I agree, Good! Because this is just a preview of what to expect if things start going South during a regular game!

It's a QB driven league, but these contracts are nearly out of control. With that said, I'd take Jordan Love over Tua any day. We've seen Tua's ceiling. I don't think we've seen Love's ceiling yet.
-
I'm guessing if you take Tua's #1 asset out, Tyreek Hill, those numbers plummet. And....we've already taken Allen's #1 asset out. And he's working with nearly an entire new crew.

The Allen-Diggs Relationship in Decline?

Where's Paul Harvey when you need him? -
QB2 is a problem and has been ignored for years

I think Trubisky has some game in him. I believe he could eek out a win if he had to go in for 2 or 3. -
This got me thinking,....has any team or individual already been eliminated before tonight's opening ceremony? That would be somewhat twisted.

When you get on the plane and everyone is still getting settled, the stewardess will get on PA and say, "Ladies and gentlemen, please find you seat and stow you bags quickly, we have a very full flight today." Wait, what? It's not just full it's very full? WTH, are there people sitting on laps? Standing room only? Is everyone over 200 lbs? 😕

How about Private Flight pet peeves.... I hate it when the bar is low on vermouth!

Hey hey hey,..... I may be old, but I'm not running down pets and family members. 😄

That's partly my point. Backpacks are not normally oversized. They do that to accommodate the larger bags. Why should I have to put my smaller bag under the seat when I really need that space for the legroom.

So, Joe Burrow opted for the serial killer look. Interesting choice.
-
Good news. He had a strong year. The rest of the team, despite decent talent, became dysfunctional.
-
Pretty much the entire process. However, here's a couple of standouts: Leg room Chatty neighbors People that refuse the check oversized carry-ons and spend10 minutes trying to jam them into the overhead bin, only to have a flight attendant politely offer the check bag.......likely for free. I don't travel as much as I used to partly due to the fact that it has become a day of hell.

Dawkins at WR? Get him in some open space and we'll have a Sam Adams (not the beer) deja vu!

What is your drink limit before you get behind the wheel?

Many years ago, there was a guy at my work that would ride a bike to the bars. A middle-aged guy who would drink a lot. Taxi's were (and still are) expensive, so that was his solution. One night on his way home he wrecked the bike, hit his head and killed himself. At least his carelessness didn't kill somebody else. Uber / Lyft has made it so much easier, and cheaper to get around. Uber is my go-to for the Sunday afternoon football outings. Now if I'm deciding if I'll have another beer, I go ahead and get 4. -
Maybe we should start donating. https://www.ducks.org Then again......."Ducks Unlimited was established by hunters...." Seems to be an oxymoron to me.

I totally forgot about that. In college "Hi Bob" was a drinking game.

Predictions and more. Pretty good preview video.

Didn't want to start a new thread on this so thought I'd put it here. Kinda fits. 50 Things to Know Ahead of Week 1.... https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-season-is-50-days-away-50-things-to-know-ahead-of-week-1-kickoff-between-chiefs-and-ravens/ Number 11 is interesting. I know what some might say, but I'll take just about any leap of faith out there: 11. Buffalo has led the NFL in scoring offense (28.6 PPG) and scoring defense (19.1 PPG allowed) in the 2020's, making them the first team since the 1990-1993 San Francisco 49ers to lead the NFL in those metrics across a four-year span. Those 49ers didn't make a Super Bowl in that four season stretch, but they did break through for their latest Vince Lombardi trophy in 1994. A couple of other interesting tidbits: 28. T.J.Watt became the only player in NFL history to lead the league in sacks in three different seasons after a league-leading 19.0 in 2023. Pittsburgh is 1-11 without Watt since drafting him in 2017. Speaks to their QB issues imo. 47. Both Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and new Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins will be trying to bounce back from suffering torn Achilles injuries in 2023. Among four notable quarterback to suffer the injury -- Dan Marino in 1993 (age 32), Vinny Testaverde in 1999 (age 36), Jim Miller in 2000 (age 29) and Trent Dilfer in 2022 (age 30) -- only Marino threw at least 10 more touchdowns than interceptions through the completion of his career post-Achilles injury despite all four of them starting at least 19 more games. That one struck me at first, but then I looked at the company that Marino is in and thought, duh! -
Not necessarily the best finale, but that last scene was genius. He took dry, deadpan comedy to a new level.
