  1. My impression from McDermott's comments is that he sees the coaches role as "reigning in Allen" to run the brilliant conservative offenses. I think other coaches might actually look to try to amplify Allen's talents with a much higher risk, reward approach. Could be wrong, but that is my impression.
  2. Why? If we can't win a championship with him, why should we worry about keeping him?
  3. Allen is my all time favorite player. McDermott does not seem to know how to use his talents. Does not seem to be a good match. I think McDermott would be happier with a Purdy plus weapons or Darnold plus weapons. As people love to point out he was just about as successful with Tyrod Taylor.
  4. There should be a timeline on the Allen-McDermott marriage. No super bowl this year or next year should result in divorce. I would like to keep Allen, but if the team is wants McDermott, they should give Allen a chance to pursue a championship elswhere.
  5. I am quite old. We didn't trophies when we won.
  6. There is second, there is third. There are lots of things that are not last. Even Ricky Bobby's dad realized that once he wasn't stoned.
  7. You prefer that to winning the Super Bowl?
  8. 25 % of the way through, what does success look like for 2024? Everyone is entitled to their own perspective. Trying to gauge the average opinion.
  9. He was the NFL Offensive player of the Month for September. Everyone else who plays offense was more off than him. So there is that.
  10. Allen is no longer a top 10 paid QB. Really not part of the problem.
  11. As long as we continue to run on 90% of first downs, we should be able to keep the other teams guessing. Anyone who saw the difference between the Texans with Nick Collins, and the Texans with Nick Collins today, got a pretty direct view of how much difference even one play making reciever can make on a team.
  12. Its clear he had what is known as a transferrable concussion. All the symptons were moved to Brady and McDermott, which explains there play calling on the Bills last two drives.
  13. It was obvious in real time, the tv cut to Allen out of the tent being handed his helmet, before the play was run.
  14. the correct call was "time out". Allen was out of the tent with his helmet in his hand before the play was run.
  15. Just rewatched, Allen had his helmet before the play was run.
  16. Thank you, if that is the case. But it seemed on TV, Allen came out of the tent, before the play was run.
  17. I still don't understand why we did not call a time out to get allen back on the field instead of Trubisky.
  18. Define fine. If "Fine" means "on pace to win possibly the worst division in football, win a home wild card game, then proceed to lose a divisional round playoff game on the road" The Bills are fine.
  19. Cheifs win superbowls, have an expensive QB, but we are in "cap hell" for the exact reason you stated. But "wizard"
  20. Incomplete passes happen a lot. Runs always keep the clock running. Don't overthink this. McDermott himself said it was a mistake. I simply said, coaches should not make the mistake he admitted to already.
  21. This is stupid. That is all.
  22. NFL head coaches, should get it right with foresight, not hind sight.
  23. Kyler Murray is a turnover machine
  24. This may be the best way to describe the current state of the McDermott era. Thank you.
  25. A brief primer on the difference a WR can make is Houston today with Nick Collins vs Houston without Nick Collins.
