  1. I remember a long time ago, RJ mentioned in an interview that he's been asked many times to go National. He turned them down and when asked why, he said something to the affect, 'I told them I'm too much of a homer'. Buffalo through and through!
  2. I think she's a bit narcissistic. Maybe they're taking picures of Josh too. Might be a women/guy thing......
  3. Heard it on WGR this morning. One of a kind play-by-play guy. A buddy of mine sent me a highlight DVD of RJ many years ago. On it, there's a clip of RJ calling the plays with the camera showing him in the booth. It was back when Jim Lorentz was his color guy. The play was heating up and RJ is leaning over the edge of the booth, his face is turning red and you could see Lorentz looking at him giggling. Classic moment. His voice and intensity is unmatched! Wished he could have seen Sabres win a Cup RIP RJ!
  4. I'm not buying it. I think they have him on a hoist while they wheel it forward as he walks with his feet barely touching the floor. It explains why they're conveniently not recording his upper body.

  6. Funny, I don't remember saying it's happened before. I'm sure something similar has happened. Maybe not to "star" QB, but there's a first for everything and anything is possible in football.
  7. I can't wait for the first guy that dies because he purposely took a nap on a road trip.
  8. I believe him only as far as the situation dictates. If Josh takes a big hit late 1st quarter or early 2nd, I don't think we'll see him the next series. And I don't worry about him simply playing football. What I worry about, is some bubble guy trying to make a statement.
  9. Nope. The K-Gun was named for tight end Keith McKeller. So the new "Gun" name would be for Dawson or Dalton. It could be both, which would make it the DD-Gun. And I think many would agree, double-D is better than D.
  10. And lack of big receivers other than Knox. A lot of teams have a guy that you can just toss it up and they get up and get it.
  11. A bit off topic, but speaking of Tijuana and crime, Anyone hear of the Coronado High drug ring that happened in the 60s and 70s? https://magazine.atavist.com/coronado-high/ Fascinating story. It's a very, very long read, but well worth it. A movie was in the works, but apparently fell through.
  12. Agree. The Bills team is more settled-in than the Jets. With that said, can anyone imagine what the Jets fans (and media) will be like if the Jets win? OMG! I won't be able to turn on a single sports show all week.
  13. It would be the D-Gun, if we're staying true to form.
  14. This is not good. We all know what Gabe Davis playing with a nagging injury is like versus a healthy Gabe Davis.
  15. Ken Dorsey has a nuance the way he answers press conference questions that bothers me. He starts some of his answers with "Yeah, no....." And sometimes, "No, yeah......" I know a lot of folks have little quirks with the way they speak, but this just sticks out to me.
  16. Man, my reference missed.
  17. Preseason for a veteran kicker is simply finding the one guy who's the best pincher.
  18. Josh broke rule number 1........because.....
  19. The scene in NY if the Jets season goes south....
  20. I was mostly indifferent to the topic, but then I saw all the question marks and it sparked my interest. They should do it.
  21. I have Sling and I saw the game was going to be on NFL Network Alternate. When I turned it on, it said "subject to blackout restrictions." What the heck?! I live in Florida. Why the blackout? Fortunately I do have NFL+ basic. Recently found out the preseason games are shown live. After a little wrangling, I got the game on. Some stream issues at first, but it eventually worked well enough.
  22. As far as depth goes, I think our D-line is going to be a monster this year once Von is back. So many combinations they can employ. I agree with the Allen comment. I'd like to see a bit more. He did look jumpy and erratic at times. But I'm not as concerned as some folks here. He is new to the team and system. Both Allen-1 and Barkley have been here for years. Yes, Dorsey is only a 2nd year coordinator, but those 3 have been together a long time. On a side note; I think Mcdermott/Dorsey will flip the Allen-2 / Barkley rotation with Barkley in before Allen. I think game 2 it'll be Allen (1-2 series) - Barkley - Allen.
  23. I'm sorry, I don't do impressions... my training is in psychiatry.
