He threw away a few downs instead of trying to play hero pointlessly and lose yards. He did that on only one down trying to make the third and long and lost us a field goal attempt. Everything else was pretty great. Long. Short. The reads. Can’t complain about any of that. I say that’s progress on an already great season.

Defense stepped up in the second half not sure we win without all those turnovers. Offense wet the bed in the second half.

First few minutes it seemed like they got over the third quarter shenanigans. Then that phony interception happens and everything fell apart. Coaches got to fix it. They also came out flat on both offense and defense, taking a drive to get into their rhythm. Again, something you can put on coaches.

Watching the same old Josh, but his receivers not being dropping machines really elevates his play. The line held almost all game too. Cant stand the designed QB runs. Running game was non existent. You can give Bass 3/4, but every kick still looked bad. Defense is good. Defense without both starting LBs isn’t as much. Don’t need to tell Beane where roster moves need to be made. Jets offense didn’t have much to offer though and points were from a single missed tackle and garbage. No big concern.

The line two years ago and receivers last year were not helping. But they were also not reasons why Gore would run for negative yardage down after down forcing Allen to be a hero. Singletary in the same games was unstoppable, but Daboll wouldn’t call it. The regression of Allen’s deep ball I also think has more to do with Daboll than Allen himself. He self neutered the biggest threat the QB had, which made everything else harder since teams didn’t respect it anymore. New receivers will help here, but only if they call the plays and take the risks. Not hand off to Gore for negative two yards down after down. I agree, his excuses are gone. His roster is loaded. Guy can know everything but he needs to make his offense effective and time to shine.
