  1. I think there's a difference. It's okay to boo the teams or game play. But booing during the national anthems is disrespectful and demonstrates BS character.
  2. The work ethic in this country is for crap. A lot of people make it look like they're doing you the biggest favor in the world doing their job.
  3. The one issue I have with this take is, the Eagles won both their Super Bowls with different QBs and vastly different rosters. Yes, every team has significant roster changes, which leads me to a place I don't like to be.....I have absolutely no opinion on the McDermott thing. Whether he stays or goes, it wouldn't phase me a bit one way or the other. The Bills have gotten so close. Maybe McDermott can finally get over that hump. Maybe not. A new coach may struggle to even challenge for the division. What's the difference. Last year I went into the season expecting it will end the same, with a different narrative. Exactly. Next season, I expect the same thing. How will it end? Badly of course. But there will be a new talking point. It's just what is.
  4. It's still the SB no one wanted. I believe there was a very large contingent of folks that didn't watch, including me. And most of the folks that did tune in, probably watched to see the Chiefs lose. And I don't trust the NFL not to skew the ratings numbers.
  5. A coworker asked me if I was boycotting the SB. I said no, but I'm not watching it. I didn't watch a second of it.
  6. They need to bring this kind of fire back. Lindy is definitely the coach that can do it. We just need to see it.
  7. And a "merge" coming in 3, 2, 1...........
  8. Be careful. You could be subjected to severe punishment for not using the correct terminology when referring to Troy Aikman. His posse may come after you. But I fixed it for you. Roger Staubach Warren Moon Hall of Fame Quarterback Troy Aikman Big Ben Philip Rivers Drew Brees Eli Manning Joe Burrow - still time
  9. Sooo........they're not planning on playing any defense next season?
  10. Eggs....the new gold standard for thieves. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2025/02/05/eggs-stolden-pennsylvania/78244304007/
  11. When they vowed to improve, it was a flat-out lie. They wanted L.A. in the SB. The NFL has an obscene infatuation with the L.A. market. It's now clear to me that they're continuing to hand-pick teams.
  12. Don't listen to your doctor. It's obvious to me he cheated on his exams to get his license.
  13. I'm even beyond pissy. The word that keeps coming to mind is 'fixed'! Folks are using other terms; scripted, rigged, skewed. It's all just another term for fixed! If you're going to fix a game and you're trying to hide it, how do you do it? You can't make it obvious. It has to be subtle. Plausible deniability. I must have said about 4 times during the game, 'that's a bad spot'. I didn't know how bad it was until the videos came out and the National commentary started to emerge. I know a lot of folks are just writing it off as poor officiating or unintentional bias. So be it. But I haven't seen that level of bad calls in any game I've watched over the last couple of years. Going back a few years, there was the obvious, blatant missed call in the Saints Rams game. But this wasn't like that. This was surgical. And the football pundits are not going to talk about it. Even if they don't work for the NFL. They'll risk their jobs. I absolutely believe the NFL wields that much weight. This will be the easiest offseason for me in about a decade. After about 50 years of fandom, I'll be doing a good amount of soul searching the next several months. I feel the worst, and best I've ever felt after a playoff loss. (Sigh....end rant!)
  14. It's very easy for me to believe that at least one ref is intentially making those calls.
  15. It's a PTSD sort of thing. When they get the Chiefs in the playoffs, it's deer-in-the-headlights time.
  16. They couldn't use roughing calls to keep the Chiefs drives alive because those would be hugely scrutinized. So, they had to come up with something else. Someone in the NFL headquarters says, "let's just use ball placement to limit the Bills drives." And the overall response was, "Brilliant!"
  17. It comes down to the WRs couldn't eat another bite after eating all season. Just plain full.
  18. We'll know tomorrow.
  19. As was mentioned by Turk, the defense was not the priority last offseason, but it was the previous 2 or 3 years. What's been gnawing at me the last several weeks is; if the Bills don't do it this year, something is wrong with the player personnel, coaching or the process. Maybe all 3. The roster has been built the last few years to fill gaps and get the kind of guys this coach and GM want. And...they're as healthy as they've ever been in the playoffs. If it doesn't happen this year, something isn't working! They've got their guys and they're mostly healthy. This should not be the team sitting in the locker room eating Snickers bars.
  20. Same here. Got my first job working in a pizzeria that year. Brings back memories every time I hear it.
