I see what you're saying. It's a tough balance to stay competitive and also ensure you continue to be relevant in the future. But teams have gone all-in in the past. It didn't work for Washington many years ago when they were still the Redskins. They traded for every high end player they could get. It did work for the Rams, however, a few years ago. The Bills have been close to that peak for a few of the past several years, but always seem to be missing that one thing, or 2 things to get them over the edge. We fans have speculated what's missing, but we don't know. The Bills haven't figured out what that is yet and they'll likely never know until it happens. I guess what I'm saying is if they were to go after the "shiny object" I'd be perfectly o.k. with it.
