  1. Nothing is perfect. The Bills defense is very good against inferior talent. They are only average against good talent.
  2. His name is Tyler, and people are confused about which Tyler he is.
  3. I have been watching the NFL for 5 decades. During that time there have only been a handful of offenses that succeed without relying of "tricking the defense". The playoff version of the Titans has sort of come out of nowhere to be operating at that level. Everyone in the stadium knows the play is a hand off to D. Henry. Yet time after time Henry is going though a huge hole allowing him to gain 2-3 yards before meaningful contact allowing him to provide incredible force in the physical mass x acceleration sense to explode for additional yards. This brings to mind John Riggins behind the vaunted hogs, or Jerome Bettis as the "bus" on the Steelers. These circumstances are rare, and in the case of Riggins and Bettis were not sustained for very many years. As jealous as I am with what the titans are doing now, I think you have to go back to Jim Brown to find a circumstance where this kind of rushing dominance was sustained for more than a couple of years. More recently, Bills fans have to to spend more than a decade watching Brady throw slant passes to Welker and then Edeleman. Personally I have not been suprised by this particular play call in more than 10 years. I assume DCs were never surprised either, but they really never stopped it. I am sure there are more examples of "unstoppable" offenses, but they are pretty rare. Setting aside the likely elusive goal of unstoppable, it of course does not matter where production specifically comes from. I love Josh Allen. He is not Aaron Rodgers. Its not clear that moving Davante Adams to the Bills would also move his production. Likewise with Derrick Henry. (Although I think Henry's production is more portable). I think the Bills production improves only with a significant uptick in offensive line play, improved catching competence across the board. In a non-Bills example, Metcalf played great for the Seahawks last night, but Malik Turner dropped a pretty catch-able ball that possibly would have led to a Seahawks win. The bills need 2 or three better pass catchers to meaninfully improve. These can be TE's or WR's. There are a number of NFL receivers who make a difficult catches with some degree of frequency. The Bills have zero of these players. Having two would open up a lot. Having even one would be nice.
  4. Jason Garrett proves your point.
  5. If you want to make the case "we are close", you ought to have the cojones to quantify what "close" is.
  6. Where do you think odds will be placed by the people that do that for a living ?
  7. This year the Bills beat only a couple of teams with winning records. To win the Super Bowl you need to win 3 or 4 games in a row against other playoff caliber football teams. Bills really haven't shown an propensity to be able to that yet. Its hard to tell how close they are. Will be surprising if the opening line for the Bills to win the 2021 Super Bowl will be shorter than 32-1.
  8. You will need Andy Reid for that.
  9. Schedule next season swaps NFC East for NFC west. It will likely be much harder. 10-6 next year will be a good result.
  10. Any knowledgeable football fan knows that running a nine pass zero run two minute offense in OT when only a FG is needed to win is coaching malpractice. But thanks for playing.
  11. That is oddly specific were you and T. Henry a thing?
  12. the replies in this twitter thread from Browns fans are gold. https://twitter.com/JohnHillbery/status/1215740010818949121?s=20
  13. Spain is on the wrong side of the ball. He had the best tackle in the game against the Texans.
  14. He may be a weasel. Has been to the playoffs 4 times in 5 years. And just beat the Bills in the playoffs. Flip the results around and TBD members would be demanding pre-retirement wall of fame enshrinement.
  15. Can you provide the names of these young QBs with lots of early success that then fail. And also give some examples of the QBs who only really develop in year 5? I think these are myths like bigfoot.
  16. I hate it when we lose to losers. Its so confusing to me. Does the double negative mean we won?
  17. I find it odd to call the second highest guaranteed player at his position "medium priced"
  18. Its really booger you hate. JJ Didn't do anything but play a game.
  19. Is Morse really medium price, or did he just perform like he is medium priced?
  20. I am a bit of a broken record on this subject. If the Bills are really thinking of themselves as "championship" caliber rather than "playoff" caliber, they need to switch focus from improving the team from the year before and focus on what it is going to take to go from winning zero playoff games to winning 3 or 4 playoff games in a row. This means figuring out how to get better than the chiefs and ravens. Our QB may become just as good as Mahomes and Jackson. He is not going to become better (neither is any other young QB). I just don't see how keeping things intact and making small incremental moves propels us past those teams, unless you think those teams are going to collapse.
  21. Kraft is pretty tarnished. I think he would rather sign Brady and lose with him eventually retiring asa Patriot. I don’t think they tank
  22. response to bolded. Being told what to do is easy. Teaching how to do it is something else. Its semantics, but proper advice to me, would include the drills you mention.
  23. Seems like a good question. Most HC's played at some level. And typically moved to coaching on the same side of the ball as they played. Most head coaches have experience as a DC or OC prior to being a HC. Its seems rare for someone to move from DC to OC or vice versa, so I think almost all head coaches are presumed to be more expert on side of the ball than the other.
  24. Bolded parts are same things Chiefs and Ravens will be doing . Its more likely a big move needs to be an new offensive coordinator. The gap from Reid to Daboll or Harbaugh/Roman to Daboll seems like a chasm.
