He did bring us back in Rams game. I feel on big stage when he is playing against  star qb or its a prime time game he seems to get flustered or nervous early in the game. If he starts out well, when he has easy completions to start he settles in much better. I am sure he thought he had to out duel Mahomes to get the win.

Dabolls playcalling in the 1st half really didn't help. Yea Allen missed a few throws but where were the high completion % throws and screens? Offense was playing scared.

Our weapons are fine. Allen has to get them the ball. Wentz is throwing to grocery baggers out there and they are scheming them open for him.
Kroft can be used, McKenzie has flashes, good teams fit their scheme to their talent. Our screen game hasn’t been working. AGAIN.
Difference for me the first 4 games vs the last two is Allen had forever and a day to throw those first four games. Now that time in the pocket is less he’s rushing and not setting his feet correctly. We had plenty of chances to make plays the last two games and put on an offensive show. We did not.
    Ball placement is still spotty.
And if you want a run game, you gotta have run attempts. We’re near the bottom of the league in rushing attempts. Could you imagine if Tennessee only ran Henry 8-10 times a game and he didn’t break one? Their run game would look like crap too.

the deeper rooted issue seems to be this coaching staff has no idea what they are doing. when it comes to big game they constantly get out coached and can't create a successful gameplan.

And yet if that fumble goes the other way chances are Josh is ahead 24-23 when he leaves the field for the final time

says who. Allen didn’t show anything last night that he was up for a game winning drive. I’m not hating on him just pointing out that Mahomes was the significantly better QB last night and Allen had another disappointing game vs a top team

so allen kind blew last night, but mahomes was nothing special either.  mahomes had a couple ducks absolutely rescued, the one catch on that drive leading to the FG (where kelce caught an almost hit the ground ball) would have looked really different if the refs called it an incomplete on the field, and if josh threw a pass that far behind it would have gotten some real groans here (myself included, i get all spazzy too).  the weather and the turf (i don't think we have fixed the slippery turf) was not helping footing at all.

my 6 year old daughter who just started cheer last night, after i told her the bills played really well to start but bad the past 2 games, said maybe they had spirit but don't have it right now, and they need to get it back.  it was a silly cute thing, but honestly, there is some goofy truth to that.  our team either kinda all puts it together or all falls apart.  we don't tend to have the spark plays that get the ship righted enough.  i think that's a function of a lack of confidence and a lack of leadership.  i get the feeling that the players are not trusting the process.  on D especially.

    what lol

mahomes went 21/26, he was very accurate in the same conditions Allen was playing in

Yes. If we can't beat the top teams in the league we need to at least show we can dominate the worst ones on the scoreboard. They haven't shown a killer instinct or the ability to dominate a team from start to finish.

I want to see the Bills put up 40 against the jets this week and win by 3 scores.

Thats what we need to get back on track and restore faith. Beating the Jets by a TD will feel more like a loss than a win.

this is the same team that barely beat the bengals and Washington last season.

fans need to realize we aren’t a very good team

  6. Why do fans always have to bring up how bad we used to be when trying to defend McDermott

usually when all you have is the bad teams of the past to defend your HC ...he isn’t very good

    There's this too

I *think* we would have had a little less pressure on Mahomes and some better run D from Phillips and from Murphy.

I can't tell you what the net result of that would have been - giving Mahomes more time is never a good idea.

surely we have the worst dline in the league?

I mean that’s embarrassing right there. score line did us a huge favor we got absolutely demolished by the chiefs

It took Andy Reid 20 years to win a Super Bowl. 20 YEARS and he is one of the better coaches in the NFL. I think people underestimate just how hard it is to win in the NFL.

Reid went to 5 NFC championships in Philly and 1 SB. McD can't even win a big game when it matters. We aren't even asking for much. We didn't beat a single good team last season on our way to 10 wins and barely got by some of the terrible teams like the Bengals.

    massive difference.

4th year of the HC and four drafts later. With his hand-picked GM. The same DC and third year of this OC and QB. And people brag about Buffalo being no worse than 5th in the conference.  Not encouraging, unless you’re a results optional type fan who can’t have expectations for fear they won’t be realized.

McD leaves a lot to be desired in big games.

    He does

look what Vrabel is doing in Tenn. They don't have many all stars on that team yet they play tough and he can outcoach almost anyone.

We are way too quick to panic. You millenials didn't live through the decade of fail. We held the Sb champs and the best Qb to within 9

The decade of fail Bills would have folded up their tent by half time

come on man. that game was not close at all. The chiefs dominated us after the 1st quarter.

Look at the yardage difference. We played scared and toothless tonight just like we did last week. Yes the titans are chiefs are two great teams but its the performance that matters not the results. We look like another mediocre 7-8 win team this year.
