No such thing. 45 guys will be at some level of injury risk in week 18,.
-
we dont get a bye week with the second seed.

McDermott has put himself in a postition to have a chance to win it all this year. If he succeeds his tenure in Buffalo will probably be the lenght of George Halas. If he does not succeed, I will probably asking people if Dan Reeves was a good coach, and the logical answer is yes. And the followup question: was Dan Reeves as good as Michael Shannahan, and the logical answer is no. If we don't get to the Super Bowl this year, is it time to look for our Michael Shannahan, or do simply not take such a chance.

The playoff structure is broken. Having the #1 seed be the only bye, and having the advantage of re-bracketing the playoffs after each round is too big of an advantage in a league with unbalanced schedules. But that is the rule. And Andy Reid clearly grasps that the week 1 game counts as much as the week 15 game, and is prepared and grinds every game. McDermott did a fine job getting to 12-3. But McDermott's attention to every detail (going back to 13 seconds) is a cut below the Chiefs, and this coaching difference is arguably the primary reason the Chiefs are the #1 seed, and Bills are not, despite having beaten the Chiefs. The Bills have a legit shot at the Super Bowl this year. The #1 seed advantages give the Chiefs a better shot. But all the teams are flawed, including the Chiefs, and the Bills chances are second best in the NFL (in my opinion). If Bills win the Super Bowl, the decision to ride with McDermott (currently only Tomlin, Harbaugh and Reid are longer tenured with their team) for as long as they have will be validated. If the Bills don't advance to the Super Bowl, the offseason threads will be dominated by two themes. 1. One group of fans insisting that the Bills 2024 season was a coaching miracle of taking a bunch of injured misfits to the playoffs (backed by the ridiculous pre-season narratives that the Jets and Dolphins were far better positioned to win the AFC East) 2. Another group of fans asking "Is eight seasons enough time for a head coach with a potential Hall of Fame QB on the roster a fair chance to get to the Super Bowl?" Both groups of posters will be 100% sure there is no possible legimate point of view expressed by the posters in the opposing group.

Old guy references in play by play (Renaldo Nehemiah?? Really?)
Chaos replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Harlan wants to improve his relevance the actual expression should be "hurdling guys like they are Josh Allen". Renaldo Nehemiah never hurdled a player in the NFL, -
Bengals, Dolphins, Broncos -Who do you want to see as the 7th seed?

Ok -
A lot broke against the Broncos yesterday, leaving the door open for the Bengals, Dolphins and Colts. I am thinking the Chiefs are going to rest everyone next week, and let the Broncos win to keep the Bengals out of the playoffs. But if the Chiefs beat the Broncos. I think the Colts control their destiny. If Broncos, Colts, Bengals and Dolphins all finish 9-8 then I think the Colts come in as the seventh seed. I would rather play the Colts than the Bengals or Dolphins. So I am a Colts and Browns fan today.

Because there is no advantage at all to having identical production and skill sets under cost controlled contracts for an extra 3 or 4 years. MIght as well pay the big bucks.

Broncos, Ravens, Chiefs - Can the Bills run through this gauntlet.

Do you think the playoff teams have bad offenses? -

The Bills are worse with all of those QBs other than Mahomes. They are the same with Mahomes. -

Definitely have the most entertaining QB. The team that keeps winning the AFC championships certainly entertains its fanbase more than the Bills entertains there. Very silly to argue otherwise. -

The Bills were good enough to go 17-1. But they did not. There in lies the difference in seeding. -
Jets are considerably lower quality than the Steelers or Texans. Not sure they rise to the level of mid-level.

to they have to play a fourth game to get to the super bowl? -
No one said it was not a team sport. Pretending a defense that gave up 44 and 42 points “came down to earth “ is mentally deficient. That is the point.
-
They went 1-1 in the amazing road games on the back of one guy. He came down to earth. The others had never left
-
Allen came out so flat, the Bills were down by 14 with the Bills have only 1 possession into the second quarter
-
Any W is better than any L. So this at worst, the fourth suckiest game of the season. But its remarkable that the Bills at 12-3, other than Josh Allen, no one can point out anything the Bills do exceptional well, (maybe the RBs, but unlike Barkely or Henry, I don't think the Bills RBs scare anyone if Allen is not there).
-
The defense is not good. There are players that would start on other teams. But I don't think there is a single player on defense that opposing fans say "I wish that guy was on my team". Milano being out is like saying Tre White is out. The Milano of yesteryear is altogether gone. There is no magical scheme that covers up the lack of talent.
