Nice post. "Dorsey's demise was not utilizing Allen as a runner in the first 10 games of 2023". Should be bolded for emphasis. Not clear based on preseason comments last year that this was Dorsey's decision. The real question is how to not end the playoffs 1-1, or 0-1. I wish I had the answer. But it does not seem to be an issue with offensive talent. Or even offensive execution. To my eyes, the Bills have been out gameplanned in the playoff games. And the defense has faltered to many times in key moments.

The point of thread has nothing to do with a claim we need to add a hall of fame tight end. The point is the WR room is fine as is. And people's dreaming of adding some elusive WR that is the difference between winning the super bowl and not is silly. And also statistically not likely.

About 50% of Super Bowls won this Century, had Rob Gronwkowski, Travis Kelce, Jimmy Graham or Hines Ward as the leading pass catcher on the winning team. Winning Super Bowls without a Calvin Johnson or Justin Jefferson level WR1 is not just possible, its actually more common than not. Notwithstand the frequent turnover in OC's, the pre-2023 nightmare of an oline, the Bills offense has performed at level consistent with winning a Super Bowl for the last five years. Its just silly to think the Bills current WR room is going to hold the Bills back. Stefon Diggs was my favorite Bill other than Allen, since Diggs joined the team. I will miss rooting for him. But the Bills are not going to miss a beat on offense without him. Josh Allen will just get things done in a different way. The Bills ability to get over the hump in the playoffs lies elswere. It has had very little to do with the talent on the offensive roster.

My impression was Diggs issues with Buffalo was with coaching compentency in the playoffs hurting the chance to win. ( I am not saying is or isn't right, but I that is my impression of Diggs problem). I think he will play hard this year and see how far the Texans can go. And his happiness and next steps will depend on that.

Athe difference in Collin’s third season has a name : CJ Stroud. Coleman starts with Allen. If he is not a good WR by the middle of the upcoming season, he likely will never be too tier.

Dan Orlovsky is writing stories about the feelings of posters on TBD? That seems wierd. It drives me nuts as we head into yet another McDermott year, there is no clear plan on how to run the offense. Every year seems like an experiment for the future for this team.

This thread confuses me. For discussion purposes, lets say the Bills have the fifth best offensive weapons in the AFC. Top 5 offense out of 16, is not particularly dramatic. The Bills are also a top five betting favorite to win the Super Bowl. Who are these people "sleeping on the Bills?"

In my opinion, there are two primary factors separating the drought era Bills teams from the Allen era Bills teams. The first and foremost is having Josh Allen as QB. The second factor which may be equally as important is having the financial resources to compete in free agency. Among the drought era coaches I think I liked Chan Gaily the best. I credit him with being the inventor of the Fitzmagic. It would have been interesting if he and Allen had aligned in time. I am not sure if any of the other drought era coaches would have been anymore interesting than the Allen era coaching staffs have been. How would others like to rewrite history?

I would like to see us a TJ Watt level pass rusher, a Patrick Surtain level CB, and an expericened all-pro WR. As well as a linebacker that holds Kelce to zero yards.

As far as the regular season is concerned, all the games are more or less equally important. Due to how bad the AFC east is outside of the Bills, the Bills are a near lock to make the playoffs. It would be nice if the Bills go assemble at least a two game winning streak in the playoffs.
