  1. Something like this seems like a good trade up to me. At least I would be pretty excited about season.
  2. Probably next years #1. With older Von Miller, Older Jordan Poyer, Older Mycah Hyde, Older Mitch Morris (all four of whom are broken to various degrees plus a broken Tre White) would indicate 2023 is a win now year. Personally I don't care much about saving nexts years #1 as the foundation of a new rebuild. But pretty good chance all of those guys are gone. And then we are building around Allen, Johnson/Skoronski-Dawkins-McGovern, a new Center (I would hope to get Tippman with our second round pick this year). Allen and strong line is the best foundation we can hope for after the mass exodus we should expect after this season.
  3. This thread is about trading up. What trade ups would be more characteristic of Beane?
  4. Trading up makes sense for Paris Johnson or Peter Skoronski. Two very good olinemen who would start in 2023. Trading up for anyone else would seem to be foolish to me.
  5. Bills finished in the top eight for the second year in a row. That is our tier for now.
  6. According @Airsevennot only is the Bills roster mediocre, Josh Allen is a liability. 13-3 must have been a miracle.
  7. Tipping my giants hand to make it easy. Or is it a smoke screen?
  8. What do you disagree with? I asked what people thought the bengals and vikings would do? How do you disagree with a question?
  9. This thread is all about the spelling.
  10. I think the Will Anderson comment that Wright is the best he has played against had a big impact. Some other notable changes. Jordan Addision dropped to 30. Trent Simpson dropped from 66 to 78.
  11. Your superior spelling skills for strange names separates you from the other humans. Kudos.
  12. Before Mahomes full salary cap hit though.
  13. Today PFF updated its its big board rankings. Darnell Wright went from #70 to #20.
  14. And his aav contract value is 14.5 million. Good deal for the chiefs. But not the budget busting decision guy.
  15. The Chiefs who just won the Super Bowl made the decision that optimizing team talent, meant relying on their superstar QB to generate the passing attack and not rely on a 20+million dollar WR Tyreke Hill. Results suggested they made the correct decision. Do you think the Bengals will make the same decision when the time comes with Ja'Marr Chase, or will they accept other holes in the roster to pay Chase. Similarly, will the Vikings without a superstar QB make a different or the same decision as the Bengals regarding Justin Jefferson. In general, Is the goal of the draft to get as many five year players who can contribute as possible, or draft guys with potential to sit and watch, and hopefully develop so that you can resign them at full top market free agent rates after five years?
  16. My unpopular opinion. Airseven doesn't have the first clue about anything football related.
  17. Drafting too young is proving to be a bad strategy. Three years of Edmunds in training, two years of quasi-productivity demonstrating further potential, and no ability to afford the 25 year old version. Total waste.
  18. For ignorant vomiters: https://www.pff.com/news/draft-why-positional-value-matters-in-the-nfl-draft
  19. No,positional value means top QBs are worth 50 million a year , top WRs are worth 22 million per year, and top rbs are worth 11 mm per year. Its the same for everyone, and completely independent of need.
  20. Cowboys, Jaguars, Giants
  21. I hope we can put together for ever the BPA myth and realize all teams include need and positional value in putting together their boards. ( regardless of my hopes in real life there is no way to do me a football myth)
  22. The offense seems to move pretty well between the twenties. Fewest punts in the league. it’s not clear Knox needs to be more involved in that aspect. It’s not broken (exception of to this rule is a possible small reduction in wearing Josh Allen out). The issue for the entire team is the same, translating all of this brilliant regular season success into playoff wins. In the 2022 playoffs Knox was the rare exception to the rule. He had a fine game against the Bengals 5 rec on 7 targets for 65 yards. His past playoff record is fine as well. Knox is fine.
  23. Sanders is good. He played against better competition. This is true. But Campbell can only play against who he played against, and did it with great success. And athletically he is exactly on par with Sanders. Both can be good players. They are close enough that it is ridiculous to say one can project either to have significantly greater success than the other.
  24. I am not sure. Maybe Mel Kiper doesn't like him.
