  1. Yes, but sometimes not multiple head coaches. Ie Bellichek, Reid. McDermott has publically chosen to not own the offensive failures since the start of his tenure. He is not and cannot be any source of continuity to subsitute for rolling OC. Long term decision making by Beane ought to consider if this is impactful or not.
  2. McDermott, like a common fan, chose to once again single Allen out after the game. I hate McDermott doing this as coach. First it does not nothing productive. Secondly it reveals that once again, McDermott doesn't take any responsibility for losing what was a winnable game at the end. The Bills played 58.5 minutes of disappointing football Monday night. Then they played 1.5 minutes of good football and were in a position to have a good chance to a better than 50/50 chance to win the game, after the coin toss. Good coaches, good players put the first 60 minutes behind them, and proceed forward. Monday night this team choked. Sure, Superman Josh was not thier monday to single handedly win the game. But the entire team had a hand in losing. 83 yard rushing plays are the expected point value of a bad turnover.. Decisions to not take penalties resulting in 3 points for the other team, is the expected point value of a turnover. Punt team giving up a TD is worse than a turnover. These mistakes don't negate otherwise good perfromances any more than turnovers negate Allen's otherwise good performance They all sucked. But McDermott highlighted only one player sucking. At this point the combination of the two of them sucks. At this point Allen, continues to be the responsible adult acknowleding his faillures publically. But that one way street is not likely sustainable.
  3. Jordan Palmers opinion. https://twitter.com/ZbotTweets/status/1702101457426591773?s=20 - QB Coach Jordan Palmer on @TheHerd today was asked why Josh Allen isn’t as “buttoned up” as of late: “It’s less about Ken Dorsey & what he isn’t. It’s more about Brian Daboll. I think a few years from now we’ll all say that’s the best coach in football…” “(Bill Belichick) made a comment to me once & we were talking about Daboll and he said ‘Daboll’s one of the only coaches I’ve ever been around that can be an elite offensive coordinator, an elite defensive coordinator & an elite special teams coordinator. He understands football at that level.’” “When you lose that, you aren’t just gonna replace it.” “What Josh benefited from with Daboll was not just the play calling but learning the game… learning the game from who Bill Belichick and a lot of other people think is one of the smarter dudes in the league at teaching the position”.
  4. The coaches don't seem to be able to get enough out of Allen. If the don't by end of this year, someone needs to decide if we move on from Allen, or move on from McDermott. So far the combination is not championship caliber.
  5. Cough, cough, you don't understand statistics do you? Out of 400 teams in the sample , 38 made the playoffs. So you can list 38 examples. And someone else can list 372 examples of teams that did not make it. This statistic does not say it is impossible. Its says teams have a low probability of making the playoffs after an 0-2 start. 9.5 % of the time. 90.5% of the time 0-2 teams miss the playoffs. Not sure that is often enough for comfort. Its my party and I will cry if I want to.
  6. Spencer Brown's false start to kickoff overtime ruined whatever play would have been called there. It had been a rough game, but Josh Allen led the offense down the field (overcoming a bogus OPI) to get the tying FG. Bills won the toin coss, and the momentum was with the Bills. Then chucklehead false starts, and everybody from McDermott and Dorsey to everyone on the offense seemed to soil themselves. And this negative momemtum carried over to the special teams, who asked everyone to hold their beer, as they proceeded to delvier the single worst ending play for any team in the NFL this week. The play was so bad, it could possibly end up being the worst play to end a game for the entire 2023 season.
  7. Buy: Josh Allen Hold: Josh Allen's Girlfriend Sell: OC/DC
  8. In terms of season impact, its the Jets. In terms of worst showing that a team should be concerned about, its the Giants without a close second place. They did not belong on the field with the Cowboys. In terms of the worst last play of a game, its the Bills with no close second. Coaching staff needs to find a way fpr the team to stop choking in situations where there is an opportunity to win the game at the end.
  9. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/nfl-teams-to-make-playoffs-after-0-2-starts-history-shows-why-cowboys-others-could-be-in-trouble-with-week-2-losses/ar-AA11Y5xR 0-1 may mean nothing. 0-2 seems to be statistically significant. Since 1970, fewer than 10% of the teams that start 0-2 have made the playoffs.
  10. Allen was 17/21 with all short passes at one point in the game mknday. Problem is thst offensive strategy does not generate enough points. We have to have multiple tells on the play calls. Opposing defenses almost always seem to know our play.
  11. Is it possible to merge all of the what is wrong with Josh threads into one place?
  12. This is why coaches like Riveria, McCarthy, and Pederson all were fired from teams they actually won Super Bowls for. Its a hard business.

  14. Step away from the ledge. Dumb dumb take.
  15. yes it is sarcastic. in a thread that deserves only sarcasm and derision.
  16. This is insane. The title of this must be changed. Pegula was not "Quoted". A proper heading would be Trotter lawsuit ALLEGES racist comments by Terry Pegula. This title is so misleading 80% of the posters in this thread don't seem to know, after investigation, this allegation is debunked.
  17. The giants had the worst loss of the weekend for sure. The Bills once again siezed the award for worst last play of the game award. Its nice that the Bills fans can connect emotionally to both of these teams.
  18. Want to follow up on this and propose some specific ideas for Allen trades, that ought to satisfy the "balanced offense" "take what they give you" "tell your QB to grow up crowd" Let send him back home. Allen/Cook for Fred Warner/B. Purdy/C. McCafferty - maybe this will finally give the Bills the personnel they need on defense, and it gives them a highly coveted weapon in McCafferty (with a Carolina Panthers pedigry no less). It works on the salary cap. Coach Shananan might be able to figure out a way to use Allen Back home number two- Allen to the Rams for Stafford/a first rounder and a couple of second rounders (not sure what picks the rams actually have). This gets McDermott a guy who has won a super bowl, stays in the pocket, and 3 picks to add weapons weapons weapon (or more delinemen Allen/Cook/Spencer Brown to Cleveland for DeShaun Watson/Nick Chubb/Wyatt Teller. This will bring the much desired balance to the offense and help improve the oline. This will save the trouble of having to have the difficult (and mentally deranged) you have to grow up talk
  19. Clearly we need to find someone willing to take Allen off our hands. Coach McDermott needs someone better to have a chance to win,
  20. As I said, losers blame blown opprtunites on others. Winners capitalize on opportunities
  21. But he did. Losers dwell on what happend on the previous play. Losers blame blowing opportunities on others. In a fact based world, the Bills had a 50/50 chance to win the game, and the special teams choked.
  22. 3 turnovers 4 turnovers 10 turnovers. None of those stats requires a forfeit. Game went to overtime. Special teams choked. Not the first time we have seen this.
  23. I understand that. Cook went down with one hand tackles several times. It was not as though he was being swallowed up by Lawrence Taylor crashing through the line
