to spend a majority of our 90m cap space in keeping our own guys? that's not really something you would want to hear, and a bit worrying
if this offense doesn't improve past their bottom 5 passing ranking that they have had every single year under McD we aren't winning anything here.
-
Ford and Dawkins have a long way to go to be considered a future core player. they were both mediocre this season
In fact I would not be surprised if Beane uses our 1st round pick on a franchise LT, and signs another RT in FA to replace Ford.
-
hard pass
too old and injury prone. I'd rather pay up for a better younger WR. AJ green will be KB all over again
-
If any of these 3 happen we beat the texans
JB makes the catch inside the 10 yard line to setup 1st and goal
Duke makes that endzone catch
Knox makes his block
Allen had his poor moments but he had zero help and his delusional fat ***** OC forced him to throw 46 times, more than any QB in the wild card round including Watson, Brees, and Russ wilson.

Chris Brown said that miss was on Morse. Not sure. I will have to watch it again. or are we not talking about the Allen sweep?
if it was it just adds to the fact that Morse has been disgustingly underwhelming this season. we could have prob got that production out of a average veteran Center instead of overpaying him.

I wouldn't hate this...BUT: Did anyone come away this year thinking JuJu is a true #1 WR? Lets not forget he looked great when AB was drawing double coverage every game, but as a #1 he didn't prove he could hang. I know there were challenges between the injury and QB situation, but at this point he is still unproven as a legit #1 because of that and when he wasn't hurt he didnt really have a lot of success.
And if Pitt was willing to trade him after losing AB, wouldn't that further raise question marks about their belief in him as a #1 WR?
if were trading a 1st round pick for a WR go get OBJ and let him take the #1 spot for the next 6-8 years here
-
move Ford to guard, bench Dion Dawkins. find a franchise RT and LT , trade for one if you have to.
sign a #1 WR and a backup RB. draft another TE, Knox is decent but he isn't a NFL starting TE.
-
Daboll leaving will be the best thing to ever happen to Josh Allens short career
pair Allen with a OC like Jay Gruden and watch us turn into a top 10 offense.
-
that's all we have heard this season, failed execution
so when will our highly rated GM stop bringing in glorified gym teachers off the street and start signing NFL quality playmakers to add something to this offense, this includes oline.

Allen and Singletary were our entire offense.
A second year QB and a rookie RB.
Josh had 264 yards passing, 92 yards rushing and a TD reception.
Singletary was our leading RECEIVER. (Huh?)
We desperately need some upgrades on Offense, and these stats, in a playoff game, could not be more eye opening.
You are correct in how the game was coached. Get up 2 scores, then limit mistakes and hope the defense holds. Not going for the jugular haunted them, and they better have learned their lesson. I do think, with improved talent, next year they will.
and yet you have delusional fans on this forum who want to sign a high priced pass rusher and draft defense lol
we need to throw our entire cap space and use the first 3 picks on offense. Beane needs to stop bringing mediocre talent here.
Hyde and Poyer - Disappointing stats.

no we don't. Hyde is top 5 safety in the league but Poyer is a bang average player.
