Is the Cigarette Smoking Man still alive?

So, cigarette smoking is healthy now?? -
The Bills offense statistically was very good. However, to me, it failed the eye test. It just looked stale compared to Daboll's offense. With that said, I'm hopeful the offseason is what Dorsey needed. They went heavy offense in the draft. Between the draft and signings, they focused on size at nearly every position, which, IMO was absolutely needed; bigger receivers, bigger RBs, bigger interior linemen. I think the running game is gonna get a big boost. “If they want you to cook the dinner, at least they ought to let you shop for some of the groceries.” — Bill Parcells My hope is that a lot of these offseason moves has Dorsey's fingerprints all over 'em. I'm counting on a better balanced and more creative scheme. Time will tell, but yeah, if the offense flops this year then the Bills should start looking elsewhere.

Agree on all these points. It's a little like when FOX put that stupid puck tracer on TV. It was an effort to get the fans from the southern states to be able to follow the game better. If folks can't follow the game on TV the way it is, they're not interested. I used to watch hockey on a 13" black and white. You could barely see the puck most of the time. I completely agree with The Quebec option. It would be cool to see a team back there. Sabres and Nordiques had some heated battles way back when. And while Arizona hasn't had the strongest following, I almost don't blame them for the "no" votes. I didn't know it was such a big issue, so I looked it up. There's a "grassroots" webpage that points out some of the glaring issues with the proposals. A tax burden and some sort of stipulation that puts $ in the owner's pocket. I get the tax issue, that's always a thing. But if there's enough people that say no, so be it.

Might be a little early, but if it's chilly, hide your 6 yr old in your coat. If they try to pat your belly, scream fat-shaming comments.

Yep. 2006 was right after the Lockout year. To get the fans back, the league implemented the strict penalty era. Everything was called. I think they put the shootout in that year as well. Teams that were built with skill and speed excelled. when the playoffs started, the penalties dropped, but it was still tightly officiated. Within 2-3 years, however, the slippery-slope affect kicked in and penalties started dropping. The playoffs started turning into what we have now. Or old school hockey like 3-4 decades ago. The clutching and grabbing is rarely called. I've been saying for some time now...you shouldn't build teams for the regular season. You have to build for the playoffs with a good amount of size and toughness, particularly on defense. The playoffs are when the skill players start disappearing to some degree. I think the Florida Panthers are a prime example.

For me, there's no team in the west I want to lose more than Dallas. They just have to be out. With the Sabres not making the playoffs for so long, my NHL playoff thing is to watch the Bruins, Stars and to a lesser extent, the Rangers, get bumped out. I'm fairly indifferent about the rest of the teams. So I'm down to 1.
