It was very nice talking to you DrW. And of course, I wish you the best as a biochemical researcher. Never stop.

Thank you for the response. "They Live" is a classic, and I will have to watch that again this weekend. No, I have no problem being associated with the resident green new deal chica, simply because I understand the motivation behind it. I have my passions about environmental issues too, and although we may have different models on how to get there, the goals aren't too dis-similar. Where people generally focus on global warming and CO2, I am focused on the genetic and chemical pollution of absolutely everything in our world, GMO, chemical fertilizers and pesticides, especially trash and garbage. I am also deeply alarmed at the lack of respect to the microbial world that makes living soil what it is supposed to be and its relationship to the microbiomes that we cultivate in our digestive systems. We have a ways to go, and we need to talk a little more about solutions that can start small as more affordable environmental solutions so that they can be scaled up. Saving the environment doesn't require trillions, and I think that we will get there together. I agree that partisanship is a big problem, but it remains part of a logical trend. Power is devolving back to the counties away from federal dominance, and this is due largely to the collapse of global influence on America's internal and external supply chains. Local people are going to have to be more involved than ever before if they are to weather the incoming storm. I have faith that we will. The TV paints more contrast between people than actually exists in the real world. We have come this far, and we can go so much farther. Learning from the past and applying it is all we can do. It won't be pretty, but that makes the goal that much sweeter if we can attain it. Sometimes, the only things that we appreciate are the things that require the greatest sacrifice. Were you ever a Deep Space 9 fan?

The people that gave us the Iraq war are firmly in Biden's camp... ...I wonder what exciting new wars they have planned... ...I bet it's a secret. Maybe I will have to vote for Biden to find out what the next invasion will be.

In this case, the contracts were terminated, and thus these people were fired. It's semantics. These people simply didn't have their grants expire. I work on the side of the equation where I am in fact a sub-contractor in the digital space, and I can assure you, NIH is not unique. They have goals which exist in a working model based on priorities that the individual researchers are typically not aware of, one priority is guaranteed to be related directly with national security. For instance, the Defense Threat Reduction Agency has jurisdiction over the NIH "unofficially", and manage their own "sub-contractors" in that space. They don't even report to the Joint Chiefs, but strictly to Special Operations Command. When subcontractors function as channel partners in a space, the people at the research level are unfortunately looking at a one way mirror, while their work is shared with people outside of the NDAs and teaming agreements. The researchers are not aware of that, but that is the purpose of compartmentalization. I understand your disagreement with the semantics of how I describe it, but as a subcontractor my self who has to submit white papers often to get anything off the ground, it is best to view the bureaucracy you serve as a general contractor and yourself as the sub-contractor, for the sake of understanding the true nature of that business relationship. It's all the same business model when you have all parties seeking an expansion of a budget to prove a concept, and the eventual private sector rollout of a profitable solution. Good luck in your field, as it is ground zero for product development. Just don't fall into the trap thinking that there is no compartmentalized agenda controlling the space you work in. It is illogical and ultimately not profitable.

The headline is misleading, but not by much. The NIH functions as a general contractor that subs out the research to various groups as essentially subcontractors. When these contracts are terminated, they are essentially fired. I understand your point on the headline to some extent, but the fact remains that for many years, these audits did not take place, hence additional research was exfiltrated to the Communist Chinese and used in their bio-weapons research. Calling the work gain of function research makes the work seem far more innocent than it actually is. Keep in mind that NIH invested 4.5 million dollars in some of these researchers who were working directly out of the Wuhan Lab doing gain of function research. It leads me to believe that this was allowed for some time in the hopes of seeing where it leads, which is directly at the feet of the Communist Chinese Party. It will be interesting if this story continues. Who exactly were the financiers of this fraud and what banks did they use to facilitate these transactions.

True. They have played the false paradigm for decades, but now the paradox can no longer be suspended. Now, both sides of their narratives cannot be believed anymore, and they have only their disingenuous selves to blame. They have only contradictions left to try and sell to an ever increasingly skeptical public. Well, it is popcorn time for me bro... ...I'm out, movie time! -
I think that Albuquerque is a great location in that one of Epstein's cohorts was the former Governor Richardson. The Zorro ranch in the middle of a field was not far I believe. Both were tied into Dyncorp drugs and weapons smuggling. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiBp_aiia3qAhWFZDUKHY7SB9sQFjADegQIFhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.lcsun-news.com%2Fstory%2Fnews%2Flocal%2Fnew-mexico%2F2019%2F07%2F16%2Fformer-new-mexico-governor-bill-richardson-visit-jeffrey-epstein-ranch%2F1744279001%2F&usg=AOvVaw3JLiMVsHQ2RaNGJ3i6b5Yd https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiBp_aiia3qAhWFZDUKHY7SB9sQFjANegQIFRAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.politico.com%2Fstory%2F2009%2F02%2Fbill-richardson-tarnished-by-scandal-018741&usg=AOvVaw06qXGUBHRwGYgqcMVVZ9AT https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiBp_aiia3qAhWFZDUKHY7SB9sQFjAQegQIARAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.kob.com%2Falbuquerque-news%2Fwoman-claims-epstein-sex-trafficked-her-to-fmr-nm-gov-bill-richardson%2F5452506%2F&usg=AOvVaw1C8K80XhmZe0sJ1nf38GJ8 https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwiYm6mYiq3qAhVfl3IEHWjQAfsQFjADegQIAxAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vanityfair.com%2Fnews%2F2019%2F08%2Fnew-details-in-unsealed-jeffrey-epstein-documents&usg=AOvVaw3ZXp8na8dr32aiRlbAv-zH

What is better, no guns, or more guns?
Reality Check replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Well said. They were all just messing about... ...no harm no foul... ...and the couple gets to go on TV and fix their reputations with ease... ...while the "protesters" get to remain relatively anonymous and do it again. If this is how people want to handle lawlessness in the urban environment, then urban folks may want to consider moving while they can make a few dollars on the deal. There is nothing sustainable with this trend. BTW, your sarcasm was excellent. -

If people want to invade someone else's property in an attempt to intimidate and create fear, then this is the reaction you should expect. When people are threatened at home, you should expect to at least be threatened in equal measure. Apparently, they were effective in discouraging any more encroachment towards their home. -

I was very confidant that this was going to be your response. Trying to reason with some of you leftist operatives is a complete waste of time. You are not here to have an honest discussion. Have fun playing with everyone else. Off to ignore you go... -
It is a highly coordinated effortI that is international in scope. It is as though being law abiding citizens who simply want to work and build our own lives are to be punished, while degeneracy and mayhem are to be endorsed and celebrated as an investment in some dark future. Clearly, the goal is to insight fear as step one... ...what comes next, I am sure we will find out sooner than later.

I disagree. If people want to trespass and surprise people like that on their own property without previous provocation, then you are inviting a response full of adrenaline, and limited to a fight or flight response. As people cheer on lawlessness, you must expect that people will defend themselves in more extreme ways. If you want to decriminalize crime, while adding scrutiny to how victims attempt to defend against those crimes, while living in a climate of increasing chaos, without police protection, then be prepared for a populace that will become increasingly radicalized in defense of them selves and their property. It is a cycle that promotes crime, while also promoting more extreme measure to defend ones self. Is that really an ideal trend that you want to see? -

False... ...the problem is criminal trespassing onto private property... Funny how there are no interviews of these alleged "protesters" to defend themselves in this case... ...I suppose the problem with interviewing them is that there is absolutely zero justification for breaking through a gate onto private property... ...which is a subject that the MSM simply has to avoid at all costs... ...bad optics. -
