My friends and I made up some rules to make the game playable: Whoever was on offense had the power switch. You could turn the game off to get forward progress if the player started turning. You could help the player run straight by brushing the players forward on a tablecloth to straighten the feet under the base. On a passing play, when you get an open receiver, you’d stop the game to throw the ball. The ball could even hit the ground first as long as it bounced or slid into the receiver. Only way we could get reasonable passing game.

Probably because every season ends in a loss!

They've monkeyed with Monday night start times a few times. When it was 9pm, East coast kept complaining they had to stay up too late. They eventually tried 8pm, and West coast screamed they couldn't get out of work and home in time. I think they tried 8:30 and 8:35, settling in on what we have now, 8:15-8:20

We have to at least hope it works in hockey.

I can't understand why anyone would want him, even as a backup. He's inconsistent, inaccurate and has almost zero pocket awareness.

I mostly agree with this. The Bills are getting 1, likely 2 home games regardless. I do think the 1-seed is important. Not necessarily for homefield throughout, but for the bye, which I think is huge.

When I was a young kid, my mom would hand me a catalog (usually Sears or JCPenney) and say "Write out you list and put page numbers next the items." I would make an extensive list of the coolest toys. I never got one of those dam things.

After the playoff loss last year, I basically told myself it'll likely never happen. I spent the whole offseason and up to this point keeping my expectations essentially at zero. I've been asking myself 'how will the Bills implode this year and what will it look like?' It's a horrible way to be I know, but honestly, I've been a bit more relaxed watching the games. It's also a defense mechanism against the inevitable crushing feeling from an early exit. A lot of folks say, "just enjoy the ride." I get it. But the ride gets a bit stale when it keeps ending the same way. I will say the next month and a half should be fun with the Bills having all but locked up the division with a chance at the 1 seed. Mostly stress free.
