Get rid of the illegal contact rule. it's called sporadically at best, and usually out of the blue at the most inopportune times. There is contact on every receiver on almost every pass play! It's a useless rule. Suspend officials for flagrant bad calls or flagrant missed calls!

I saw that earlier. They're going to try it in the preseason. I think it'll be several years before the chain gangs are no more. I think the coaches will still want it. While fans in the stands can see the orange marker on the field, I don't think the coaches can. Especially on a field with a high pitch.

Years ago, a friend of mine was teaching his son to drive. He told him, "drive like everyone on the road is out to kill you." A bit extreme, but I get the point. Just be extremely alert to everyone around you. Unfortunately, now I think it's true.
