  1. Great idea...I wonder why no one has thought of that yet.
  2. Thanks for the input. There is no doubt that I'll be getting tickets, I'm just not 100% sure where. As stated before, I am leaning towards the upper deck...I've got a week or so before my tax return gets here, so plenty of time to decide.
  3. My first game was the Bills vs. Bengals game, Dec. 29, 2002. If there was ever any doubt that I'd be a Bills fan for life, the first sight of Ralph Wilson Stadium settled it. We pulled up the Saturday night before the game, just to make sure we knew where we'd be going the next day...it was snowing and there were probably about 30 RVs parked together with a big group of people partying around burning barrels. That was the part where I knew... My Bengals fan friends were quite impressed with how passionate Bills fans are as well.
  4. And the men still have no facial hair, I'm sure.
  5. I'm a little more than slightly pissed that I had the opportunity (for the first time in about a month and 1/2) to watch Lost this evening, and it turned out to be a friggin re-run. Anyone know whats up with this? Will it be new next week?
  6. I'm leaning towards upper deck, but I still might give the Rockpile a shot. In a worst case scenario, I can always upgrade next season.
  7. Wouldn't be a huge issue here - I'm buying my ticket, a ticket for my dad (as a gift), and an extra in case I want to take someone along. Since I'm buying the ticket for my dad, he'll be kicking in for the hotel (if we need to stay)...actually, when I was up there for the Steelers game, I drove about 30 miles west on I90 and was able to get a 2 bed hotel room for about $45 (tax included). Also, there will be times when my dad can't make it, so I'll take 2 buddies and we'll make a weekend of going to the game, the casinos, and the Sundowner. ...besides, the way I see it is this: i'm 23, single, making decent money, and my dad isn't getting any younger. I want to do this now, while we both can.
  8. I'll be purchasing 3 season tickets within the next couple of weeks, and I am debating on where I should get them. It might sound odd, but never having lived in Buffalo with no ties to the city, I have only been going to games for the last three seasons - basically, the point where I have been able to just go and do whatever the hell I want (I turned 23 last fall). In each of the last three seasons, I have attended 1 game. I have sat all over - in a corner, in the endzone, and along the lower sideline. My debate here is between the new Rockpile section ($250/seat) or between a 300 level section ($350-400/seat). Now, obviously, besides the difference in cost, can I get some input from people who have sat in these sections? One thing to keep in mind is that I'll be going up to the games wanting to get the full effect, so I don't mind that people are going to be a bit rowdier in the Rockpile... My only big negative about the Rockpile is that my back is to the scoreboard, which would kind of suck. I've never really taken the time to notice, but are there additional "mini" scoreboards around the stadium (time, score, etc.)?
  9. I can get it at the larger grocery and liquor stores. Rarely see it on tap, but make certain to down one when given the opportunity.
  10. Cool idea. Seems like a disaster waiting to happen though.
  11. How is it that Cincinnati, with a population (metro area, including suburbs) of less than one million, can build a $450 million stadium, but NYC is having difficulty. Why must the state get involved? Can't the largest city in the world finance it? I'm not an expert (obviously) but it just doesn't make sense.
  12. I'm strongly considering getting 3 seats in that section...I have a feeling that they'll sell quickly.
  13. Great idea, but hard to give suggestions until the schedule is released.
  14. Is it safe to assume that the Rockpile will be the best place in the stadium to get rowdy? I'm planning on picking up 3 season tickets, but I might avoid that area if its going to get too out of hand (my parents will likely attending some of the games with me).
